Good response, even if it was a hair...colorful. Sure Bruce knew the fancy moves but he was a true Martial Artist, fancy moves didn't matter, he was connected on a physical, mental, and spiritual level, and that's what made him so good, he understood what Martial Arts are truely about.

jet li was a national champion in wu shu by the time he was 17. He is an excellent REAL martial artist. Bruce Lee's movies were very american and lacked much influence of Hong Kong cinema. Also, while all american movies (including Bruce Lee's) have staged fighting, many hong kong movies allow the fighters to freelance a great deal making the fights much more spontaneous and therefore more realistic.

Was he AS good as he is in the movies? Of course, not. Who is? But that doesn't mean he wasn't very good, and was light years ahead of the martial artists of his time, and his thinking is still ahead of the martial artists of today. If you research his life, not just watch his movies, you will soon learn that he is actually the father of MMA, as even Dana White gives him credit for.

But what if Jackie Chan, Jet Li, or even Tony Jaa hit the movie scene first? Bruce Lee would be just another martial arts actor with philosophies. Be honest, in his movies, people do not cringe like that when you get hit, no mattter how hard, you just get knocked the fucc out and fall. Put him against a highly trained fighter, Cro-Cop, Fedor, Even those top Muay Thai fighters, who train to fight 8 hrs a day. Put him in a ring against a Buakaw.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Go do some research. People would randomly challenge Bruce Lee on the streets, he would get in REAL fights. In fact, Bolo Yeung from Enter the Dragon challenged him on the set of the movie. There are VERY few videos of him in real fights, but they exist.
