  • TO MJMWebstudios - This does not tickle...at least in my experience. I have gotten two sessions with it so far and it bruises almost immediately. If it tickles, I would assume it's not being broken up enough. I have been laying on the table and sweating profusely while gripping anything I can. Physical therapy should never really be painless...

  • I have had 2 treatments on my arms. Due to photography and countless hours editing on a comuter I have had 8 surgeries on my hands....carpal tunnel on both and 3 trigger finger releases on each hand. A ton of scar tissue build up. It smarts a bit but well worth it. In just 2 treatments I can feel a world of difference, plus adding the stretches I was taught I feel 150% better!

  • total bs

  • cheap rolfing rip off

  • This is part of TCM called Gua Sha, who the hell is Graston anyway.... nothing new, good grief.

I'm Vietnamese and we've been doing this for thousands of years already.

  • looks similar to Gua Sha, what are the differences?

  • @Aleiah Both treatments induce the body's inflammatory response. Graston breaks up adhesions and scar tissue in the muscle, or in this case tendon, while guasha does so on a more superficial basis. The idea behond guasha is a realignment of the body's chi as well.

  • i had arthroscopic shoulder surgery 5 months ago and sometimes i feel a tingling pain on the shoulder when i move it, is that a scar tissue and does the graston remove the inside scar tissue?

  • I hear I can use this Graston Technique for treat my costochondritis sindrom ?

    Its real ?

  • I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you if Graston is right for you, and I certainly don't personally know of anyone in Romania where you are is certified in it, but the technique itself IS real and is very helpful for a myriad of physical issues. Search for the Graston homepage (can't post links in here) and they may have a list of certified users. Perhaps you can find someone in your country and ask them about your condition.

  • Obviously another quack. He can't even spell the iliotibial band correctly.

  • Yes, obviously Dr. Wasserkrug made the video since it's on a channel called "MJMWebstudios". No way could it be that someone not associated with the medical field, like . . . me maybe, made an honest spelling error.

If you are going to judge people make sure you are judging the right person for the right reasons. Dr. Wasserkrug is a good man who tries to help people and even if he had made that mistake, which he didn't, to dismiss someone's entire career based on a spelling error is unfair.

  • @okjhum good one tool

  • Seems very like Gua Sha to me.

  • What is he saying at 0:52, it sounds like "vomit" but that doesn't make sense. Does anyone know of any practitioners in Hampshire UK?

  • I think he's saying "involvement."

  • OOOOOUUUUUUCHHH!

  • Actually it just tickles mostly, from what I've heard.

  • @MJMWebStudios It doesn't tickle....its breaking up sub-cutaneous scar tissue to help speed up the bodies ability to heal that specific area....broken up scar tissue is easier to remove than whole scar tissue...If you've ever seen someone's shoulder or ITB after using Graston, its usually red, bruised and quite tender. And they certainly aren't laughing because of it haha

  • Do you honestly think that a triathlete or marathon runner with illiotibial band syndrome would be better off having an upper cervical adjustment before his twenty mile training run than a soft tissue treatment? Relaxing gel? Obviously you never have has a Graston treatment. It can be very painful. But it is very effective.

  • kobidobidogh, you are exactly the type of person who makes our profession look bad. You probably went to Palmer if you are a DC. And you probably still believe in the garden hose theory. Read some research articles, real research articles and try to open your mind up to beyond C1 and C2.

  • C1 is the SECOND most important focal point when adjusting the body, the FIRST is the MIND. If you have a negative attitude towards everything, you will never get well, no matter how good your AO adjustment was. You are always ranting and raging against other chiros who treat full spine. You are actually hurting our profession and need your negative attitude adjusted.
