Actually the tubes on the chrono dials aren't tritium tubes at all but normal glow in the dark paint, unlike the visible tubes on the sides and the hands, i've try to experiment with my 3081 B.O when the hands on the chrono dials did not lit up at all except for the t.tubes so took the watch to a bright light source and tested in a dark room and every thing glows.
Thanks for this video, it's very helpful. I've heard that the bo series has dimmer tritium tubes. I really hope this isn't the case because this watch would be a perfect match for me but tritium already has a half life of 12 years so the less tritium used in the beginning that much more dim it will be later. Can your confirm this?
@CountShop I've since done quite a bit more research on tritium and watches in general. Most watches use T25 tubes (a reference to how much tritium is actually being used) while some use T100. Luminox uses T25 but I haven't done an in person comparison of T25 and T100 so I can't say how much you'd be missing out on with this watch. I did own this watch for a few days and returned it because the lume on the chronograph and second hands is Terribe at best. Excellent watch otherwise.
Been wondering, is the 3081 Blackout model the only one out of the 3080 series that has tritium tubes on the chrono hands? The 3080 series chronos with colored dials don't seem to have them.
@CountShop The tubes on the sub dials are not as vivid as the vidieo indicates. I just got mine today and one of the first things I did was check it out in the dark...
The long hand across the dial face looks like it may be the second hand, but it's not. It's actually the chronograph hand. The seconds are being counted in the inner sub-dial (top right) and you can see the hand ticking there.

According to Luminox's website. The illumination period is 25 years, same as the other models.

Yes; 3081 Black out is the only model that has the tritium tubes on the sub-dials. The other models just have a regular chrono hands.
