My MKV GTi when it had just GIAC software and Forge Diverter Valve would pull my buddies R32 from a roll. From a dig is tough, but still pulled on him 2nd thru 4th gear. Now with a bigger turbo it's not even close.

Either I'm mistaken or that Silver Gti as it states here is actually an R32. I only say this because of the front/rear bumper are R32 spec, the grill has a R32 badge and it has the same stock dual exhaust as the R32. As well, it appears to have the 18" Aristo rims that come stock on an R32. Guy might have done a full swap tho, I'm just curious.

@lanlug these cars are not automatic, the mk4 R32, to my knowledge was only made in a 6 speed manual transmission. nd the other GTI just listen and observe, he is shifting. are you that puzzled you need more than 1 question mark?

@speacialperson12345 if you'll take r32 2008 then the only available transmission for it 6-spd auto-shift man w/OD ( you can switch gears by using CVT or using auto-manual shift) but it still an automatic tranny and auto-man and 6-spd auto-shift man w/OD and auto-man 6-spd man w/OD for GTI ( if you'll take different years then you can find manual tranny for GTI but not for r32 ))) you have to learn more about those two car before writing any comments )))

@lanlug this R32 is the 04, which is the 6 speed. the 2004 R32 is a 6 speed manual, ive seen them in person, as well as the 20th anniversary.

the 03 20th anniversary 1.8 turbo has 180HP

the Vr6 GTI has 200HP

the R32 has 240HP

The mk5 (2008) R32 is only available in an automatic DSG transmission.

Every type of GTI (except for the 08 R32 is available in a manual as well as automatic, but i would not get auto i would get the manual.)

The R32 in THIS VIDEO is manual its the 04 mk4 R32.
