  • beautiful song..hope that Hmong people will keep their culture for centuries to come. Once lost , cannot be recovered....DON"T be a lost tribe of china, please.

  • Oh my gosh!! is the guy visiting singing the song??? kool!!! and ur rite...he is hot!!! ahahaha!!!

  • dayem he sounds hot! lol even thouh I can't understand wat he's saying

  • its Dong, not Miao.. and the language is in mandarin.

  • I can't even understand it...i want too!!! so badly...

  • hi, where did you buy all video from and what site carry them?

  • hmong people are different from chinese....do we speek the same dialect ( no) dumbass... where different ethnic groups so dont say where chinese when where not...

  • @tribesking

Does Chinese speak the same dialect? Chinese includes 56 minorities, which is by itself just a gross term, the "Miao" minority consists of different groups of people with their own identities, like Hmong.

You are pretty dumb, the ass part is for being rude.

  • @howthefukdougetanid

o... thanks how wonderful lol... no we speak different dialects although we might sound the same depending on the group... but miao / hmong in china speak more of a chinese accent due to living in china with chinese.....srry for being rude its becausesome people are to ignorant to see things in open mind....just to get them mad lol....

  • @tribesking

What is Chinese? Tell me about 10 languages "Chinese" speak. Chinese is just a gross name about people from China, even among the dominant Han majority there are many different dialects and people. If you interchange "Han" with "Chinese" then there is some support for your claims.

I am being patient, because I see the value of telling others who are seeing this, besides telling a dumb and self righteous person.

  • @howthefukdougetanid

what claims?... chinese speak in different tones then other languages but have couple different dialects...your funny?...

  • The singer isn't even Hmong, but Dong (Kam), a Tai speaker.

  • Miao people coexisted with Han for most part of China, most of them were assimilated into Han like other tribes to become what is Chinese today. Just like you Hmong or Miao or whatever who become Americans or Thais or whatever today.

The Miaos of today are the ones who chose to perserve their identity and culture over time. Anybody wants to continue this "Chinese" vs "Hmong" thing we can debat this on this thread.

  • @howthefukdougetanid

Hmong from SE Asia have not become Americans, Thais, Lao, or whatever today. Though the Hmong disapora have taken us to these countries and others throughout the world, we are still Hmong. We still speak our native language and practice our customs and culture except for those who personally chose not to.

I cannot speak for the Miao of China as there are too many groups with their own dialect, customs, and culture. We still call them our brethens regardless.

  • ok, everyone watching this video is confused. he is not singing in Hmong. he is singing in Mandarin Chinese. all you have to do is look at the subtitles and listen to the words. I know this because I know a little bit of Mandarin.

  • Yes the singer is definitely not singing in Hmong or of a Miao dialect. As a matter of fact if any of it were in Hmong or Miao, not only myself, but some Western Hmong would be able to tell. The vocals are in Mandarin which is the primary language throughout mainland China. Bare in mind there are several dialects of Mandarin from East to West. Cantonese is mainly spoken in Taiwan and Hong Kong according to a college Hong Konger friend.

  • wow i;m a hmong american and i can't believe it. i actually understand them.... this is so cool

  • @foodlover86 What are they saying? I can't seem to pick anything out??...:/

  • even though I'm Hmong but I don't even understand any single word they say.

  • @1001096275 This isn't in Hmong. LOL.

  • Do you know who sing this song?

  • I meant the guy singing. Ayoudou is the original singer? THanks.

  • acutally its not ayouduo, lol. the guy singing i don't know his name.

  • oh. Okay. Thanks anyways. Love the music video and the music!

  • man hope to visit this place next year... when i watch these mv make me miss home land very much...

  • Zoo nkauj ua luaj! their land is gorgeous and their culture is preserved and presented so carefree, yet so elegant.

  • This song is not just about Miao. It is about Miao minority village and Dong minority village. People with different ethnicity live harmonously with each others in China. You can see that their culture are kept well and alive. Stop accusing the Han Chinese for mistreating the Miao people. There are so many famouse Miao singers who are national treasure from China on youtube. Do you oversea Hmong have that many famous Hmong singers?

  • when the Han Chinese rule the country china. they adopt restriction law applied to people speak mandarin only, if anybody speak other language will get kill. I wonder this effected our people dialect.

What kind of BS is this? If that's the case, why are there so many Miao people and famous Miao singers in China? Stop spreading this kind of rumors!

  • wait do they speak hmong, or chinese? dude this is confusing.

  • when the Han Chinese rule the country china. they adopt restriction law applied to people speak mandarin only, if anybody speak other language will get kill. I wonder this effected our people dialect.

  • aye that makes sense >.> i was pondering about miao and hmong and why they're separate. gosh i need to relearn my own history XD

  • You are full of shit. If that is the case what are Cantonese people speaking? Taiwanese and Hokyanese speaking? How about Hokka?

I am Chinese but also a Cantonese, people like you are just sick, you represent the idiots who don't know jack or care about culture, people, and history and speak like you do through fabrication, like pesticite only thing you want is hatred.

  • omg. the eating scene [1:10] .. just like hmong. lol.

i really do wish hmong men and women can eat like this at the same table at parties instead of the women having to wait for the men to finish eating first.

  • Same here, but honestly it depends on the family because both sides of my family eats at the same time, no matter what

  • really? that's pretty awsome then. ^_~

  • that's because he's singing in chinese

  • Thank for sharing. Love it.
