  • I finally just subscribed to your channel, however I've been watching since the beginning. I'm only able to purchase maybe one or two games a year and your videos helped me decide on my last purchase which was Mansions Of Madness last summer, so thanks for that. I've been looking for a dungeon crawl type of game and now I'm trying to decide between Dungeon Run and one of the D&D games Your play through of both look fun... Anyway, just wanted to say thanks from the GTA, Ontario, Canada

  • @ianross79 You're very welcome. I know what it's like to be restricted to only a few games a year, each purchase becomes much more important. If we're helping you make more informed choices, then I am very glad to hear that!

  • I have just discovered your series and am still in the process of watching (almost) all of your videos. I enjoy them all, even if games like Mansions Of Madness or Dungeon Run are not my preferred genre (maybe because I am from Europe). But I really consider buying 7 Wonders now, so special thanks for that series.

    Maik from Germany

  • @Indii42 We really want to do a variety of different kinds of games, so I hope we try a few more that is to your liking! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos and let us know what you think.

  • Nice idea, and keep up the good work. Matt from Northville, Michigan

  • Found your show 3 days ago,and it's just amazing. As a 18 years old brazilian student it's hard to buy any good board game, since all the games that we have here is at least 30 years old, like monopoly or the old risk.

In order to get anything different we have to import so I never buy anything, but your show is helping me to control my boardgaming urge.

    Samir Andrade-Aracaju-Brazil

  • @AndradeSamir I really sympathize with your situation, if we can help you make a really informed decision before you take the plunge and order a game, that is very fulfilling for us. Hope you find some real gems in our series that will appeal to you.

  • Joe from Columbus, Ohio. Play Cosmic Encounter!!! I need to know if it's good enough to spend the money!! Thanks :)

  • Not sure if you have done the map idea yet or not, but if you can add me to it that would be great!

    Jose from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I just recently discovered your series and I am loving it! Keep up the fantastic work, and have fun on your vacation!

  • Yeah Summoner Wars

    Sean - Bristol, United Kingdom

  • I am looking forward to your playthrough of Summoner Wars. With Magic, Dominion and Thunderstone in my collection I am not really in the market for another card game right now. Summoner Wars looks very promising tough... as does The Lord of the Rings LCG.

In the next few weeks I should finally get Mansions of Madness which I bought because of your series. Shipping took a long time... can't wait to try it out!

Keep up the great work. I really appreciate this series!

    Michael from Vienna, Austria

  • Hey Rodney & Smiths,

Congrats on your show, it's such a delight to see people just getting along, having fun doing their thing, being good to each other. So much on TV is miserable and sad, you are the exact opposite: enthusiastic, thoughtful and respectful.

Great show, and I'd love to be on your board!

    Johnny, Sydney, Australia

  • @WatchItPlayed A game you CANNOT overlook is The Betrayal At The House on the Hill. Like Mansions of Madness, it is a very scenario driven game. It comes with 50 scenarios! Please check thislol out Rodney! Cheers, Chris Iagallo

  • thanks from rockford, illinois kale

  • Can you do a play through of Star Trek Expediations or Super Dungeon Explore!

    Keep the vids coming!

  • Finally made an account. Just for your show, Rodney! It's great you want to make a map of all the viewers and where they live.

Tom D - Sharks Territory! (San Ramon, California) / for the non Hockey fans, lol.

  • Hello Rodney,

     love the show.

from Nathan , west sussex, england.

  • Hey Rodney

The perk for the $4000 goal is a very neat idea. Because you know that you have a world wide audience, but we only have a guess most of the time.

So maybe you reveal another fan of you series in my hometown? =)

Have a great vacation with your familiy.

This is Andreas Lippert from Hamburg, Germany

  • Aaron from Iowa City, Iowa

  • (Sorry for double post, I pressed send to soon) Timothy from long island NY

  • Enjoy your vacation!

  • Hi rodney!

Very cool that you'll play summoner wars next, love that game!

I also support your idea of the 4000-perk and would like to see the result as well.

Keep it up but enjoy your vacation first!

    Vasco from Amsterdam, the netherlands.

  • Don't comment often but, I love what you guys do! Continue your good work!

Daniel Rioux from Montréal, Québec, Canada

  • Enjoy your vacation ! Keep up the great work !!

    Rodney from Tompkinsville, KY

  • Hey Rodney,

I've search this game YOMI on Boardgamegeek and it looks great!!!!

But i think, that is too far away from my shelf ( will cost a lot of MONEY for me, kkkkkkk).

    Have a nice vacation!!!

Luiz Eduardo Gomes - São Paulo - Brazil

  • @SuperKlaus1980 The nice thing is you can get individual packs for much cheaper. You don't need the full set to play.

  • @WatchItPlayed Or the print and play version has all the decks for super cheap. Just print it out and throw the decks in some sleeves for some rigidity!

