Shit, I feel sorry for you. Like you, I couldn't get past the 2nd level (City Ruins) the first time I played this game. And mind you I was only five and this was back when the game was new! However, unlike you, by the time I was six, I made it to the end when playing it with my cousins, and I beat it, too! Though my cousin lost his last life on the final level, I completely slaughtered that final boss!
Yeah same story here, except on hardest. On my way to the last boss I got 5 extra lives from points (yes there are THAT many enemies on this setting) and had my cousin press start for the last boss.
this game is awesome! they must have done so many drugs while designing it! Crazy music, weird graphics, and the powerstar thing is great...pickitup from romnation

AWESOME!!!! It is one of the best Sega shooter ever. Even better than musha or eliminate down.

It's great to see this game get a second chance on the Nintendo Wii!
Me and my friend have been playing this for 15 years and we're still not bored of it! The music rocks too!

I had this game when I was a kid, it was sooooo hard, I couldnt even get past the 2nd level.
Got it for the Wii VC, and I still cant get past the 2nd level.
