IMHO it has nothing to do with spring. The shown pilots dont check their canopy before takeof and hardly controle the aircraft. The tandem pilots are the worst i have ever seen!
love the guy at 1:28 looks like he is gonna run like hell but then he imeadeality sits down :) i have learned that your feet shuld be pointing down when close to the ground
Sorry for my obvious comment but this launch is no place to be fucking about! Also, half of these dum dums would have successfully launched with a rigid wing....not sure that's a good thing though. :)
such compilations, while not necessarily being dramatic, are incredibly useful for people to review and learn from. Indeed, there really is a problem with the launching. Thanks.
Well, indeed, ONE SINGLE of these incidents is a crash, the rest is about 50:50 split between mis-starts and more or sometimes less controlled aborted starts. You can see plenty of these on any start where student pilots are starting.
Some of the aborts and misstarts look like the pilot isn't a very good or routined pilot, but occasionally an aborted start any pilot, even the best, has. Especially if the wind ain't laminar. A controlled abort is rather a sign of good piloting than the opposite!
Ah, found the correct term; to inflate his parachute. When he doesn't manage to inflate his parachute it isn't a crash;) With those winds you should inflate your parachute backwards btw.. much more control!
I would like to know is this place cause Iam a certified paraglider instructor, that would be a good bussiness working with those guys!! please let me know how far is this place from Guadalajara Mexico I am looking for job!!
I don't even PG, but it seems like they don't know what they are doing. Are they trying to launch too early before the canopy is above them and in control?
Nice video. I'm inclined to say your crashes are pilot related with the exception of 1:16. Crappy conditions will ruin any launch. But it looks more like the wings just aren't being laid out and handled properly.
If you see everyone crashing/failing wouldn't you assume you will probably also fail. Looks like a side/cross wind in addition to a few other unfavorable factors.
You guys ever heard of a training hill.....? 0_0

There is somewhere in the mind of bad pilots a voice which says: I'll never abort a launch, no matter how bad it starts....

Looks like the pilots need to practice there kiting skills. Doing forwards in windy conditions....AHHH WHY?

This is like ground lunching with a skydive shoot?
But its a bit different type of shoot so its called paragliding?
Correct?
And hanggliding is wthe V shape wings.

Nice video. Although.. it's not a crash when the pilot don't manage to put his parachute above his head (don't know the english terms...)

yes, with some of the take offs the wind was from a 90 degrees from the left.
On some of the videos the gilder were taking off with no wind.
