Tru dat. Basically VAIO = Apple, Their both similar in that they overprice their products but usually have really good build quality.

Have any of you actually owned a Sony laptop? I have, and the machine is flawless. Blazing fast and gets me compliments every time I'm out and about with it. At least try them out at the store before you pre-judge.

don't know. I go for the 13" ultra portables. My Sony Z plays Fallout 3 without a hitch though. And it looks fine on a thirteen inch screen.

sony z definitely plays well its got the best specs compared to other vaios. I just got the sr series and played counterstrike on it. It runs really well with good graphics. But the computer gets kind of warm. Im assuming it does that too for the Z series when u play games ?

It doesn't feel too hot when I'm playing games. The sony Z never produces much heat.

13 inch is too small. Its so much better playing on a bigger screen :D. I had to get the 15.4 inch from asus since the Sr was only 13 inch.

But you can use your Sony Z and connect it to an external monitor :D

Sony vaio fw series. its 16.4 inches but has a 512mb video graphics card. also has a bluray player standard with 1080p resolution. about $1100 u.s

Although I'm a sony fan (got it from my mother's side) from TVs to custom made sofas with a sony logo on them, one thing i really hate from sony is the utterly crap Vaio. Sorry but the Vaio range are overpriced (most things from sony are overpriced) the price you pay for, u only get back through the looks coz the performance is as shit as....shit. Other makes beat them at a fraction of that price.
