Both actually, this particular generator is more for testing purposes, until we can put together the bigger 1000 watt generator to power some outdoor nightime lighting, etc. Ever since he learned about global warming he has been very enthusiastic in helping to develop alternative energy sources, including my HHO generator for automobiles....
It was a little off balance, I ended up taking the propellers to work to balance them out and made a new tail fin out of some stronger sheet metal to get rid of the wobble.....
cool, is this to generate some free electricity, or more a project for you and your son. I think thats great that your son is so enthusiastic about alternative wind power. if you have time check out Dan Rojas at GREENPOWERSCIENCE here on YT. He's mainly into DYI solar power, but has some neat vids. Think you will enjoy.
