His technique seemed so much more graceful and fluent with the Wilson racquet. Obviously he's a better player now, but his style just seemed so much more aesthetically pleasing back then, more Federer-like. Can anybody explain this? This is most noticeable on his forehand.

@9Simmo Noticed it as well. He had better form in 2007/2008 than in 2009/2010. It seems like in 2009/2010 he had less control over his swing path resulting in an awkward backswing and follow through, especially on the forehand. His serve was also really rusty and stiff. Almost looked like he couldn't handle the racket or something, although he was still playing awesome tennis. Could also be the paint job of the racket. I think his form has become better again this year.
