Now you're just arguing semantics to look less owned. Haha.
The Rock is now in the ROLE of Hulk Hogan 10 years ago. John Cena is now in the ROLE of The Rock 10 years ago. It's another "passing the torch" style moment. Hulk Hogan's ROLE here, was to pass the torch, as he himself has discussed. You have NO clue how the word ROLE can be used apparently. And someone else gave me a "thumbs up" = awesome. Go me.
Both of them can't wrestle. But man can The Rock sell great. And both can make the crowd go crazy. I think this match had the biggest pop I've ever head.
Gah you have no idea how bad i wanted Hogan to win i still get goosebumps and wonder what would happen if he did pull it off but its cool that rock won love him to
just what angers me is that hogan lost the 2nd match between the two and in such a lame way
Man, NOBODY has ever been able to work a crowd like Hogan. Who else can be a complete heel, giving low blows and eye rakes, and still get pops as big as those? When has anybody ever got the reaction Hogan got when he jumped up from that rock bottom and hulked up? Still amazed about this match, and nothing has lived up to it since.
see i thought the rock would actually show respect to john cena getting the fuck beat out of him for 10+ minutes too, but he's just not the same guy that left in 2004 anymore.
its like theyre trying to create artificial hate for the wrestlemania match and i just
The Rock BETTER beat Cena's ass at WrestleMania... If The Rock loses to that lame, untalented, unskilled, PG Era Rock wannabe, im fuckin done with the WWE for good
i hope its a fan service match like survivor series SHOULD have been. i mean wtf was that, john cena getting beat up by 2 weaklings for like 20 minutes? even the rock himself couldnt act good enough to make me believe that. john cena could easily beat those pussies in a handicap match, just bad scripting again.
@Pred4tor419 Untalented? Cena has about as much wrestling ability as the Rock. Rock wannabe? Last I checked Cena doesn't have any signature catchphrases aside from the 'You can't see me' and 'the CHAMP is here' type of stuff used here and there. Unskilled? If you paid attention to how wrestling works, you'd see exactly how Cena directs and controls the flow of the matches. Do you honestly think WWE will let the Rock go over the current face of their company? Get real mark.
@ISMASHYOUBRO HE DEFINITELY DOES NOT!! Cena does the same fuckin 5 moves each and every single match, you're fuckin retarded to even state that Cena is even CLOSE to being good as The Rock. wtf are 7 years old? get the fuck out of here with that bullshit... he's been doin THE SAME SHIT for 7 years, if they were smart they'd use Cena's loss at WM as a heel turn.. stfu you dumb ass "mark" I bet you're one of them little ass girl that piss in their onesies everytime you hear his music
'Cena does the same fuckin 5 moves each and every single match,' The peoples elbow, Rock bottom, samoan drop, DDT, spinebuster, sharpshooter - about 6 moves the Rock has. EVERY babyface has a sequence of five moves. You're being a dumbass.
'get the fuck out of here with that bullshit... he's been doin THE SAME SHIT for 7 years,'
He's gotten stale, that's the reason he gets booed. Bad scriptwriters don't diminish his potential. Did you watch his promos from the most recent Raw?
@Pred4tor419 'if they were smart they'd use Cena's loss at WM as a heel turn.. stfu you dumb ass "mark" I bet you're one of them little ass girl that piss in their onesies everytime you hear his music'
You know the irony of this all is the fact that I actually try to look at the bigger picture. I'm almost 20 and have been a fan of for 15 years of my life - ever since the Sting/nWo feud on WCW during the ratings wars. I consider Rock superior to Cena on the mic but I'm not... cont'd
@Pred4tor419 cont'd., I'm not THAT dense where I say that Cena just sucks. He can talk, he can work a match, and he has the charisma, but his gimmick has been just so damn stale, that I can't stomach his promos(until this past Monday). I agree, a Cena heel turn at Mania might be pretty cool, but there's many reasons why they're reluctant to turn him heel. The same guys who boo him right now might end up cheering him(which goes against the purpose of being a heel in the first place).
@ISMASHYOUBRO I hate Cena for legitimate reasons, when I say he sucks it's not just because of his in-ring ability, it's his perspective on The Rock that truly pisses me off, and what he htinks about himself is what pisses me off... his in-ring ability just makes matters worse, and it pisses me of that THAT is the face of WWE
@Pred4tor419 'his in-ring ability just makes matters worse'
His in-ring ability equals the Rocks in ring ability. NEITHER of them were Bret Hart or Kurt Angle but they were showman, who can get the crowd into their matches in some capacity. Cena is no Hogan when it comes to wrasslin'.
