  • Could we please get those links? I would really like to see the top 3.

  • Congrats to the winners! It was a lot of fun trying to paint a mini in 12 minutes. Looking forward to the next contest!

  • This contest was way harder than I thought, and I have alot of respect for the people able to pull it off. Sorry I got my entry in late Chris. I look forward to the next contest. :)

  • @creatureworkshop You were actually on time. The deadline wasn't until the midnight between October 31 and November 1. Hopefully next time though, it will be easier and you'll be able to practice on a few minis beforehand.

  • Congratulations to the winners, I recorded a vid....or tried to before my camera stopped recording about half way in and I didn't notice until I'd finished the model. Never got round to making another entry but it DID inspire me to paint some other models that I had left over, so it wasn't a total loss :D

  • well done on the contest . grtz to all winners

  • Grats to the winners and well done to those who didn't win, at least you gave it a shot! "You gotta be in it, to win it!" ;)

  • i was making a video for the contest and something happened to my timer, so when i stoped making the video the timer was frozzen >_< i didnt have anyother models to paint up... oh well next time ^_^

  • what are all the items you offer At AGproductions

  • @nicknak65 A series of "How to Paint" DVD sets and commission painted miniatures.

  • I was among the folks who initially said they weren't going to enter because I don't paint bad models, but that was before I got over my pretentiousness and figured "What the hell..." Then, I just got busy. Life sucks sometimes.

  • @insanedaemon Life does unforunately kick us all the rump from time to time. Hopefully next time you'll be able to get in on things :D

  • Yay! Third Place. Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Question?

...Did you just call the people who did not enter losers?

No disrespect just wanting to know if I heard it worng...

Congrats to all the winners out there I can not wait to see all the entry's!

  • @Natakue Lol, no. The people that would fall into that first category would be the people such as the ones on many of the forums where we advertised this video. Some of the phrases used, "Well, I'd like to compete, but I don't want to have to subscribe," or "I'd like to compete, but I only paint high quality models...this contest is beneath me," or, "the video's too long to watch." Basically its just the idea that they wanted to do it, but they were looking for an excuse why they wouldn't.

  • @Natakue Kinda felt that way didn't it?

If I wanted to motivate more people to compete next time I might have said something similar.

I have a differing opinion of the "Philosophy of the warrior" it comes from one of, if not the most highly esteemed warrior philosophers.

"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it; if fighting will not result in victory, then you must not fight even at the ruler's bidding." ~Sun Tzu

    Smart people win!

  • I filmed an estry but i'm only an amateur and I was demotivated to see that experts like GirlPainting and a lot of other amazing entires had entered the contest, so I didn't upload it and besides it looked pretty bad

  • fyi there are no warrior camps listed at this time

    congrats to them!

  • Hmmcmpf this did not boost my confidence...

  • that and none of the winners based there models too! I didn't notice that till i re watched the videos =o.

  • @GamzaTheChaosSoldier Generally speaking, a really nice model with a simplistic base (just painted black, brown, etc.) would be better than an "ok" painted model with a fully completed base. Overall, the minis looked better than the other ones in the competition. The bases were just a small part of the model.

  • Hmm I think going with a smaller model has the better chance now. I did notice a huge difference on the amount of detail you can work out on smaller models since its less miniature too cover. the afro figure was cool but he still had white under his sleeve that was holding his gun xP. all in all good job and grats to the winners! we will have more contests so lets get ready!

  • @GamzaTheChaosSoldier The part that looks white is actually flesh tone left from the wrist. Apparently the wash did not get to it, so it looks lighter than the rest of the hand.

  • bah! winners not posted yet. I was looking forward to seeing them as I didn't have time to enter this contest.

  • I wish I could have taken part in this, I had to go back to university and painting equipment was second on the list to things necessary for survival

  • congratulations winners, some nice motivational talk there too :)

  • Congrats to the winners!

  • first :P
