A little tidbit I learned from Tom Logan: When you walk into an audition, the casting director and the people next to him are not ACTORS, they're directors, YOU are the actor. YOU are the expert! They have NO idea what you should or shouldn't do, they just want to see you (the expert) perform the way YOU see fit. They are not a judging panel. There is no right or wrong! If you overstress about what they thought of your audition, you will lose drive and determination quickly and fizzle out.

Don't take advice from this woman. Just be confident and have a passion for the material and don't be afraid to show it. The rest will flow. Don't be too worried about impressing the casting director either. That will make you even more nervous. Directors will know when you're trying to impress them. Trust me, it won't work. Relax, and don't forget to really get into the character.

i tried the whole "show them your right and left profile" for an equity show and they asked me what i was doing. i told them i heard thats what you do for pro auditions and the guy laughed at me and told me to stop listening to that person.....yeah i didnt get the part....
