  • These cars are very nice up close. They are coming in rather afforadable now too after just a year old.

  • i had a 93 sho loved that car... would like to have a new one...

  • @MrSnipes206 They are great cars!

  • Ha ha! That ain't your grandmom's Taurus. That cart is sick. Ugly??? Wow.... Couldn't disagree more. Beautiful lines and scaling.

  • ugly ass car

  • @audis3k uglyass dumbass

  • Not very impressive considering the 5.0L Boss Mustang gets into the 10s with the same mods and some street slicks. Ford could have put the 5.0L in the Crown Vic, saved their money on retooling a whole assembly plant, and just kept the Panther design with a revamped interior and exterior.

  • @keyofdavid888 No, they run 10s with a supercharger.

  • @nathanischuck I didn't hear a supercharger, did you? Much less twin turbos like this little whimp of an engine needed (among everything else) to get into the 12s.

  • @keyofdavid888 I've seen separate videos of them running tens, and I thought they where stock until I read the description that said it had a supercharger. I'm guessing this is the same.

  • @keyofdavid888 This mustang got a 15 anyway, so I don't even know why we are arguing.

  • who needs a 335i with a jb tune when this thing weighs 1000lbs more and does just that

  • poor mustang

  • Anybody see that Mustang run 15.3? What a stupid driver.

  • @XetroVCruceru It could be a V6 Mustang. After all, the Taurus SHO is a 3.5L V6

  • @XetroVCruceru Bracket racing is not about speed, it is all about being consistent. In some venues BIG money is involved. Did you happen to pick up on the fact that Mustang actually dialed in as a 15.38 and actually ran a 15.31? The SHO dialed in at a 12.89 but ran a 12.75. They both broke out, but who was closer to their dial in ET? Run the same time each and every time and you will get paid. I have heard of mothers making a living bracket racing with their mini vans.

  • that was fast

  • Always got a kick out of driving the SHO. Even the ugly ones from 98 haha

  • @UberFAKnNooB Those were fun as well

  • Too bad they're ugly cars. A vehicle can be fast, but if it looks as bad as this I'm not interested.

  • @jpswift1 You're ugly.

  • @tksemipro Thanks for the kind words. Have a wonderful day.

  • fast car still the shame in driving a "Taurus" tho lool

  • @TJDeadkid Great cars! the 2013 will be getting a HP bump and facelift as well

  • @beefcakescobra

I don't think they will crank up the engine... 365hp is still on the menu for 2013 I believe. But many of us, new Gen SHO owners are running it with a tune and other small mods and we are now passed the 400-450hp easily...

You still are the first 2010 SHO in the 12's, but I am glad to have been able to surpass your time. You have been a motivation for a while. I ran a 12.67 last week at 111.64mph. Aiming at 12.5's this weekend! Love the car!

    Cheers!

  • @steve142857 congrats!

  • @steve142857 what kind of tune and mods are you talking about. I have a 2011 SHO and was wondering what I could do without breaking the bank????

  • @gdm1941

Tunes by Livernois Motorsport (500$, comes with SCT device). CAI by Airaid (around 300$), custom exhaust (800$), H&R springs (around 300$ plus install). Hankook sumeer performance tires (around 700$ for 4 x 20''). Ceramic braking pads (400$). HID 6K kit (around 350$). I drive the car only with octane 94. So, all-in for around 3K in additional cost, you have a fast car that works as well at the drag strip than at the corner of the street.

    Enjoy!

  • @beefcakescobra ive heard there will be and there isnt going to be a bump, which one lol??

  • @ftffighter there will be a horsepower bump for 2013

  • the camera perspective makes it look all small and squashed up! lol

  • @jaffacake1578 only video i could find

  • @jaffacake1578 The camera perspective is caused by video post processing either by Youtube or by the original camera. It looks like mini-me version. Cute.

  • @jaffacake1578 yeah, shitty aspect ratio.

