Because he is not a team player. He plays too much for himself. He dribbles too much, which causes him to lose the ball all the time. He shots are always way off-target way over the goal. Pretty much he always tries to be Ronaldo when he isn't Ronaldo. Ronaldo is gone now though, so who knows? Maybe Nani will finally be Nani.

He has the talent, he just has to be it together now. He is nowhere near a great player quite yet, as some people seem to think he is.