'it's his perspective on The Rock that truly pisses me off, and what he htinks about himself is what pisses me off'
What does he think about himself now? His perspective of the Rock is worked now.
@ISMASHYOUBRO John Cena's ability does not equalo The Rock's, you're getting their ability, mixed up with their business statuses... I hate John Cena because he says "The Rock doesn't love the business or his fans, because if he did he would have never left" that's bullshit, so what Cena's tryna tell us is that once you become part of the WWE you become their slave?? you're not aloud to have other goals in life?? FUCK THAT B.S.!!! The Rock doesn't need to be there, he's done it ALL
@ISMASHYOUBRO Cena has so much self-righteousness it's sickening, he says "I love the fans, I love the WWE, so I will NEVER leave" not everyone has the same goals in life as Cena, maybe The Rock really wanted to be an actor all his life... that doesn't mean he doesn't love his wrestling fans... And it's not that Cena doesn't want to leave... he CAN'T leave, if he does what else does he have? Movies? they go straight to DVD, the only movie that hit theatres and lasted was The Marine
@ISMASHYOUBRO And he damn sure can't go back to rapping, his music is good for WWE but outside the business, he wouldn't last a month in the real music business, so if John Cena left the WWE what would he have??? NOTHING... he's not at that status that The Rock is at yet to where he can leave, and his legacy will keep him going, John Cena still has years and years until he's at that level that The Rock is at
@Pred4tor419 Look, I don't disagree with you about what you said about Cena and his attitude. Outside of wrestling I don't think there is much else he can do. But I'm just tired of people bashing Cena for purely baseless reasons. If you hate him for his viewpoint then, that's your sentiment regarding him, but please don't tell me that he can't wrestle, or he just plain sucks. His gimmick is just ass but remember, Hogan was shoved down peoples throats back in the day faaar more.
@Pred4tor419 Every babyface has a sequence of 4-6 moves they do when they try to regain momentum - it's just how the psychology is. Cena can and HAS put on many great matches amidst the many 'superhero comeback' BS finishes we usually see. He HAS it, it's just the way he's booked. He can do a lot in the ring yet he needs to mix it up more consistently. In-ring wise that's about all I can say.
@Pred4tor419 Rock is much better than Cena overall. He clearly exudes way more star power then Cena(remember Survivor Series?) and he left a lasting impression. Cena isn't some talentless hack though, that's the thing. He's talented, just not at the Rocks level as a superstar.
@ISMASHYOUBRO And to say that The Rock is a sellout is just plain reatrded, like I said "The Rock IS NOT a slave to the WWE, he is not a slave to Vince McMahon" yes if it wasnt for the WWE he most likely wouldn't be where he is now, but that doesn't mean that the WWE owns him. so those fans that say hes a sellout, if I had 2 personal goals in life, to Succed in the WWE, and also to be a musician. I complete my first goal in WWE, and then I set out o accomplish the 2nd, that makes me a sell out?!
@Pred4tor419 LOL dude, I know what you're trying to say and I never disagreed about that. Anyone with half a brain knows that Rock isn't a sellout, but that's just the angle they're playing at the moment. Cena and the Rock had beef in years past. That beef laid the groundwork to an angle between them.
@Krillep Fans like you are the reason why people look down on the wrestling community. Watch some of Punks work. He's made the otherwise dull WWE pretty damn interesting again. Actually WWE in recent months has been better than what we've seen in like 5-7 years.
I remember getting goosebumps after watching this moment on ppv and here I am, years later STILL getting goosebumps. something John Cena could NEVER do.
this happened at survivor series everyone cheered the rock when he fired up the crowd at the end but they booed cena and here everyone cheers hogan and when Rock did something they fell silent.
@OneTouch8700 i'd say because he is the definition of pg era and corny as hell ,he is very one denominational in his wrestling and i think most people are just sick of him honestly it would help if maybe he returned turned heel and became a bad guy like he was originally
@kiwipikito I'd say most people dislike him because he's had the same gimmick now for 6 or 7 years. People are just so tired of it. He needs to turn heel and revamp his gimmick. He doesn't need to go back to being the rapper, but he just needs to turn heel and be a real asshole like Triple H was. 90% of the crowd boo him every night, there's absolutely no reason to keep him a face anymore.
