@evilmuscle Thanks! The body is just for looks. This one sits on the shelf. Recent upgrades are carbon fiber chassis, rear shock tower, rear brace and upper chassis. All hand cut.

Dude that's badass i got this link off a website. That's a hobby. I'm tying to figure out what led lights to use on my revo for headlights. And where to wire them to to make them work. Any ideas?

@TonyYfz450 Sorry for the 7 month reply: Which website? On the Revo I used 5mm LEDs and ran the wires down the cent of the body. You can hot glue the wires or use tape. Tape doesn't like dirt though and will come off eventually, but the glue has been holding out for me so far. Thanks for the comment!

where do you get your lights?

@MrGrider7 ebay...just do a search for RC LED lights and you will find plenty of options. Also if you are close to a Radio Shack...they have a selection too. I think they even sell the cannisters for the headlights and tail lights.

I'm doing a same scheme as you but on a pickup for my Maxx! I was searching for what people used as lightbars and ran into your thread.. Is that one of those bycicle reflectors you are using as a light bar?? i am going to use your idea :D it is the closest thing i have found to fit on a maxx, everything else is too small :(

Yes it is a bicycle reflector. I picked up 3 of them for $1.50 at a bike shop. Good luck with your project.  Post a vid!

I bought the Traxxas Nitro 4 Tec from Tower Hobbies. Same with the Mustange body. Lights and controller...somewhere in Japan. Designed the decals myself and had a T-Shirt/Sign shop make them into stickers. Took a while, long project.

hmmm The white LEDs take up too much of the red and blues. Check out mine. I used red and blue LEDs for the moment

The led layout I used is from an actual Whelen LED police lightbar used on PD crusiers. There are white alley lights on both ends and two white takedown lights in the middle. These lights can be used individually or in sequence to the red and blue.
