Bah! The "increase" of the numbers of babies born w/ ds may be more directly linked to the increase of the information age, & that more cases are reported / documented. My family was very large. My grandmother had 11 children. I had a girl at 42. My grandmother was 42 when she had my mother, & had 6 more children beyond that. No ds in our family history. However, my grandson has ds. My daughter had him at the age of 29. He is the best!!! We Love Him Dearly!

I have a four year old with down syndrome and I wouldnt have him any other way. He gives us great joy and has a wonderful happiness and lovingness about him. Love him to pieces. Couldnt imagine life without him.

The claim that autism is caused by vaccination was originally put forward by a scientist. Their research has since been refuted by other scientists. The opinion amongst trained scientists is now unamnimous on this pont and even the Daily Mail tabloid, who long pushed this (now discredited) claim of a link, now recognise that it was a mistake.