@OneTouch8700 Because he seems like a product of McMahon's system. Once upon a time he was a thug which was corny but entertaining, now he is a clean cut all american white bread apple pie guy for the kids...this isnt an after school special, its wrestling and entertainment and he cant do neither. Funny, CM punk promotes straight edge but because he has tattos and not a body builder he really doesnt fit what Vince wants.
@kiwipikito No, it wasn't, and you;re lying when the videos clearly show Hogan getting cheered and Rock getting legit booed during the match, more as it when on. It's not an opinion either - it's a statement of fact.
So,this is what cena antics are bitching about, how Rock is back to pass the torch to cena.
if Rock passed the torch to cena,i will throw 1 water bottle at the rock ,and 1 at vince k mcmahon and then that linda bitch can just forget about My Vote.
OOOPPS, I meant the NWO's IMMORAL STANCE!!!! lol, seriously, how they display sadistic and really nasty...omg I've always viewed them lower than dogs.
It takes a lotta man gutts like these two to show this much level of respect. Surpised not a lot of wrestlers can measure up to this, Truly these two, the Rock and Hulk Hogan are true men of integrity, more people should be like them in the world. Not just in their gimmicks, but also in their character as well. I've always hated NWO because of their moral stance, but hogan and rock are the ones to look up to.
wwe would be stupid to put cena ova rock especially since cena gets mixed reactions in every fucking arena i honestly think wwe is going to make it so rocks wins honestly i think orton vs rock would be a better hype match cause everybody loves the viper
@Turdman12 you know i was thinkking about that too. but the rock was/is actually good. john cena as much as i know he's hard working and probably a good guy, he's nowhere near as talented and entertaining as the rock. but cena worked hard so i guess he deserves the spot. (but wwe needs to stop licking his balls and make the storyline more interesting instead of making him win every match or make him lose with cheating involved)
@Turdman12 god i hope not!The great thing about the Rock is he is still freakin young lol.But yah what a class act on the Rocks part to show respect to the greatest wrestler of all times Hulk Hogan
@Turdman12 i dont think it sucks , think , people would be saying it would suck if rock beat hogan , listen to the crowd , but this may give cena a chance to either turn heel , or evolve his character to become a complete fan favourite
@Turdman12 No, lol, you miss the point of this match entirely. And the rock will still be the rock, it's just comparing the strength of the man who built wrestling and John Cena.
@Turdman12 No, lol, you miss the point of this match entirely. And the rock will still be the rock, it's just comparing the strength of the man who built wrestling and John Cena.
@Turdman12 Not even in the slightest. Everything the rock did was before this match. Not that it'd matter, you clearly don't understand this match at ALL. Cena isn't attitude era Rock, and what Hogan did in this business isn't the rocks in the last 10 years.
@Martygse Actually, I understand perfectly and it seems 32 other people agreed. The Rock and Cena had close to the same number of years under their belt before their respective match. Their ROLES remain similar, for this match. Nowhere did I say they were the same s the other person. Entirely different. Get a clue, learn to read.
@Turdman12 No you clearly don't. What made "Hogan vs Rock" so big was not what you perceive as roles, but all Hulk Hogan was and The Rock. It's absolutely nothing like Rock vs Cena.
@Martygse Yeah, it's a lot like Hogan vs The Rock. I can keep on saying it, and I will if need be. The Rock is now the worldwide icon, and Cena is the top face of the company. You're confusing the LEVEL of every star, in every timeframe here, which is not what the debate is about. I stated The Rock is in the role of Hogan, and he is. Nothing you say changes that, and your personal inability to understand that this will likely continue as people continue to agree with me.
@Martygse While you're at it, you should start explaining to everyone how Cena is not in the role of The Rock here. You're now beginning to argue he's not the top face of the company, and that The Rock isn't a worldwide icon like Hogan clearly was even in 2002. Sounds like you're mad Cena gets ANY credit at all. Ha
@Turdman12 The rock is not in the role of Hulk Hogan. Hogan's history stands alone. The Rock becoming popular means nothing to what/why Hogan was in this match, you seem to misunderstand this match completely. Nor is Cena what The Rock was during the attitude era. Match is completely different, with different roles/people. It is "best of era vs best of era 2" if that's what your getting at, may just our definition of "role" starting this.
