Good news for Amiga fans! A new REAL Commodore Amiga is in the works and will be available soon. Why settle for a wanna-be-Amiga by some fly by night operation when you can have the real thing from Commodore? For more info just visit commodoreusa d o t net!
@DanielChristy19, as of today the beta testers who paid lots of money back in October for their beta X1000 boards still haven't received them. Sounds like a scam by your own definition.
@bphutchins, yeah its simple if you want retro-commodore models that don't even run an amiga operating system then choose commodoreusa. alternatively if you want to support the real amiga community then buy a sam440 or sam460 from acube-systems of italy. or finally buy the amiga x1000 from a-eon technology when it becomes available. I suspect DanielChristy19 is involved with that tragic commodoreusa forum site that is pure trash.
The X1000 is just a hoax. It was supposed to have been released back in Summer. After VCF they started showing a printed paper picture of the X1000 motherboard mounted in a case at shows. Then A-eon came up with a beta pre-sale program and announced that would begin in November. November came and no beta boards but A-eon started taking money. Now it's the end of November and the beta people have heard no word from A-eon. Starting to look very, very scammy!
@bphutchins, yes this a different company called A-eon. They don't have anything to do with the original Amiga at all really, and the system they are pitching here is not compatible with the old Amiga software.
To quote a bad actor, "All we have is mouthful of Greek salad...a bunch of fancy terms that don't mean a thing." They can discuss chips forever, but chips are only as good as what can be done with them, and, so far, all they have is a bouncing ball and "Quake II." I'm afraid I can't do much with either. They need a modern "Shadow of the Beast" equivalent at the real launch (a killer app. or two can go a long way). Wait and see...
Sorry, I thought they were actually going to reuse this theme song for the new machine. Thankfully, I made a bad assumption. Still, that being said, I hope they have thought out an aggressive long term business strategy. Perhaps, in time, this new Amiga breed can achieve some success in a niche market. Whether it grows beyond that remains to be seem. They may have reinvented the Amiga, but I hope that they haven't recreated Commodore in the process. Guys, best of luck.
I fondly remember the original Commodore Amiga and wish this new incarnation the best of luck; however, that song ,"Only Amiga," reveals the marketing ineptness that plagued machine during its halcyon days. Don't get me wrong-- I like a hefty slice of cheese once in a while, but that new jingle has the double offensiveness of moldy Limburger. I mean, come on, what's next? William Shatner doing Amiga karaoke? They need some aggressive marketing; otherwise, the next Amiga number will be a dirge
sorry if I caused confusion, I just put the audio from the Only Amiga Song video on top of this video because it kind of fitted and thought it be a bit of fun.
Sorry again. I thought this was an Aeon promotional video. At the time, I thought they launched the new machine. But after reading the forums and watching the other videos, I realized that the launch never happened. Overall, I'm not sure what to make of this machine. Nobody asked important questions about development or software. A question like, "Who's going to be the next Psyngnosis?" would certainly be relevant. (Continued...)

Here's a link to the REAL NEW Commodore Amiga, not some "AmigaOne" wannabe from a company you've never heard of:

I agree, Commodore USA is the real new Amiga, not this European trash from some fly-by-night operation!

C=USA is a scam company that is about at the moment trying to de-rail the X1000 release, but failing at every turn.

So I'm confused, is this a separate company than Commodore USA, who is releasing all of these retro commodore models now?

Music is nice, but belongs to the Classics show.
However, glad that there is a high end Amiga X1000 as A4000T PPC replacement,
even when its not likely I will have due to cost barrier (East Europe here, hello!)
I am still interested in EP440 and 460 pricedrop, and some optimized software for SAMs. Amiga for everyone :-)