  • @bigfatjohn120 Oh and almost forgot the only SHO that really had problems was the Gen 3. I read about some of the bigger issues it had. Engine Failure and something about the cams not being properly placed. The Gen 3 SHO was a V8, While all others are V6 (Gens 1,2 and now 4 as well as the soon to be Gen 5 2013 SHO)

The only real problem some of the gen 1 and gen 2 had was a plastic piece that held the 2 shifter cables together as well as bad oil seals.

  • @bigfatjohn120 My 91 runs just as good as when it wheeled out of the factory. What i am saying is the Body size (IMO) is a bit big to be running off of a V6 But seeing as its a 365 HP V6 then i guess its excusable. Personally I wouldn't mind driving it but raceing it well.... it just kinda seems a little weird raceing something the size of a toyota pickup xD

  • If it's the "worlds first 12 second pass in the quarter mile," why does he have his dial in at 12.98? It's written on the door glass. Nice car, but the title is LIES!!! DIRTY DIRTY LIES!

  • @qwertywrangler Not true. During qualifying the car ran a bunch of 13. teens. We cranked up the boost and the goal was a 12 or bust. I had to pick a dial, so I picked a dial just in the 12's. My friends even said I was being optimistic with a 12 dial in. And then we rocketed way past the 13 second mark by a quarter second.

  • @beefcakescobra Nice...

  • IT'S WAS GOOD. BUT I DON'T LIKE BRACKET RACING THOUGH SO I GIVE IT DISLIKE. NICE CAR ANYWAY.

  • Just a tune, thats it!

  • Anything done to the engine of the SHO? Any modifications or can someone expect to buy one off the showroom and run these times?

  • goal was a 12, didn't know where it was gonna come in lol!

  • a bit too quick for that dial in.

  • the engine is no joke. got one in my f 150 and no 1 in town can touch it !!!!! try it. line up! u will not beat the eco boost!the only thing that can keep up, is another eco boost!! its 3.5 litter! my 4 cly toyota is 2.7 come on. 5.3 n5.7 v8 waste your gas ! u just cant put up the cash 4 the boost!!!!! thats why u hate ford!!!!! case closed!!! its n fing half ton 4 crying out loud. if they boost the 6.8 litter look out..

  • @frandaby1 Ill be more than happy to run my 5.7 against ya.......

  • @frandaby1 The Ecoboost is a twin turbocharged V6, a 2.7 liter four cylinder doesn't make a good comparison honestly. It's a bit silly to compare forced induction against natural aspiration size wise, the added cylinder bore filling ability of FI makes it an apples to oranges argument.

  • well i like the ford sho. i dont need to drive that fast to TJmax, walmarts, movies, running errands its so much traffic here. i rarely drive faster than 40 miles maybe yesterday i was able to go like 65 b/c nobody was on road they were all at the beach but as soon as sun goes down traffic jams begin. but i love that For Sho. omg so what did i just see? did the Sho win? or loose? i dont understand why it started late

  • They should put the Eco-Boost engine in the Mustang, then there should be a race!

  • the taurus is ugly as hell but it does move, and it will never be a luxury car, its always gonna be piece of crap grandma car.

  • @randyzromo I agree with you,...the back end of this car is ridiculous!!! I liked the model right before this one instead......

  • Wow is that all? I guess that SHO is 4wd too? Boy oh boy. Standard OZ XR6 turbos are running high 12s....dead stock!! A mild flash tune and they are into the 11s. Its going to be a very SAD day when the One Ford Company take the Falcon away and replace it with this ugly slow pos. Another great drivers car will be biting the dust. Sorry you American guys couldnt have a taste of what we got...never mind, you got the Mustang and Camaro.

  • @glitches1337 Fucking true... I'm mainly a holden guy but i don't want to see the falcon go...

  • @glitches1337 @ 4600lbs, the car is flying!

  • @glitches1337 Comparing something the size of the Taurus to something to size of a Fusion is...well, that's what it is.

  • @glitches1337 I own a 1990 SHO and Im sorry that you will never be able to experience the secondaries opening on a Yamaha powered SHO, It's one hell of a feeling..

