Vincent van Gogh is a great artist, and this is a beautiful tribute to his genius! I found a recording of Van Gogh's actual voice, you can find it on my user page.
To be able to see the world like this and capture it on canvas like Van Gogh, and many others through history would seem to be a blessing, however, society seems to turn against beauty and to kill anyone would bring beauty into our lives. How sad.
When i look at these masterful works of art, i cannot but help think about the tormented mind that lived behind such perceptive and soulful eyes. An artist and a mystic and very human indeed was Vincent.
Six magnifiques volumes... On en sort attendri, impressionné, fasciné... Immense culture, volonté admirable, merveilleuses humanité, humilité, sincérité. On en sort grandi.
some of the works I was unfamiliar with to but then I forget what a huge volume of work he actually put forth in his short time on earth.... over 800 paintings not to mention his drawings and watercolors... thank you so much
It's such a sadness that this man's work was never praised in his time, and all the grief he wen through in life. Mother treating him like a curse, every woman he's ever pursued left or rejected him, and his brother Theodorus was the only one who showed support even when Vincent's depression and suicide settled. He did not have the spotlight and fortune he deserved until afterward. I can't help but feel pity for the man. ):

I hadn't realized how prolific Vincent Van Gogh was. He must have studied Renior, Monet, and Degas and fused them together to create his own style of Impressionism. It's perfectly delightful to see these paintings in one sitting. Thanks for posting and for the music also.
vida verdade,tanto amor não cabe é maior,saudações a vc gde mestre ,que me ilumina a cada manhã,viva o amor ,a sinceridade,e o trabalho,tanto q se a vida é luz,Van Gogh é o sol
From the grains in the field to the people he painted Van Goph captured them in the strokes of his brush for an eternity. They have all but faded and been forgotten as living souls but when we look upon these paintings we know that once, many years ago there lived a nameless man playing pool, a lone farmer walking through his corn and beauty in all forms throughout his work. Van Goph himself has left this celestial world, but his art leaves imprints on our souls and will for as long as man lives
thanks for this video, van gogh is my favourite artist i studied art in school didnt do anything since but definitely gonna take it up again..............cheers!!
@88hanimart88 The fact that he was thwarted from walking that road was the very reason he was able to paint as he did. This world was never meant for one as beautiful as Vincent.
!FELICITACIONES!
when i was 5 or 6 years old i would see his pictures and would ask me mammy who done that? there's something so beautifull about them, dream like, alive. now my child ask's me about them, and she see's it too. They relax your mind .I DON'T think he was mad...amazing yes.
The paintings of van Gogh celebrating life and world, and people with every color and every stroke. Love it. And love your video, its delightful!!! Thank you so much.
i have the movie Vincent & Theo i ve watched it over&over its such a heartbreaking tradegy it seemed like all he really wanted was to be loved and excepted and all his genis
It's so sad that Vincent never achieved any recognition for his talent during his lifetime, he could paint in so many styles, a true genius, dead at 37 what a loss, how many great works were never painted just as Mozart who died at a similar age, so much great music unwritten! Perhaps some people have too much talent, maybe?
Great video!! Thanks soooo much!!! I thought, I had seen all of his work, but you got pieces I never knew existed. Thanks for sharing! Love this video!
I love his work, he's one of my favourite artists. I've seen some of his (original) paintings in Paris. They're outstanding, it's really a different experience in watching them in a book and watching them in real =))
every time a see his work I feel its a shame that we lost him so young to death, if he lived until 80 at this production rate we might have had a greater tresure and understanding of art. This is alot of work for a man who painted only 9 years

Yes, it is very special to live in the neighbourhood of the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh.
It is so close....
In fact I went often with my bike through the paintings. The landscapes. And there are people living here with faces I recognise from the paintings.
That feels so close as if Vincent is a brother, or a neighbour.
A good friend.
Someone I knew.
Know.
I recognise some impressions from the sphere here in Netherlands, but also from him.

Also the museum with his paintings brought him so close. It is absolutely an unforgettable moment to be in front of them, be able to touch them. See the paint. The colours. The brushstrokes.
Feel the strong attraction of them. He lives in his paintings. His soul is in it.
He prints his inbeing in you.