@Martygse Ok and that latest post just completely confirmed I was correct. Not a single person did a direct comparison to Hogan as being or not being "the greatest of all time" - it's not being debated at all. Not a single direct comparison between Cena's popularity and The Rock back then, was made. What WAS stated, for the 3rd or 4th time now, was that Cena IS the face of WWE, like The Rock was then. The Rock IS the legend like icon that Hogan was back then. 100% not up for debate.
@Turdman12 Sigh. Your damn right its not, The Rock is not what Hulk Hogan was for this match. Hogans history and "role" stands alone. The Rock was the same legend as he was for this 2002 match. Him becoming more popular doesnt put him in Hogans role, or you don't understand Hogans part in this match. As for Cena, The Rock was completely different and liked "top face". Matchs Era vs Era 2, HUGE, but no one is taking anyone's "role" in this. The Rock is the same, Cena is this new character.
@Turdman12 a liked*, had to edit down grammer to fit. By the way not trying to sound like a dick or rude buddy, just this match we're watching stands alone in history and isn't replicated by the Cena vs Rock one.
@Martygse Never said it was replicating anything, but it's being widely WIDELY discussed in wrestling circles with the IWC, as a mirror image to Rock/Hogan. Rock is in the role of Hogan now, as the legend, Cena the role of Rock as top face. I'm really not changing out the use of the word "role" that is bothering you, because it's being used 100% correctly.
@Turdman12 Lol obviously this match is era vs era 2. Stated that ages ago, how dull do you need to be to try and argue that? With you saying rock is "what hogan was" i thought you meant size of the match wise. Stop trying to cling to the word "ROLE" to save face, you were saying a whole lot more comparing them. And for the post you didn't quote me "trying to look less owned" lmao are you 14 weak attempt at insulting. Being polite. If anyone's arguing semantics its the word ROLE like that.
@Martygse Except the fact you completely misunderstood what I meant by "role" is why the argument began in the first place. Your first post argued I didn't understand the match. I did, it's not up for debate, and everyone loves my comment.
@Turdman12 Lol not at all, read my first post. You wouldn't of "understood" the match if thought so size-of-the-match wise (can see why i would strongly disagree), or what i indeed misinterpreted your comment to be. Comments like "rock was what hogan was"...easy to perceive, not just about "role". And "everyone loves my comment" and all you keep saying about those thumbs up LOL just sad...like it means your finally accepted now. Congrats on stating the obvious "roles".
@Turdman1 Lol comment could of meant 2 things, one dead obvious and one i'm right on. Now that horse is dead, instead of making out let's eat it for that overeem-quality protein.
You know what watching the demise of the ultimate warrior and then watching this match. Two polar opposites when it came to UW appreciating the business compared to the Rock, This match was ten times better then WM 6..
U know it's been ten years since this match. Now we're comin up on wrestlemania 28 it's almost poetic that ten yrs later it's a another match up like this with two generations colliding
@nipo10847 hulk hogan was just like cena really when u realise it though the the rock dies still give gud respect to the face of the business back then
at 10:24 hogan raises rocks hand and rock is visably upset and shaking his head,WHY?????? because he couldnt believe how much the god and icon of wrestling STILL takes the fans to another level of our universe!!!!!!!!!
rock wins and the arena is stone cold QUIET because they wanted to win.its all about the fans that puts the fucking billions in the devil, vince's hand.hogan was the best ever in getting the crowd in his favor, thereforhe is the greatest by far from any wrestler, its not about a few douchbag attitude fan teenagers, its about what the world roots for in a match
quiet? didnt you saw the crowd going wild? did hogan stuck his dick so far up you ass you cant accept fact even in front of you the crowd went with hogan during the match but everysingle person there was a rock mark as well they just showed respect to hogan and they gave it to rock at the end.
i respect hogan for what he did always will but ROCK will always be my favorite,oh and btw attitude era shits on hogans time sorry
@sl3ya44 THey booed every move he made.Hogan was the favorite by 10 to 1 schmuck!.His hulking ending is the greatest finish to a ewrestling match in HISTORY!not the stupid boring stunner or the common boring peoples elbow when Bob Backlund did a move like that 30 yrs ago.