  • @ricxxxhxxie Yeah man I got a 1991 SHO Love the damn thing. The 2010 is more of luxury rather than what the SHO was intended to be... a Performance Sedan The GM V6 in the 2010 is pathetic compared to the old school yamahas.

  • @ProjectBlackout92 Um..... The V6 in the new Taurus isn't General Motors it's All ford.

It's running a Dual turbo 3.5 Standard in the SHO good for 335-340 Horsepower.

  • @Aceconvoy Dude no it isn't you can find the same motor minus the turbos in the Lincoln MKS This isn't a Ford V6. 90% of the car companies these days don't use their own shit. I've researched this car inside and out I can tell you for a FACT that's not a Ford V6 and Even if it was a Ford V6 still doesn't add up to the Yamaha V6s in Gen 1&2 Shos

  • Comment removed

  • @ProjectBlackout92 Again, why are you trying to tell people that it's not a Ford engine? Just because Ford came out with a new SHO finally and made your old Taurus more irrelevant than it already was doesn't give you the go-ahead to espouse this ludicrous bullshit. The base 3.5L engine produces 263HP, which is quite a bit more than the 220 your 3.0 or 3.2L Yamaha engines produce. That number has since gone up to 285HP in 2011.

  • Comment removed

  • @ProjectBlackout92 media.ford.com / article_display.cfm ? article_id = 34461 There is no opinion here. It is pure fact that the new Ford Taurus SHO is faster than the old Taurus SHO. It is pure fact that this car is powered by a Ford V6. You're an imbecile if you actually believe it's not a Ford engine.

  • @indyschmidt Well ok but idc if its faster I just wanted proof that it is a FORD motor. Now my only beef with this car after reading it is well..... the luxury body design xD Looks like it rolled outta a BMW or benz factory.

But I still love my Gen 1 and lets face it originals aren't meant to outlast everything. But they are cool to have.

I saw the Gen 5 2013 SHO I like the look on that thing looks similar to the Gen 1 in a way and the car seems to be a little smaller :D

  • @ProjectBlackout92 Fair enough

  • @ProjectBlackout92 its the ecobost engine so its a ford engine. same one there putting in the truck. same engine that will replace all there V8 applications. days of V8 engines in ford is coming to a close in about 8 years

  • @onebadg8 Yes we've already established that its EcoBoost. Lolz Next up : Ford Mustang GT with a Ecoboost 4.0 V6 xD I wonder what this means for Shelby Gt500 and the Saleen S281/302 o.o

  • @ProjectBlackout92 Are you serious? You're trying to tell people that know better that this is a GM engine? How high were you when you concocted that silly idea? Research the Ford EcoBoost motor because that is what's in this car. It's a Ford made 3.5L dual-turbo 60 degree V6 engine also found in the Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT, Ford Flex, and Ford F-150 (and all of them with turbos). Please do not speak unless you actually know what you are talking about. It's bad form.

  • @ProjectBlackout92 Why the fuck do you keep saying it's a GM V6? Are you fucking retarded? It's on Ford's website if you'd take the fucking time to look you asshat. I understand that you're seriously butthurt over the fact that there's a faster car out there than yours, but you'll get over that eventually.

  • poor little mustang.

  • @masterdirk101 yep!

  • Great you spilled the kid's drinks

  • Im a ford man and love turbo cars but for 38k, I would rather buy a Subaru STI or EVO. I have an 2008 wrx and run 12.9 with just a boost controller and exhaust. Still I would love to drive one one the new SHO's

  • @prochargdgt91

Beside the price, the cars don't compare. STI or EVO are not luxury cars. They are brutal small cars good for fun and rally. Their interior are made of cheap plastic that you'd see in a 20K$ car. With just a mild tune it will flirt with the 12's also. The SHO is spacious, luxurious AND is fast. Also, the SHO has its power from 1500 rpm as opposed to the STI and EVO that get it at higher rpm. SHO will run same numbers run after run and on highway will destroy STI and EVO.bye

  • @steve142857 exactly, the sho is on par with bmw's etc.. as far as quality and options, heated / cooled seats, nav, massaging seats, paddle shifters, etc..

