hmmmm, i see many comments saying how well the audi did to keep with the 997s? i just saw the audi falling futher and futher behind untill the 997s slowed down then as with all vids when a car fails it shoots past it.

@MrCosmin94 Well yeah......considering the power to weight ratios. The Porsche is lighter in weight..or at least ist suppose to be. And the Audi is a 4 door saloon, with all wheel drive...i think...

At least the race was not a total embarrasment. Total embarrasment would be if your opponent ran slap out of sight with YOU having 420 HP. As if you were sitting still.

wrong. Carrera S makes 380 hp. Also weighs 500lbs less than the Audi. So yes, the RS4 did well to be within a couple of car lengths.

This is a Porsche, it'S designed to be a sports car, the rs is a tuned family car, it isn't built to be as fast as a porsche... Thr 3,6l Boxer Engine has more Power than the V8... So shut the fuck up!

But see, it's slower, it sounds like shit and although it has more horsepower it hasn't got that accelleration.. By the way, the Porsche need fewer Fuel! I drove a Porsche 911 4s 997 in 2008, and it has a much better handling, aerodynamics and it sounds better than an Audi... Because the have knowhow since almost 80 years, and they know what's REALLY important. Not Only Horsepower, but a lot of other things!

@sakimano you should read my comment again, its a pre-facelift 997 and the pre facelift 997 Carrera S has 355bhp, the facelift Carrera S has 385bhp, not 380bhp, but thats not the one in this video.

RS4 was getting starting to get a gain in the higher speeds. But to 240ish the porsche pulled away a few lengths. I guess the weight and the less Aerodynamic body let the Audi down.

I still prefer the high revving 8k V8 engine of the Audi though!

thas probly a tubed porche coz thats the gap the m3 gives to the rs4 and the m3 gives the same gape to the porche soo how can that be .

it was 1 maybe 2 car lengths.  The 911 has 380 hp but weighs 500 lbs less. You yourself in the video said it was quite equal. Stop being such a db.