@marie90 YOU SCHMUCK! HE JOBBED OUT TO EVERYONE EXCEPT FOR WINNING THE TITLE VS TRIPLE H.THATS ALL HE DID WAS JOB OUT,YOU'RE A FRIGGIN DOUCHBAG!WITH THIS CROWD IN THIS FRENZY LIKE NOTHING ELSE ROCK OR AUSTIN COULD EVEN COME CLOSE TO, ROCK SHOULD HAVE JOBBED THIS OUT TO HOGAN,THEN HOGAN COULD RETURN THE JOB FAVOR.
@fadethetrade "I TYPE IN ALL CAPS TO GET MY ASNINE POINT ACROSS!!!1!!!!11!!1!"
If hogan is so good then tell me why hasnt tna ratings gave the wwe a run for its money? I mean the company has hogan who in your book is "ZOMG DA GREATEST!1!1!!1" Yet him joining the company hasnt done anything for them, while when the rock returned this year wwe's rating skyrocketed, case in point no one cares about hogan and his damn leg drop these days. Brother.
@marie90 It's not the leg drop,it's the hulking up into the finale.his finale builds up to a frenzied point. This is what made him special. It's longer and a more exciting finish then any other finishing gimmick incl. the stunner!.This is what makes hogan an institution .He is his own federation.TNA is just another dabble with this business. He doesn't have to compete with WWE.He s his own federation and its his world when he's out there. No one competes. You don't have any conception to this.
@marie90 at 10:24 hogan raises rocks hand and rock is visably upset and shaking his head,WHY?????? because he couldnt believe how much the god and icon of wrestling STILL takes the fans to another level of our universe!!!!!!!!!
@Mybella19 The Rock paid respect to Hogan. You're saying the crowd should still boo him? What's wrong with you? That's the crowd showing respect to the Rock.
The place SHOULD have erupted, who can blame Rock leaving after this???? fucking idiots the only good thing to come out of this was heel Rock in 2003 which was legendary!
Handshake should've led to The Rock joining NWO. Try killing a gimmick with Hogan and Rocky behind it. I'd be wearing the black and white to this day.
Man WWE please just give WM28 to the Rock. Just give us what we want one last time because we all know CENA will come running down the ring once again week in and week out but we won't get to see the Rock after this..
@xDuckFan707x cena has been passed the torch enough and the crowd have never fully taken to him. hes been pushed by michaels, HHH etc already. and besides if he beats rock in miami there will be a riot
@QCDeViLMaN666QC Because the fans turned Rock heel and we never would have had his great heel entrance without the turn. The fans in Canada have always rooted for their "own" guy rather than what the WWF/WWE hopes they will back... which I've always respected them for. Hogan was their guy this night for all he's done for the business. It was his swan song match and probably the best WM match of the decade.
@DreadWizardDM Exactly right, after all these years The Rock was the only guy that Hogan felt was the right man to pass it too, they should never have had the no way out match, like the Warrior match, their should only have ever been one match
@Moss235 Hulk needed the money. Thats the reason why most athletes continue well into their 40's. He still had juice as a Personality and u wouldnt want to put the Hulk with the Edge's and Miz's of the day. A bout with Rock was the only way to go.
@Zainillaice I cannot stand Cena, Oh Im sure he is probably a decent enough guy in person, but he is BAD for wrestling. As long as Cena exists there will always be a stupid PG kiddie show. I seriously hope the Rock beats him severely at WM28.
I think who says they will stop watching wwe is quite good since wwe will have less immature retarded hypocrite kids with no arguments.

What does he think about himself now? His perspective of the Rock is worked now.