  • @prochargdgt91 The reason the price is soo high is, ofcourse, because of all the stuff it comes with. Just the luxury, you know? But still beats the price of a Challey.

  • Ok it has more than a tune. Really. My car has a cmr tune and it didnt pick me up over a full second. You can get a good 30 to 40 hp out of a good cmr tune but not enough to pick you up that much.

  • @mrhighnote car had only a tune on it

  • @mrhighnote Look up Livernois Tuned 2010 Taurus SHO vs 2011 5.0 Mustang GT on Here and watch the Taurus(with nothing but a tune) pace right beside a 5.0 Mustang. The 2011 GT's are supposed to run 12.7's right. hmmmmmm..... I dont think this guy is lying.

  • how is it the worlds first 12 second pass? The cts v n the camaro make 10 sec passes the new mustang is a 11 second pass. so this the first v6 12 sec pass because I have 2008 cts n it runs 12sec at 107

  • @coleman238 its not the first v6 to do a 12... its the first 2010 taurus sho to do 12 sec

  • @gradxg o ok yea the old SHO's wasn't known for explosive speed.Like the new design on the new SHO but Mustang is the only CAR FORD has worth a shit. Chevy has camaro and vette

  • @coleman238 ford is actually doing pretty good nowadays..

  • @gradxg ummm mustang n the F series trucks are doing ok! not so much the Taurus, explorer, expedition, edge, escape and so on...Chevy has camaro, corvette, silverado, malibu, and tahoe....all in which have been car of the yr....Ford's mustang n F series is the only award winning in ford. Not nocking ford but GM has the crown as of right now but lke yrs before im sure it will flip flop back n forth. Which it it may be BOTH are BETTER THAN JAP CRAP ricers!

  • @coleman238 aha yeah fuck those rice peice of shits

  • @coleman238 Yeah I agree GM is better than any japanese, but Ford is on top right now. The popular consensus of citizens and media is that Ford is #1. Yeah you are going to have the diehard fan of GM, Dodge, Toyota etc...But Ford not taking any government money, not declaring bankruptcy, and increasing the quality of their product has made them the one to beat in the American auto market. You are right that it will likely flip flop back and forth, but its not GM thats #1 right now....Its Ford

  • @Punisher7121 ACTUALLY no there not, after the economy busted FORD laid off WAY more people than GM and not to mention they cut the retirement pay literally in half to what it was while GM stayed true to what they said they would pay their retirees. My grandpa worked for Cadillac for 30 yrs so i know that to be a fact, Ford has the f series trucks n mustang and thats it, GM has the top selling car in US. and is top charts in japan with this new camaro.

  • @coleman238 If you make more product, you need to sell more in order to make money. And the economy didnt bust Ford, they handled it just fine. If you think GM didnt lay off a shit ton of people, you are sadly mistaken. Forbes just released a list of the worst cars on the road.....GM had 4 cars in list, Ford had ZERO. That is also partly because GM MAKES MORE MODELS THAN FORD. So your logic of GM being #1 because they sell more cars is flawed, they HAVE to sell more to stay in business.

  • @Punisher7121 obviously a ford guy but BOTH companys LAID off a SHIT ton of people if you dont believe that then your a dumbshit!!! GM probably did have cars on there because they produce WAY more vehicles than Ford ever wish they could so dont get it twisted because ford dont make that many different cars. Show me the list...

  • @coleman238 Actually my last 4 cars were 2 mustangs, a TA, and a Camaro, so I have no preference. Its the opposite, you clearly are a biased GM guy. And I didnt say Ford didnt lay anyone off, you are the one that implied Ford laid off WAY more ppl. You aren't a bright one, are you? Go to Forbes and look up their worst car list. Yahoo.com had a link to the article. Use your brain, you shouldnt need someone to show you a list when they tell you where to find it...Forbes, ever hear of it?

  • @Punisher7121 yea im biased after clearly saying that FORD flip flops with GM taking the high spot in america wow maybe you should read before you open your mouth ole "BRIGHT" one. n yea I tried to look it up n nothing bout chevy being on there but the cruz n ford had the focus on there.

