I have seen friends freeze these, put in the swamp muck, buried, shot by other guns, not cleaned or lubricated, completely abused and still fire. As long as you don't shoot it like a fag it will still perform. Seen it with my own eyes. I trust my life to it, how much is that worth?

What is any of that supposed to do to harm the gun? That just scratches up the exterior which, in any case with proper firearms, shouldn't effect it's firing at all. Also you dropped the thing 500ft over soft, farming soil. That toy's plastic parts would have most likely broke apart if it were concrete so it doesn't really prove that much...other than it's exterior damage does not, in fact, disable it's firing mechanism...which it shouldn't anyway.
Hmm, and I was actually concerned when I dropped the slide to my G17 on the concrete floor of the garage. Sweated over it, cleaned and examined it for cracks, dents, fired it and then I concluded it was fine. Then i see this video.

I had a lot of gunsmithing done to it and there some things it still wouldn't feed, at that time a popular round was the Speer 200 grain wide mouth hollow point. Mine would not feed those so I didn't use them. And although it was a stainless gun, just walking through the woods with the pistol holstered during a heavy fog would cause rust to appear in an hour.
I'm a 1911 guy at heart, I believe there's no pistol better...but you will NEVER see me knocking a glock (haha that rhymes) they are absolutely fantastic guns especially for the money you pay, you get so much gun for $600 as a matter of fact the only things I've got against them are the grip angle and the case they come in...are they still doin that tupperware shit? lol

Hmm, and I was actually concerned when I dropped the slide to my G17 on the concrete floor of the garage. Sweated over it, cleaned and examined it for cracks, dents, fired it and then I concluded it was fine. Then i see this video.

@viper100290 its not like they dropped it in a random field. I guarentee they knew the person that owned it and they knew it was being dropped, therefore their kids did as well. Besides this is America, a lot of kids grow up around guns, so they know not to be stupid with them

@SgtDrippy Factory, yes. There is actually a conversion kit to turn the full size 45 (I can't remeber which model that is) into a 50 cal. I don't recommed it though, its not made by Glock and it might blow up in your face.

@gmz7105 The best pistol in the world. Period. If John M. Browning were still alive, he'd say "I can't believe that so many people still use this dinosaur design." Even JMB said that the Browning Hi Power was an improvement over his 1911 design. If Browning would stop making the HP with that incredibly horrible trigger-pull!!!!!!!!!! My first handgun was a Colt 1911 in .45 ACP. Fantastic gun, but it did have its share of problems. Now I have Glocks and S&W revolvers.

i have a 23, best damn gun I've ever known or owned. I've owned everything from a 1911 to the fn 5.7. nothing beats that damn glock though. shoots the .40 S&W, one of the most versital rounds ever, and all glocks are durable and reliable. It tells you something when Military Leaders, Generals, and VIP's around the world carry glocks in combat zones. they dump the m9's on the grunts

@smokinggun1987 I have never fired a 5.7. I would like to though. I don't believe there is anything wrong with a Beretta. I think that most of the complaints about them would go away if the military used factory magazines and something other than ball ammo. I don't give a damn about some kind of accord or treaty. The enemy that we face today has no honor and they follow no kind of treaty or agreement. What we have today is a no holds barred fight to the death and anything goes. That's my 2 cents

The best sidearm ever invented ! I was in the military when they first hit the market and as the world knows it simply changed everything. I was shocked when I saw a 1911 fail a simple mud test.
there are a few diehard 1911 fans still around but they are usually
living in denial of the fact that Glocks are far superior
to their weapon of choice. Each and every time they test 1911's they
fail and are embarased compared to a Glock. Ever notice there are

@Glassblower718 Excellent post. My first gun was a Colt 1911 in .45 ACP. It was a series 80 gun. That gun never failed me. I had a lot of gunsmithing done to it and there some things it still wouldn't feed, at that time a popular round was the Speer 200 grain wide mouth hollow point. Mine would not feed those so I didn't use them. And although it was a stainless gun, just walking through the woods with the pistol holstered during a heavy fog would cause rust to appear in an hour.

I'm a 1911 guy at heart, I believe there's no pistol better...but you will NEVER see me knocking a glock (haha that rhymes) they are absolutely fantastic guns especially for the money you pay, you get so much gun for $600 as a matter of fact the only things I've got against them are the grip angle and the case they come in...are they still doin that tupperware shit? lol