  • so got mansions of madness today and its so awesome!! setup can take a bit but once u get started its so fun

  • Riddle from Orlando,Fl

  • Michael from Sydney Australia. Great show! & happy holidays

  • Chris Kreitzman, Charlottesville, Va, USA.

I enjoy the un-boxing/announcement vids, keep them up. It's a nice break from the series going on and it lets us get a look at the possible games to come. I think the map idea is a great perk. Something to show just how connected the gaming community really is. Maybe at some point you could do a poster or something to sell so we all could have our own copy of the map and display our "Watch It Played" connection to others. Food for thought.

  • From the looks of these comments you're going to have a big project on your hands when you hit 4000 Rodney. We'd love to see their reactions when you show them the map.

Loving the show and keep enjoying making it as much as we enjoy watching!

    Milo from Eindhoven, the Netherlands

  • @AdenineMonkey I'll record giving it to them, for sure. And you're right.... I have a lot of typing and google map searching to do!

  • Cannot wait for Summoner Wars!!!

Are you going to have just one episode for viewer to vote for which faction you will be using in Summoner Wars?

  • @Yaoau I say yes to casting a vote

  • @Yaoau Not sure about this. Some factions seem a little more balanced against one another, so it would be nice to showcase a couple factions that are evenly matched without having to do any deck-building. Maybe we'll let the viewers pick one faction and then we'll pick another faction to balance it. We will certainly have votes on gameplay decisions though!

Looking forward to Summoner Wars! I've been eyeballing the master set lately and debating whether to buy or not. Now I can see for certain if I'll enjoy it :) I mainly game with my 9 and 10 year old daughter and son. I've watched an enjoyed all of your playthroughs. Keep up the great work!

    Keep the kids in!!! :)

  • Chris Iagallo, Rochdale Massachusetts!

Awesome videos! Keep up the great work, i've picked up mansions of madness because of you! ALSO! You should do The Betrayal At The House On The Hill, It's a great board game! It's very scenario driven & i think it fits perfectly with the types of games you are doing on here! Cheers mate & hope to win the contest!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol. Merga here. I just rewatched the video part which describes the 4K perk and I totally invented what I hoped it would be. I thought it would be a world map with a string connecting all of us to you with red string, like how investigators do in movies and what not when they have pictures and clues all connected. Talk about totally day dreaming/wishful thinking while watching the video.

  • @thegreatmerga That would be pretty amazing :) Dream big, work hard. Might be a fun thing to do!

  • Merga, Montreal, QC, Canada. Can't wait to be on the string map!

  • I can't possibly respond to all of these comments, but can I just say this: YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. Thank you all for being a part of our show and our lives.

I wish I could just sticky this to the top of the comments. You have no idea how grateful I am for this.

  • Chris from Riverside, California.

  • Great perk idea. I love the show and I always root for Andrea and Luke in the games :) Thanks for all your work Rodney!

    - Adam, currently in Newport News, VA, USA.

  • Unboxing is fun. Keep doing it! Btw have you contacted developers? I know I'd pay you to play my game when it is done.

  • @DayInDaLife I may eventually do this. For now I am focusing on games I know that you will be able to buy. However, as we move forward and find new ways to add in more episodes, this is something I would certainly consider. Developers - get in touch with me!

  • Yomi is awesome. It might feel random for new players... However, just like fighting video games, once you learn the strengths/weaknesses/combos for the different characters, the real strategy begins to shine.

  • @GeckoTH I agree completely. Excellent analogy too. It would be a mistake to dismiss this game after a few plays. There are very interesting and calculated things going on in this game, especially when you wacth experienced players play.

  • The Smiths are the best thing to happen to gaming since Avalon Hill published "Dune"! Thanks so much for all your hard work!!!

    Jaret Morgan - Rochester, NY

Sweet! I can't wait to see Yomi. I know my teen daughter would love it for the artwork (she's a huge Anime fan and she loves pandas). Have you let the kids pick a game to showcase? I think that would be a good perk for them as well as the map.

  • Very cool idea Rodney. Most fun board game videos on the internet. And yes, the kids rock, although you make a good host/straight man. :D --Joe in Columbus, OH

    Nikolaas, Belgium, city Bruges

  • Mario from Medellín Colombia!!! Honestly I've been thinking about buying summoner wars I'm excited to see the playthrough...for other hand flash duel is the kind of games I can play with my girlfriend ^_^

  • Also, when publishers start sending you too many games to play on the show as a multi-video series, it might be good to just make one video (split into a few for longer games) of you playing together. A lot of us wish we had the chance to play games before we buy them, so a video playthrough is the next best thing. I love the interactive playthroughs, but having even more playthroughs (in the form of uninteractive) can't hurt since nobody is doing that in the board game review world.
