@JonasPolsky Hawaii actually has a huge Japanese/American population and japan provides more tourist for the sate outside of the rest of the US so it is possible. Going on that it could be that they were only greeting like that because it was a Japanese customer and had they been American they would have greeted differently, though I'm just speculating.
