Hi, why is it that when i go to stream my quality gets degraded and doesnt go for more that 16 fps? how to i change that? and thanks for last response.
@TripleDDDVideos It will work... but give me a few more days to post my new set up. It still uses the PVR but I believe this is the robust setup everyone (including myself) has been looking for. Should have the new vid up in a week tops.
@majinyuusuke Yes... I am actually putting together a new video that shows off the new rig I am running with. Includes a mixer and this is what places your audio in line with your stream.
Hi i love your videos. could you please link me to the software to run the HD PVR on the mac, im really desperate so when you see this message could you please reply!
Man GREAT video... Thanks a lot! I just got a macbook and wasn't sure what I would need to use my HD pvr with the macbook. Looks easy enough. I have another question for you. If you wanted to upload to youtube but add a song to the background how would you do that with iMovie? Or would i need to download another piece of software? Thanks again, good tutorial.
@MrTeiV Sorry, it does not support hdmi. And yes you can. Sometimes the speed will be a little slower but you can. Sinner records is gameplay to a external hard drive wireless through his router which is attached to his external hdd
hey dude i was wondering, i have a turtle beach headset so if i purchase the HD PVR my cables from my xbox 360 go to my turtlebeach headset, can i still connect it to my HD PVR as well?
My school let me borrow their iMac for the rest of this school year, I'm wondering if this will work for the iMac, this is a OLD imac though. At school we've got the newest with AE CS5.5 which I plan on editing with, so I plan on recording onto Final Cut Express(This mac) Then taking it to school and editing on the good mac. Is this possible?
@TheRealDealFarcy The software is no longer free, it now costs $30. Other than that (which has changed since he made this video), everything else he says is to be followed to the letter and is still very current information.
I want to not only record videos but do some commentary while im playing them. In your opinion, what is the most efficient way of tackling this problem.
@KornRow35 My buddy uses two headsets... one plugged right into his computer for a direct audio line in. I hear this can be tackled with a mixer as well. I have yet to attempt this although I as well would love to find the perfect low cost solution.
@TheGreatOne222 1. The problem with your settings is that you cant play in 1080p using components cables. You require HDMI. To avoid the lag and connection issues I am forced to play in 720p. 2. Did you set your audio to line in?
2 questions can i record videos if i dont have a high def t.v and also if i get a high def. t.v what cable do i need to connect the hdpvr to my hd t.v.
@TheGamersPulseV2 I have a pc, so is it called TotalMediaExtreme for us? Because i have a 1280 x 720 TV. But i play xbox in 480p...but yet the file on pc is HD... idk lol
Please can someone help me. I bought the HD PVR today and did everything on this video and the quality isn't very good at all. My email is salamito140@yahoo.com. Email me if you can help. I will let you know all my settings. and everything but i need help because the quality isnt up to par.
@TheGamersPulseV2 Thanks again but i have a problem with the Streaming. It is very bad quality and really just unwatchable. ( i have the same applications you have.) what settings would you suggest i might have messed up on, Or just things that might make it bad quality . Thanks for you reply
@CodVariant2 Actually... I have the link posted below. Here it is: thegamerspulse . c o m / images / stream_settings . jpg Just get rid of the spaces as YouTube wont let me post the actual link.
Great tutorial, i do have a small issue , what is the best frame rate , bitrate and screen size to stream with to avoid lag while streaming? i have a mac book pro and a hdpvr as well.. thanks
@urbantop10s The best thing for me to do is share with you my settings for FlashMediaLiveEncoder. Follow this link which is a screen shot of my settings. Mirror those and you'll have the best looking stream. Lag will be determined by your upstream. Trust there will always be some lag. You need one massive setup with unlimited upstream to make an actual LIVE stream in HD.
The instant streaming lags, but does the capture? For instance, as soon as you hit capture will it grab exactly what is on the TV? or will the capture itself lag as well, cause thatd blow
@TheGamersPulseV2 Right but then you can go in and edit what you've captured, didnt really think about that. I got an eyetv hd for about 130 btw and thats working fine
So I did everything in this video and when I go to stream on Justin.Tv the quality is unbelievably terrible, any idea why? What are your results when streaming on JTV?
When you stream, is the quality of the stream nice and smooth? Also what are the specs of your Macbook Pro. I get poor results when I attempt this setup. Great Video and Thanks in advance.
@SerbiaVlog You "could" bypass the route back to your TV and attempt to play off the VLC monitor on your Mac however there will be an incredible amount of lag which I think would make gaming impossible. If you watch my video you can get an idea of the lag time as I moved the joystick and it took about 10 seconds for that action to show on my VLC monitor. There may be a solution to this, but I think it would involve significant degradation in video quality.
i hear there is a mac program called eyetv that records all your gameplay but also when your not recording it will always keep a recording of you last 30 seconds. what im wondering is there another program that can do this on windows
@KILJaden35BETA I looked into the eyetv but I do not believe it would allow playing and recording in HD... I could be wrong but I am almost positive this is why I passed on that solution. As for Windows solutions... I do not know but I will get Buttclown to reply as he uses the Hauppauge in a Windows environment.
@TheGamersPulseV2 yeah i think i got the wrong program but its more the whole delayed recording thing im interested in so i dont have to record constantly
