  • quick way to read a peom thanks man great voice keep it up

  • Hey, SpokenVerse do you have a website where I can download your readings? Because you are very good! In fact, you're so good that I stopped listening to everyone else's interpretations because they sound so sub-par compared to yours! Again... Your good! Splendid reading!

  • @FranticFlames You can use a search engine to find a "YouTube converter" which will download the video or convert it into an mp3 file - or whatever your preferred format may be.. There are quite a few free programs available.

Thanks for listening and for your kind words, sincerely, Tom.

  • my favorite poem; I composed instrumental piece based off of this; I also love reciting it; I think I've figured out I good way to recite it to correctly represent the text and repetitions of the poem

  • the music piece for this poem is on my channel if you ever would like to hear it

  • Your voice was perfect for the Iron bells.

  • meh if u read it rite u actually hear bells :/

  • this never gets old :)

  • my teacher showed me this

  • this sent chills down my spine

also it really reminds me of how the vortigaunts speak in half life 2 :P

  • Thank you! My students will love hearing this rendition. Your voice follows the changes in mood and meaning and helps the listener understand each type of belling occasion. Your bells, bells, bells are reverberating in my ears. Bravo!

  • Haunting. :)

  • this guy is amazing!

  • i memorized this this already we were supposed to memorized this for our English contest i was the first one who memorized this in our class.

  • I dont even like poetry that much but i like this one alot, and the speaker

  • Young friend, i must admit, this was an absolutely amazing interpretation of my works! If you allow to introduce myself: my Name is Poe. Edgar Allen Poe. I was reincarnated several weeks ago and found myself in ... Germany. So i present my readings mostly in german now. The reader of another poem "inspired" me to do some original readings too, but this one i did not dare to record yet. I couldn´t have found a better voice for my poem than yours!

    Impressed greetings Yours

    Edgar Allen Poe

  • we sing dis in chorus

  • very good...very good...

  • this is our project!T^T

  • Very well done. You have a marvelous sonorous voice and your way of reading it is very satisfying.

  • I love your handling of the repetition. Have you thought of doing Poe's Ulalume?

  • This Edgar can write a poem about anything hu?

  • Oh my. That was absolutely breath-taking. This is one of my favorite Poe poems, first hearing it in the 8th grade. Listening to this reading, I got chills all over. I've tried reading this in front of classes with little success in the emotion needed. Wonderful voice, my good sir.

  • wow i got to do like the same thing i think

    like in a few days

i like have to recite the poem

but im only like in 7th grade

  • not like i have to recite the whole thing though

  • @fhs31053 Be happy, I had to recite The Raven from beginng to end

    XP

  • @fhs31053 Im in 7th grade and i have to recite The Raven

  • This is the best reading I've heard of The Bells by Poe. The voice is just right for the content of the poem, and this recording really reflects the rhythm and smoothness of the poem itself. Great job!

  • великолепно!

  • I liked it! 5 starts :)!

  • Thank you for this impressive reading of a most uncanny poem.

  • "Gee I don't think I want to hear bells bells bells for a long time after that one" So well read!

  • I was hoping you would cover this; it may well be my favourite Poe poem.

I agree it's a difficult poem to read. For my part, I mentally hear it as headlong rush, words tumbling breathlessly over each other, anxious to get out. Gaining speed, racing, the final refrain builds to a near-shout - "the bells bells bells bellsbellsbells BELLS! To the MOANING and the GROANING of the BELLS!"

It's a pleasure to hear your different (and lovely) interpretation. Thank you very much.
