That guitar solo was the definition of badass. The bass was funky as hell. The horns and saxes were killer, the drums were groovy, and of course the singing and piano playing was great as always (despite not knowing the words :) )
To be an impromptu performance of this song, you guys did really well! Stevie Wonder is such a technically challenging artist to cover, anyway. Again, you guys did a great job!
Andrew, That was way f'n incredible. Dayum! I am not much into Jazz, but this was fantastic! The ability for all the musicians to fit playing together like that, is... synchronicity.
Hope you have time to enjoy the sights over there! Thanks for posting!
and there was not one dry panty that night

this was really epic, but why did you do it in C instead of the original key of Eb?
ChrisisBass13 6 months ago 2
@ChrisisBass13 Haha cause I can't sing it in Eb! I'm no Stevie Wonder so i had to pitch it down to sing it in a manageable key.

Pretty epic for a song you guys never rehearsed!

@06jme I wouldn't really call Stevie Wonder "technically challenging".... not by the standards of jazz musicians, anyway.
But it was still a really great performance!