  • @Punisher7121 not to mention the list is of 90's to 2000. It clearly states that Detroit 3 BIG companies have made bigger better and more durable vehicles than any other in the last 10 yrs.

  • @gradxg off topic, that Ford Fiesta is nice. Id cop it.

  • @tambunansumlang ford fiesta is doing great too..

  • wake me up when it's done. *yawn*

  • Anyone else want to know what that throaty beast in the background is?

  • 15 seconds for a 2010 mustang?!?!? WTF my moms stock ford focus 2001 runs 16.100 seconds

  • The gnx is a v6

  • Wow I'd buy one of these! Its a V6 on top of that!

  • @torque395 Very nice cars! You wouldn't be dissapointed!

  • @beefcakescobra not to mention its sick looking!

  • @torque395 its a twin turbo v6. an impressive v6 engine is the 1987 buick gnx. check it out... put some slicks on the buick and its running low 12's, N/A too.

  • @DivineEthos The grand national is not N/A. It is a 3.8L Turbocharged V6. I'm sure there is a reason ford used two turbos on the SHO. Probably one smaller one for instant boost while the bigger one spools and takes over.

  • @DivineEthos gnx is not n/a, it's turbo'd... lol...

  • @torque395 actually they come with a 3.4l v8

  • @SchuyTV If you are in reference to the SHO, the 2nd generation SHO was a V8. The new one is an "ecoboost" 3.5 twin turbo V6 rated at 365hp. Quite impressive.

  • Nicely done (and with very little drama too).

  • @checazzovolete thanks

  • @checazzovolete thanks

  • acually that taurus has about the same power as a mustang gt stop hatin on ford my 2002 focus SVT will eat a Civic Si

  • @PoorBoy1979 Kind of like the HHR looks exactly like the PT Cruiser?

  • lol i couldn't hear it

  • im sorry, id take the those 90's mustangs anyday. just drownds out all other sounds

  • Looked at one today & have to say the interior isn't bad

  • the SHO will always and will be the best vehicle made by ford, fuck mustangs!

  • @Lsvtecbenny99 you sir, are an idiot.

  • awww do you drive a mustang? if so, im sorry that you have a little sand in your vage.

  • @Lsvtecbenny99 no i do not drive a mustang, however i do drive a SHO and it is the worst peice of shit i have ever owned. and vag* dumbshit

  • interesting... these things can probably run w/ some evo's and sti's....

  • @bungsei if you own a taurus sho you have no business hanging out with kids and their japanese cars in a dunkin donuts parking lot.

  • So what has been done to this one?

  • @sumfoo1 Just a tune. Still the fastest tune only SHO out there! Only 1 has went faster and he had to spray it to go quicker

  • ha had to laugh at the beefcake nick name.....one other person called themselves beefcake...CARtman on southpark....LMAO fast ass

  • BEEFCAKE! BEEFCAKE!!!!!

  • @z06forme Maybe so, but the caddy is almost twice the price.

  • @z06forme i agree the cts-v is a mean motherfucker and a taurus sho is never gonna beat it stock to stock

  • Sweet run... I wonder how long the transmission will hold up to those kind of runs?

  • It's still a Taurus....

  • @lcplic nothing wrong with that

  • @beefcakescobra A fast freaking Taurus!!!!

  • @lcplic jealousy will get the best of you

  • @XxlargemanxX Jealous??? Not even close man....

  • @lcplic

And your RCSB S/C Tundra is just Tundra, what's your point?

  • @PzownedProductions Ummm, listen here Pee'dOnProductions, shut yo mouth!

  • @lcplic

Umm, listen here dicklip, shut your whore mouth.

  • @PzownedProductions That is no way to talk to your daddy!!!

  • @lcplic

Sorry kid, my mother don't sleep with trash.

  • @PzownedProductions She apparently did.... And gave birth to your dumbass. /End Argument....

  • @lcplic it still smoked that mustang......

  • @lcplic lmao you drive a faggot ass toyota and this (supposedly horrible) taurus is about 2 seconds faster. go kill yourself.

