LOL. Modern conservatives were nothing like people during WWII. Those people didn't whine about taxes, many volunteered for service. They didn't complain about rationing. They were far more socialist than we are now.

Well nobodies perfect. We're all a little selfish or even foolish on occasion. But screw the partisanship, we should all collectively care for one another economically and otherwise-without these cheap political shots. Although I manage my own small company (catering) I still manage to contribute to those less fortunate in my community, rather they agree with me, are just like me racially-or not. & Unlike Fox, Media Matters knows we'll call out any misinformation, respectful of our intelligence.

@ksm1031 America is the most generous nation on the planet and it's not all one sided.
As for Media Matters I really don't see they "correct" anything. They mostly incite their followers to call other names. They also produce these mostly out of context videos that look as thpough 12 year olds put them together.

@hydin1 No I will take up for him here because he has a point. Media Matters really amounts to squat. I still think it's a place where they train people in spin. Especially here on YouTube where they can do it more freely out of sight of the media who watches the main site. They have no stones there and won't debate. The videos are cobbled together out of context trash just like this one.

@drhu I know the context, but you've apparently not been able to read between the lines. What do conservatives mean when they say they want "smaller government"? They want to get rid of entitlements like SS and Medicare! They want to fully privatize or otherwise get rid of them, even though we've been paying into them our entire adult lives... If that's what you support, so be it, but don't expect most Americans to be on board with that.
