  • will this work with the fasst 7c to or just the 8c and up ?

  • Hi guy, during one of my recent crash,..I lost one of the twin antenna in the field,..I was wondering what effect does this have on the orange FASST rx? Thanks!

  • Thank you for the video but please omit the overlaid music, quite distracting and could hardly hear the servo binding when we were listening for it.

  • i have this receiver but during fpv test i lose the signal at 1.4km. with original futaba receiver i can go up to 2km... this is a good solution for cheap airplane, not bad, because orifinal futaba receiver is very expensive.. but for fpv it is not indicated

  • @emare11 Thank You.

  • I bought 5 and first one blow smoked up at the power up with 4 cell nimh.

the 2nd did not bind. Sending them back.

Tried with 2 different 10c radios.

    not worth to me.

  • i have 3 more of the rx's. i havent totally given up, but i will ensure all flights are on little foamies until i build up some trust with the rx. :)

  • @ltdorn

I'm am using with this same idea, build trust gradually. And that is needed for each rx, quality control causes me more suspicious than the device itself.

  • Sorry, i have to give a one star. i watched my Brand new FunCub fly way locked out from the transmitter with zero control and in a perfect climbing turn. up up and away. in my 20 years of RC flying this was my first fly away. First flight was fine, then the second one, i was about 350 feet away climbing, then nothing. it climbed to a dot until we all at the field lost sight of it. Radio, Futaba 12FG. Funcub with micro servos, 40 amp speed control and Monster 10 motor with 11x5.5 prop. All gone.

  • @ltdorn

Sorry, it's never easy to accept the loss of a model, regardless of the reason. It's always very sad, please accept my sympathy, I know well what it is. You said 350 meters, I'm not going to 200/300 meters as well as the receiver, is the extent of my flights with parkflyers. This is my distance trust with this receptor. Perhaps in the future, I risk flying longer with increasing confidence. I still believe that saving $40/$50 is good for this type of flight.

  • I installed the this receiver in a Great Plane Reactor with nitro eng. I have tested the receiver on this plane in multiple outings (range and response good). But today, on my second flight, I lost control 30 seconds after take off, at approximately 200 meters from the Tx. Confirmed batt 100% and receiver loses signal at that distance and recovered at closer distance.

My conclusion, don't use this receiver on planes if you care about your planes/helis. It is not worth the saving of $40.

  • @jsflysrc

I am using for 3 months without problems for flights with parkflyers. I believe for this type of use the saving is valid.

  • Thanks for this info, very informative. I never even knew about high and normal speed, still a rc noob.

    Welcome.
