the intercooler is under the supercharger and cools the air after it has entered the supercharger and before it enters the cylinder. after it is compressed by the supercharger it needs to be cooled due to heat soak
@oilfield666 i wouldnt know,i have been working on this car since 2001.i work in the construction field,there is alot of hot summers with plenty of blood and sweat in this project
@chriskcon82 good work...pretty tall engine for a stang tho.... look cooler with a couple of turbos popping out rather then s/c imo..... i believe alot of work went into this car, v6 cars wernt very equipped when it came to supporting parts to handle the power....not sure about your year but the 05 up had a dinky 7.5inch diff. smaller rotors, spring rate wasnt correct for v8. if its going fast it better handle and be capable of slowing down when you see the 5 0
@chriskcon82 since the supercharger and some of the intake is on the outside why didnt you go ram air? you would have saved the money from having a intercooler and what not

I do admit, she is definately pretty. I wish you would paint it and post shows going down the track.
i didnt know it was that cheap, i got a 97 v6 i swaped every thing over from a 98 gt and the pats was pissin me off but i swaped the pats box 'its under the driver side dash' and i swaped the ign lock cyl so that every thing matched, and it worked. but now i have a nice 2000 v6 shell that want a 5.4 swap but i dont know what i need besides a gt harness and ecu but all the other ''electronics stuff'' is what i need to know oh was the v6 fuel system the same as the gt

Dude...seriously take all that ugly stuff off...The body kit, mirrors, painted interior...This car deserves a clean exterior and interior for real, the car just doesn't have the body lines to flow with "body kits"... Now minus the cosmetic and rocket ship gauges, you have the power and ground set up for a quick stang.

everthought of trading the lighting blower for one from a terminator? yeah it will hang through a stock hood, ontop of the 5.4, but the intake goes from the back, and would look alot cleaner, and with a 2 inch hood, it would be hidden and a sleeper.

dude i hope u know that u have to pull the axles for a rear whell drive care to b towed like that. It can fuck up ur tranny & or axle seals. Ask any good tow truck guy & the will tell you the same. Car dolly's will fuck rwd cars up.
well if the car was an auto you might have to pull the driveshaft depending on how you pull it, but its not so you dont have to, and if you pull the axles how the hell is the car going to roll due to the fact the the tires bolt to the axles.

The reason I asked is I m putting in a 5.4 (non lighting) engine with a Lightning supercharger... I m just curious if there were many tunning issues?

yes there were tuning issues it would crank up and idle but the a/f way way off,in that video it is running but if you notice its on a car dolly,i was pulling out the yard going to take it to the dyno,but thats it at idle un tuned in this video,i would love to see the supercharger remachined that sounds bad ass, i just had mine ported,im going kenne bell 2.8 in a few months,by the way the car how it sits in this video made 615 torque 512 hp at the flywheel on the same day
Also.. I ve had the super charger remachined, the intake goes into the back instead of the top.. if your interested in anything like that shoot me a PM and I ll send you some progress pics...

everthought of trading the lighting blower for one from a terminator? yeah it will hang through a stock hood, ontop of the 5.4, but the intake goes from the back, and would look alot cleaner, and with a 2 inch hood, it would be hidden and a sleeper.

dude i hope u know that u have to pull the axles for a rear whell drive care to b towed like that. It can fuck up ur tranny & or axle seals. Ask any good tow truck guy & the will tell you the same. Car dolly's will fuck rwd cars up.
