I use an external stereo mic to the camera, not the on-board mic. It's a condensor mic, so that makes it more sensitive.

Yes. There is Guy Van Duser's arrangement in standard tuning key of A and this adaptation available in Open G. The 7-string version is a little easier to play with extra open low C, but the Open G version is okay too.
