  • Friend Vicky is pretty hot.

  • yes, you can use this in extended mode with different applications running in each screen

  • can you extend the screen (multiscreen)? for example play a full size you tube clip on the tv and then use your laptop screen for something else

  • Can I hook up to the iMac G5? Lets say its in a bedroom, can the signal be received in the living room where the HDTV is?

  • where do you buy it from?

  • @20101thejack you can buy the Imation Link on Amazon.com

  • @AlereonTx thanks

  • This product is now available from Imation at Amazon.com.

  • Is output 1080p or just 720p?

  • @tw1stedj4y the output is 720p

  • @tw1stedj4y the current version is 720p

  • what is the price for this product and where can it be purchased?

  • @tw1stedj4y this product will be available later this month in retail stores and on the web. Price is not available yet, stay tuned for more information

  • Why such a random coutry like Costa Rica? hahaha

  • Can this also be used for a desktop?

  • When this device will be available?

  • Hi escuse me what's the price of this product .

  • So, what are the system requirements needed to easily play full screen HD video on extended desktop to a 42 inch TV through this device smoothly without any dropped frames or choppiness?

  • We generally recommend at least a 2.2GHz processor running with a reasonable amount of RAM (at least 2GB).

  • Hello, how is the audio transported via HDMI? Will it support 5.1 surround?

  • HDMI supports audio through the same cable as the video and yes, it supports 5.1 surround.

  • Nice product

  • hi, can you play / stream dvd from the dvd drive to your TV?

  • you can play non-protected DVD's, i.e. not Blu-ray

  • Can you give us an idea of when the product may be available, and the distribution channel?

  • we expect the product to be in the channel around the end of March, early April. it will be available through a number of both online and brick and mortar retailers.

  • Would it work with MAC?

  • yes, the product does support MACs.

  • Will this also work on Desktop?

  • sure, as long as the desktop is within the 30' range and in the room

  • Another question, what resolution will I get? my PC only goes to 1440x900 and my TV gets Full HD signal.

  • There's a smalldelay between laptop's monitor and HDTV!!

IT MEANS IT'S NOT USEFULL FOR GAMERS!!!!

  • the delay is less than 2 frames and according to the guys at NVidia it is absolutely okay for games.

  • question.....is it a usb dongle or hdmi dongle?

  • usb. it will plug into any usb port

  • Sorry folks, at CES so time to update is sporadic. Again, the price will be sub $200 and introduced in March. Resolution is max 1440x1050 or 720p video. It acts like an extended monitor, there is no artifacting. Most HDTV's will stretch to fill the screen and if you run a high res video will down scale to 720p (which looks great). More comments as i get time.

  • WHATS THE PRICE ???

  • again, not announced yet but less than $200

  • Can you have multiple of these in close proximity? Your video said it wasn't meant to go through walls. So if I wanted to use this as a solution to connect to a ceiling-mounted LCD projector without having to A/V wiring, but had several classrooms near each other with their own extenders, will I suffer from interference problems?

  • When do you expect it to be released?

    What are the resolution restrictions?

How does it handle different aspect ratios? Does it stretch the picture?

Can I project my MacBook Pro running a local video on my 1080p TV without low frame rate or artifacting?

    Is there noticeable compression artifacting?

  • Price?

  • The product is compatible with Mac's and has an approximate distance of 30 feet. It is not meant to go through walls, and is an in-room technology only (this limitation is based on the amount of power the FCC will allow UWB systems to use)

  • You can already do this crap with the WD TV Live...hahahaha

  • Curious if this is going to be compatible with Mac's?

  • it is a great product by the way. i will definitely consider to buy it if its available in my market.

  • Nowire? wireless? isn't it brings the same meaning? why give it the name like that?

  • what's the maximum range between the receiver and the usb plug-in? and how much would the range decrease if broadcasting through walls?

  • I have often wondered why this type of product hasn't been on more companies radar sooner. Suggestions to consider for future updates...1.) Be transparent, base unit should be small and mountable in wire cave that exist on the back of most TVs. In others word I don't won't to see it. Ditch the blue light. 2.) Power pass-through, most people go a lot headache to get those LCD panel mounted and the last thing they want is power cables dripping from the wall. Seems like a nice product otherwise.

  • To give you some kind of baseline, we expect to see these introduced at sub $200 retail

  • does this work with netbooks also? netbooks tend to have cheaper models of video card that does not support much.

  • Price?

  • 1680 x1050 graphics or you can view 720p video [which translates to resolutions up to1440x1050 or 1280x720]

  • what is the maximum resolution that it transmits?

  • The latency is extremely small and is based on the quality of the wireless connection. Also note that you can run this in either mirror mode, or extended mode just like a second PC Monitor. The product is going to be introduced by a major OEM in March of 2010 so there is no pricing information available right now.

  • doesnt ANYONE else makes something similar ?

  • How much latency is there? Seems like only 10 or 20ms, but it is noticable. Why no information on pricing?

  • These will be available in March of 2010

  • where do you get this alereon wireless hub? i have tried all websites..no one is aware of it i guess?
