Metalcore isn't extreme metal. Extreme metal is mainly thrash, death, and black metal. That doesn't mean metalcore is bad, or I wouldn't be watching this.

However, I believe that harcore metal could just mean a cross between metal, and hardcore punk (which is metalcore). And BFMV may have entreme metal influences in their style, which makes them sound kinda like thrash.

Slipknot is not a metal band; nu-metal has no technical metal roots, it sterns more from hardcore and rapping but hardly has a thing to do with metal. Nevermore is a power/thrash metal band, not an extreme metal one and as far as I was concerned metal USUALLY has fast guitars regardless of the genre, Kerrang is shit once again for they could interview HIM and call them 'love metal' and feature them on the cover.
