I don't much care about the gun laws in Canada. I don't even care if the bring back all the guns that have been banned or ban all guns. Now for my reasons:
Guns can be used for self defense depending on the range of the person. If he is right in front of you (arm length) that person can grab your gun and use your gun against you (very possible according to self defense instructors). Guns have been a prob. (mostly handguns (perhaps 90%) for gun violence in Canada. Full autos are the most deadly.
Shooting guns can be fun out on the range and/or hunting. Hunting is easier (in my opinion) with firearms. Even full autos are fun to shoot.
So overall, in my opinion, I wouldn't care if the Can. Gov. changed the gun laws to ban or bring back guns. People will be arguing on the gun laws forever.

BTW the AR in AR-15 stands for "ArmaLite", the company that designed them. To be considered and Assualt Rifle, a gun needs to 1) be a rifle and 2) be capable of burst or automaic fire, which makes it useful in ASSAULTS hece the name. Unless you sporterize it (which is very illegal) the AR-15 is semi-auto.

@TheSmokeTube thanks for your views about canadians. Actually, according to canadian law, Automatic Glocks are illegal, so is an AR-15 auto. For most nato calibers and even 7.62s, the law here says that the auto should be pinned to a max of 5, while the ones being sold at SureShot were unlocked and that's a serious crime according to the gun laws of Canada. You can search for the CFSC books to learn more about Canadian Firearms Safety laws.

Full autos are legal in some american states as long as you pass an extensive background check and pay a big fee to get the license for it. Why I don't mind the government banning guns:
Guns can be used for self defense depending on the range of the person. If he is right in front of you (arm length) that person can grab your gun and use your gun against you (very possible according to self defense instructors). Guns have been a prob. (mostly handguns (perhaps 90%) for gun violence in Canada. Full autos are the most deadly.

Shooting guns can be fun out on the range and/or hunting. Hunting is easier (in my opinion) with firearms. Even full autos are fun to shoot.

BTW the AR in AR-15 stands for "ArmaLite", the company that designed them. To be considered and Assualt Rifle, a gun needs to 1) be a rifle and 2) be capable of burst or automaic fire, which makes it useful in ASSAULTS hece the name. Unless you sporterize it (which is very illegal) the AR-15 is semi-auto.

For most nato calibers and even 7.62s, the law here says that the auto should be pinned to a max of 5, while the ones being sold at SureShot were unlocked and that's a serious crime according to the gun laws of Canada. You can search for the CFSC books to learn more about Canadian Firearms Safety laws.

Full autos are legal in some american states as long as you pass an extensive background check and pay a big fee to get the license for it. Like when I was walking home late & 2 guys mugged me a .38 snub nose with hollow points would have been a good equalizer. Or when my friend was stabbed 3 times & died a gun would have been good. Or when my other friend got shot in the face, or when my Argentinian friend got stabbed in the neck arm & stomach a gun would have been good. I could tell you more. Guns save lives!

I can give you that one. But one thing everyone has to know is you cannot always depend on a gun. if somehow athe guy gets the gun out of your hand (this is very possible is he is close enough), what are you going to do then?
btw, All approx. 35,000,000 Canadian's are saying Americans love guns and violence. You see, we Canadian's are very surprised to see so much graphic violence on TV From the U.S. Most of which are starting to think Americans like war since you didn't seem to miss any.

Lol US television is war more censored than our television, and most Canadians who "think" Americans love violence (let alone think that approximately 35 mil Canadians do) are ignorant and un-educated to the subject. (as I can attest for you, by the look at ALL your posts on this page)