  • nice run thats sick!! i love how the mustang runs 15.3..thats what my 07 hemi ram quad cab runs hahaha.

  • @Buckin93Bronco lol yeah i was wondering how they managed that. they mustve had an engine swap with a four banger

  • wtf. DSM WILL MURDER

  • wtf

  • I'm starting to realize that most Ford fans can be considered ricers. They can't take someone criticizing their favorite cars and they have to be smart and try to prove someone wrong by way of an insult. Ricers like to think they know it all and no one else does. Hopefully, those who see this might know who they are.

  • Some people who know nothing or with to narrow knowledge on cars, shouldnt be allowed to make comments. Due to this fact; Im sure you dont know who you are

  • Nice...

  • The SHO is bad-ass hands down on its new platform and should keep up to the reliability of the import world powertrain wise. However, it has been verified that if meticulous maintenance is performed on any vehicle, it doesn't matter what you drive, Honda, Toyota, Chev, Ford etc... it'll last longer than statistics prove on average if attention and maintenance are considered accurately! Sick Ride!

  • @WNAGOFST I agree totally. But, meticulous maintenance means lots of preventative maintenance too, which most fail to do. Lots of people generally keep up w/ the regular things: oil, tire rotation, brakes, visual checks. But, how many do tranny services? Or coolant? And most of time, folks ignore the check engine light. I think those are contributing to ALL cars nowadays falling apart prematurely.

  • @carguyfrom1984 Well, put, but I know I drive a mspeed protege with 270,000 kms... purchased new in 2004, service been done at regular intervals as per or just before manufacturer specs at Mazda. So its proven that even with high k's the car is still worth more than it could without the proof in maintenance, ... on trade value is worth top notch at the dealership versus the undocumented, un maintained, so I guess there are a few factors that would contribute to the values of depreciation.

  • @WNAGOFST Well, granted, typical dealerships could care less how nice your car is. They are going to give you bottom dollar no matter how well kept it is. Obviously, anyone's best chance is to sell it outright or just keep it as long as you can.

  • I had a sho a few years ago it was a 95, 5 speed with exaust system, cold air intake, and a chip to null the restricters... i would run about a 13.5 on a good day... man I miss that car :(

  • @carguyfrom1984 that lead ford has will most likely stay ford has a bunch of new shit coming out while chevy stays the same EVERY year

  • dodge only uses coils in the halftons, end of c channel frame was 02

  • Obviously, this SHO has some cranked up boost. Nice car though. I'd almost consider owning one if they weren't so darned expensive.

  • but it stil looks cheap, i would go but it right now, but only if it looked more like an Audi. right now the word cheap is visible all over it

  • its a turbocharged v6... nothing special... why do u think so many stock mustangs got owned by turbocharged civics in the past... boost is better than n/a. took ford long enough to realize tho! after all these jetta, volvo, and turbocharged audis since like the 1990s!!!

  • That is a sick SHO!

  • oh the sho has a twin turbo v8 yall and is also wayy bigger than a cts v

  • @G3MINI101 its the eco boost twin turbo v6

  • The maing thing i like about it is it doesnt look modded up, a dam good sleeper, so when a fool pulls up...

  • @z06forme im with you two different levels in two different cars but damn thats a nasty sho i would still want a cts v over any saw your sn you have a z06?

  • So what mods DOES this have?

  • cts-v is not just another caddy, it is the first american sedan in a long time to have competetive qualities, good design, amazing technology and handling. The 2 door coupe needs to be redesigned but the sedan is tight. U see a cts-v on the road you obey it. The cts v6 direct injection can probably smoke the sho. 360 hp in a v6 twin turbo ain't that fast. Caddy produces more than 300 in a v6.

  • @z06forme

don't get me wrong. i by no means think that the cts-v is a bad car, but i don't respect it. anyone could put a LS6 or LS9 into a car and claim they have the fastest production sedan. i don't like the way they toot their own horn about that. i'm no car guru, but i believe ford's ecoboost engine is shared with other manufactures too. ok, i'll admit it...i hate caddys.

  • I love gimp fights,,,
