Well there's two reasons people don't play the actual song in the video:

1) A lot of us don't have the necessary equipment to pipe the audio directly into the PC.

2) YouTube can be kind of a dick, and having a mostly unaltered mp3 of the song playing (save for the fills) is a quick way to get your video pulled. Some guys are lucky, but some aren't.

battery: depends on how long youve been on expert drums. but dont forget its part of the main setlist, and dlc has gotten much harder since then.

painkiller: the solo at the beginning might be a little hard for some, but after that, your just playing the same t-t-t-ta-t-t-t-ta over and over again.

byob: i did say its hard. only because of the blasts midway, and near the end of the song (Where the ___ are you!!)

Panic attack is only easy enough if you can play with two foot. If you use one, the double bass riffs are painful, and the red/blue segment is a tangle. If they charted it single bass and made the tangle riff (G,B,B,R,B,B,G) or (Y,R,B,Y,B,R,Y) instead of (R,B,B,R,B,B,R), then it would be easier.

The same issue blatantly applies if you see the drummer playing the cymbals and snare in Foreplay (before Long Time). That charting should be (G,Y,Y,R,Y,Y,G) instead if (G,R,R,B,R,R,G).

And, since I just ran out of room, another way to make Panic Attack easier in the tangle riff if kept (R,B,B,R,B,B,R) would be then to chart the double bass corresponding to the arm or vice versa (the former in GH:WT's chart for the song Assassin).

Yes, but Foreplay/Long Time is not realistic (even though an FC is). if you watch a directly captured video, you'll notice the drummer is following an RLRLRLR pattern, not a RLLRLLR. The combination of arm and leg movement in the red/blue riff of Panic attack may be similar.

Also, I did download Cuz U R Next, and it is an interesting chart, although I have yet to pass it. I've almost got Gold Star on Painkiller, so it's not that hard. I'm also close to Gold Stars on Blackened.

I think RLRLRLR sounds harder than RLLRLLR if your talking about the beginning part. im not sure why they would do that. i managed to pass cuz u r next on expert with only one pedal, but im no where near gold stars. i havent tried for gs on painkiller or blackened yet.

@HunterBernstein As of now I have easily 5-starred Panic Attack and I have managed to get 5 stars on Visions. I still occasionally fall into the red on the afformentioned BYOB though.

The real problem with BYOB is that the tempo changes within the alternating blasts.

Technically the typical player should have enough overdrive to get by with just the yellow notes and foot pedals, which is probably an only reason Harmonix tiered it at the beginning of Impossible tier (That and the comparison of Hard drums to the rest of the songs, so it probably averages out).

Meanwhile, Prequel to the Sequel is especially undertiered since those blasts last for too long to rely on even a full overdrive meter. It should be tiered higher than Panic Attack.

I think all the main setlist song including panic attack are way over tiered. I mean, many nightmare songs are probably harder than panic attack.

I am a drummer and playing RB is actually quite close to the real thing, it improves rythym and the like. Guitar on the other hand, you can FC every song in the setlist and still not be able to play a note on real guitar.

To LethalGeneral: Well, I have played both kits and the GHWT is closer to the real thing then the standerd RB drum kit, but if you wan't to get as close as you can get, I would have to say the ION drum kit. It is spaced out more and has cymbals that actually look sorta realistic so it is pretty good, bit of a pain on the wallet though.

Please point out where exactly it says you can play instruments well if you play Rock Band. It doesn't. Some people think that, but they're just idiots. Most people (including the best players like noods) know that a real instrument is harder.
