  • @f0cusen do u comment on every single golf video??? It's ridiculous do u have a life???

  • and hes still better than you

  • Golf is so damn technical, I just swing the club.

  • It's not high it's on the shaftplane mickelson's right forearm is high but not tigers.

  • this is perfect, he s right where he needs to be the right forearm is on top, theres no way he s getting stuck from this position

  • He is drawing the shot... if you see him practising that is what you will see... look at his followthrough... much more aroung than normal... thats a draw for tiger.... nothing wrong here!!!!

  • Look at the camera angle... it's nowhere near down the line... therefore you can expect is right forarm to be high at impact... obviously a poor analysis and waste of criticism... and jack was playing with a golf ball that would curve much easier than the golf balls today..... most players shape the ball playing either pull cuts or push draws.... which prevents the ball from missing on the short side. Do your homework next time.

  • worst video on youtube bar none

  • the camera shot is not even from directly behind him, its off to the side a good deal so the attempt at analysis is flawed. Also, without knowing what type of shot he was trying to hit the analysis becomes even more meaningless. Bad analysis is worse than no analysis. Look at DeFrancesco's vids on youtube comparing woods swing with Hogans. Its scary how similiar their swings are in many ways. 14 majors and you have duffers who want to provide Tiger with swing advice. LMFAO.

  • What I'm looking at is the universal--and I mean universal--characteristic of the great swinger to have the trailing forearm under the plane of the lead forearm from halfway down until just before impact, and the shoulders closed during this time too, with the lower body opening. I just don't see any consistent exceptions to this. Even Nicklaus, when he revamped in '79-'80, cultivated that feeling deliberately and said it was the best ballstriking of his life--that's JACK NICKLAUS'S life.

  • i think he is doing something right when all you do is sit around and look for flaws in a mans swing that yours will never look anything like and you will never be as good as!

  • :01 (address) and :10 (impact) his positioning is almost identical...and on plane. What exactly are you getting at here?

  • Some pretty funny comments here. If you don't know anything about the golf swing please make a comment they are hilarious.

As for the magic right forearm, I think it has merit but isn't a fundamental, or magic.

  • What u 28 handicappers commenting for.....embarassing!!!!!!, until u fix ur slices and duffs leave the commentry from the people who have won majors before alone.

  • wait so no matter what if your under your plane with a back swing that points at your target at the top and you come down under your plane with a squared club face will it go straight? it will only go crazy if you go over your swing?

  • uhhh. no

  • high cut??

  • doesnt matter, as long as it repeating everytime!

  • who ever made this video, are you critiquing tiger's swing or just making an observation.

Tiger is in a beautiful position and I dont get why the people who would also agree with my statement are getting so many negative thumbs down ratings on their comments.

  • your an absolute nut job! your forearms are supposed to be like that, unless you want to be heel deep. look at any golfers in the world. The most stupid analysis that I have ever seen

  • By doing what he is doing, you get more compression on the ball, which causes more spin. On this hole almost evrey player trieds to do the same thing, because you dont want that puppy to hit the green and roll of. You want it to hit and stick or if anythign roll back.

  • thats an absolutely perfect position by tiger here. the goal is to be able to see in between the arms and the body at impact.

  • What I saw Ben or Jack to hit a fade, they still have right forearm on plane...fade or draw...all about the clubface...we need an on plane force.

  • what are u trying to show here

  • @MattJones1418 probably trying to get 1,000,000 + views for in ingenius idea of showing tiger woods changing his hitting style only slightly.

  • You know nothing about the golf swing guy.

  • @KOC The on plane forearm is a very important geometrical contribution for the golf physics. It can offer an on plane force through impact, but when it's off plane, the forces are going in the wrong direction, so (in order to make a good shot) you mustn't use that power source. Tiger is a true centrifugal force swinger. In this shot he had a completely passive right arm and he only used the centrifugal pull of the left side.

Geometry in this case is not in his favour, but he is Tiger...

  • Could it be, he wants too shape his shot? A high fade and therefor a higher right forearm?

  • not more bent, just more on plane.

Just before impact it is beautifully on plane then jumps over the plane at impact, watch closely at 11 seconds and you'll see what I mean.

  • Cheers, yeh I noticed that. So the right elbow should be travelling down this plane? What should he do to correct this high right elbow?

  • Koc, good video. What are you trying to show here, I am not up on tgm lingo of the right forearm. Should it be more bent and thus in a lower position at impact?