ISMASHYOUBRO 3 hours ago
@ISMASHYOUBRO John Cena's ability does not equalo The Rock's, you're getting their ability, mixed up with their business statuses... I hate John Cena because he says "The Rock doesn't love the business or his fans, because if he did he would have never left" that's bullshit, so what Cena's tryna tell us is that once you become part of the WWE you become their slave?? you're not aloud to have other goals in life?? FUCK THAT B.S.!!! The Rock doesn't need to be there, he's done it ALL
Pred4tor419 2 hours ago
@ISMASHYOUBRO Cena has so much self-righteousness it's sickening, he says "I love the fans, I love the WWE, so I will NEVER leave" not everyone has the same goals in life as Cena, maybe The Rock really wanted to be an actor all his life... that doesn't mean he doesn't love his wrestling fans... And it's not that Cena doesn't want to leave... he CAN'T leave, if he does what else does he have? Movies? they go straight to DVD, the only movie that hit theatres and lasted was The Marine
Pred4tor419 2 hours ago
@ISMASHYOUBRO And he damn sure can't go back to rapping, his music is good for WWE but outside the business, he wouldn't last a month in the real music business, so if John Cena left the WWE what would he have??? NOTHING... he's not at that status that The Rock is at yet to where he can leave, and his legacy will keep him going, John Cena still has years and years until he's at that level that The Rock is at
Pred4tor419 2 hours ago
@Pred4tor419 Look, I don't disagree with you about what you said about Cena and his attitude. Outside of wrestling I don't think there is much else he can do. But I'm just tired of people bashing Cena for purely baseless reasons. If you hate him for his viewpoint then, that's your sentiment regarding him, but please don't tell me that he can't wrestle, or he just plain sucks. His gimmick is just ass but remember, Hogan was shoved down peoples throats back in the day faaar more.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 hours ago
@Pred4tor419 Every babyface has a sequence of 4-6 moves they do when they try to regain momentum - it's just how the psychology is. Cena can and HAS put on many great matches amidst the many 'superhero comeback' BS finishes we usually see. He HAS it, it's just the way he's booked. He can do a lot in the ring yet he needs to mix it up more consistently. In-ring wise that's about all I can say.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 hours ago
@Pred4tor419 Rock is much better than Cena overall. He clearly exudes way more star power then Cena(remember Survivor Series?) and he left a lasting impression. Cena isn't some talentless hack though, that's the thing. He's talented, just not at the Rocks level as a superstar.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 hours ago
@ISMASHYOUBRO And to say that The Rock is a sellout is just plain reatrded, like I said "The Rock IS NOT a slave to the WWE, he is not a slave to Vince McMahon" yes if it wasnt for the WWE he most likely wouldn't be where he is now, but that doesn't mean that the WWE owns him. so those fans that say hes a sellout, if I had 2 personal goals in life, to Succed in the WWE, and also to be a musician. I complete my first goal in WWE, and then I set out o accomplish the 2nd, that makes me a sell out?!
Pred4tor419 2 hours ago
@Pred4tor419 LOL dude, I know what you're trying to say and I never disagreed about that. Anyone with half a brain knows that Rock isn't a sellout, but that's just the angle they're playing at the moment. Cena and the Rock had beef in years past. That beef laid the groundwork to an angle between them.

@Krillep Fans like you are the reason why people look down on the wrestling community. Watch some of Punks work. He's made the otherwise dull WWE pretty damn interesting again. Actually WWE in recent months has been better than what we've seen in like 5-7 years.

kiwipikito 3 months ago
@kiwipikito I'd say more like 99% Rock and the rest Cena, not many people like him these days and I don't really know why?
OneTouch8700 3 months ago
@OneTouch8700 i'd say because he is the definition of pg era and corny as hell ,he is very one denominational in his wrestling and i think most people are just sick of him honestly it would help if maybe he returned turned heel and became a bad guy like he was originally
kiwipikito 3 months ago
@kiwipikito I'd say most people dislike him because he's had the same gimmick now for 6 or 7 years. People are just so tired of it. He needs to turn heel and revamp his gimmick. He doesn't need to go back to being the rapper, but he just needs to turn heel and be a real asshole like Triple H was. 90% of the crowd boo him every night, there's absolutely no reason to keep him a face anymore.
NoInnerKind 2 months ago
@OneTouch8700 Because he seems like a product of McMahon's system. Once upon a time he was a thug which was corny but entertaining, now he is a clean cut all american white bread apple pie guy for the kids...this isnt an after school special, its wrestling and entertainment and he cant do neither. Funny, CM punk promotes straight edge but because he has tattos and not a body builder he really doesnt fit what Vince wants.
freddy333ful 2 months ago
@kiwipikito No, it wasn't, and you;re lying when the videos clearly show Hogan getting cheered and Rock getting legit booed during the match, more as it when on. It's not an opinion either - it's a statement of fact.

Martygse 1 month ago
@Turdman12 No....they can't. Not when the WWE fans hate Cena. The Rock wasn't "hated" here..he was simply over cheered because of Hogan's greatness.
ISetYourFaceOnFire 2 weeks ago
@Turdman12 Not even in the slightest. Everything the rock did was before this match. Not that it'd matter, you clearly don't understand this match at ALL. Cena isn't attitude era Rock, and what Hogan did in this business isn't the rocks in the last 10 years.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Martygse Actually, I understand perfectly and it seems 32 other people agreed. The Rock and Cena had close to the same number of years under their belt before their respective match. Their ROLES remain similar, for this match. Nowhere did I say they were the same s the other person. Entirely different. Get a clue, learn to read.
