  • Another #1 hit for Buck Owens on the Country & Western charts. It was the 106th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. Yes, it looks to be a battle between BO and Sonny James for the top Country Music star.

  • James Burton played on the original studio recording instead of Don but they are both amazing players. That's why Don's solo here sounds more like James Burton than Don Rich.

  • I AM A BIG FAN OF THE BUCK OWENS SOUND,ESP DON RICH..RIP BUD

  • @jerrysknob As a kid I listened to Buck on record and always loved the great harmony but didnt know who it was.

Here in the UK we didnt get ANY of the country shows from the states so faces were not known either, when I did finally get to see the band it was just fabulous. Surely Don Rich must have been the best man to have by your side , in every video you see of Buck and Don, Buck has absolute confidence in what Don is going to do ok they rehearse but the performance is flowing perfection .

  • @pedalman When Don Rich was killed in a motorcycle accident it dang near took Buck Owens down. He and Don were a team and he had a hard time after Don was gone.

  • I heard this music as a kid and it's the reason why I am a guitar player!

  • That's the real way a Telecaster should sound. How about those Sonor drums? Seems like everybody had those back then, great hardware.

Oh yeah Buck show wasn't too shabby either!!!

Love that Bakersfield harmony with Buck and Don!

    See ya'

  • @gguitarlizard Gray Sparkle like Dons or the leather bound one Merle Haggerd plays?
