otherwise you get little rules like "NO SOLAR GLITCH ALLOWED" forcing people to avoid the bonus altogether during the boss fight and that sucks :(

I felt bad since all the other scores there remained the same, so I took the 999 down and put my old score of 237 back up.

I don't really want people to think that they have to do this boring, lame method of scoring whenever they get to Solar, or if they wanted to incorporate it in a Total Hits run, which would be even worse since they'd have to get 999 every time they wanted to improve their total score.

Also, it's very cheap, don't you think?

I don't see how it's cheap. If the game lets you do it, then I don't see a reason not to. A few hours is a small price to pay for such a crazy score.

I'm probably going to get 999 points myself and then submit it to Cyberscore sometime, so you may as well too. If they accepted stelzig's 10,000 Cruel Melee and SW's 100 million All-Star scores in SSBM, they darn well better accept this. =P

well, it's basically just choosing whatever score you want, regardless of your skill level. like, you could have virtually no practice on solar ever, but still get 999 hits. it's basically no competition, because everyone ever will have 999 if they tried this trick.

@zallard1 I don't think it's cheap, if it works it works. Imo something is only cheap if it gives the max possible score with virtually no effort.

Also just an FYI, I recently spent over 400 hours maxing out All-Star with the Ice Climbers in Super Smash Bros Melee (accomplished by repeating a simple 3-button combo over a million times), and Cyberscore accepted it. I'm planning on doing this on Solar myself at some point, so if you don't add it I at least will. =P

Like, look at the top of the parabola, then draw a straight line down to the lava; that's where you fire.

It's acceptable, though if you can, try to get a picture of a teammate saying something that they don't ever repeat next time.

You don't need to delete the save file, but why do you think that score would count at N64HS when my description says it wont?

The WR for Solar is 261, and proving it usually means someone has video proof, or someone took pictures of before and after the boss fight (to show the difference is only 11 points)

The 999/511 Solar score is just a novelty, and isn't taken seriously at N64HS, so the short answer is no.