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Turdman12 No you clearly don't. What made "Hogan vs Rock" so big was not what you perceive as roles, but all Hulk Hogan was and The Rock. It's absolutely nothing like Rock vs Cena.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Martygse Yeah, it's a lot like Hogan vs The Rock. I can keep on saying it, and I will if need be. The Rock is now the worldwide icon, and Cena is the top face of the company. You're confusing the LEVEL of every star, in every timeframe here, which is not what the debate is about. I stated The Rock is in the role of Hogan, and he is. Nothing you say changes that, and your personal inability to understand that this will likely continue as people continue to agree with me.
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Martygse While you're at it, you should start explaining to everyone how Cena is not in the role of The Rock here. You're now beginning to argue he's not the top face of the company, and that The Rock isn't a worldwide icon like Hogan clearly was even in 2002. Sounds like you're mad Cena gets ANY credit at all. Ha
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Turdman12 The rock is not in the role of Hulk Hogan. Hogan's history stands alone. The Rock becoming popular means nothing to what/why Hogan was in this match, you seem to misunderstand this match completely. Nor is Cena what The Rock was during the attitude era. Match is completely different, with different roles/people. It is "best of era vs best of era 2" if that's what your getting at, may just our definition of "role" starting this.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Martygse Ok and that latest post just completely confirmed I was correct. Not a single person did a direct comparison to Hogan as being or not being "the greatest of all time" - it's not being debated at all. Not a single direct comparison between Cena's popularity and The Rock back then, was made. What WAS stated, for the 3rd or 4th time now, was that Cena IS the face of WWE, like The Rock was then. The Rock IS the legend like icon that Hogan was back then. 100% not up for debate.
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Turdman12 Sigh. Your damn right its not, The Rock is not what Hulk Hogan was for this match. Hogans history and "role" stands alone. The Rock was the same legend as he was for this 2002 match. Him becoming more popular doesnt put him in Hogans role, or you don't understand Hogans part in this match. As for Cena, The Rock was completely different and liked "top face". Matchs Era vs Era 2, HUGE, but no one is taking anyone's "role" in this. The Rock is the same, Cena is this new character.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Turdman12 a liked*, had to edit down grammer to fit. By the way not trying to sound like a dick or rude buddy, just this match we're watching stands alone in history and isn't replicated by the Cena vs Rock one.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Martygse Never said it was replicating anything, but it's being widely WIDELY discussed in wrestling circles with the IWC, as a mirror image to Rock/Hogan. Rock is in the role of Hogan now, as the legend, Cena the role of Rock as top face. I'm really not changing out the use of the word "role" that is bothering you, because it's being used 100% correctly.
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Turdman12 Lol obviously this match is era vs era 2. Stated that ages ago, how dull do you need to be to try and argue that? With you saying rock is "what hogan was" i thought you meant size of the match wise. Stop trying to cling to the word "ROLE" to save face, you were saying a whole lot more comparing them. And for the post you didn't quote me "trying to look less owned" lmao are you 14 weak attempt at insulting. Being polite. If anyone's arguing semantics its the word ROLE like that.
Martygse 1 week ago
@Martygse Except the fact you completely misunderstood what I meant by "role" is why the argument began in the first place. Your first post argued I didn't understand the match. I did, it's not up for debate, and everyone loves my comment.
Turdman12 1 week ago
@Turdman12 Lol not at all, read my first post. You wouldn't of "understood" the match if thought so size-of-the-match wise (can see why i would strongly disagree), or what i indeed misinterpreted your comment to be. Comments like "rock was what hogan was"...easy to perceive, not just about "role". And "everyone loves my comment" and all you keep saying about those thumbs up LOL just sad...like it means your finally accepted now. Congrats on stating the obvious "roles".

marie90 4 months ago
@marie90 It's not the leg drop,it's the hulking up into the finale.his finale builds up to a frenzied point. This is what made him special. It's longer and a more exciting finish then any other finishing gimmick incl. the stunner!.This is what makes hogan an institution .He is his own federation.TNA is just another dabble with this business. He doesn't have to compete with WWE.He s his own federation and its his world when he's out there. No one competes. You don't have any conception to this.
