You will also need a power supply as the battery will only last about 2 hours. I use an inverter to go from 12V in the car to 120V, and then just plug the camera's power cable into the inverter. Not the most elegant solution, but it works.
Raynox QC0505 0.5x snap-on super wide-angle lens...about $35. Snaps on to the front of the camera. Run camera in the fixed focal length setting (so it focuses on infinity and has the widest possible angle and does't screw up the picture by changing focus).
32GB High Capacity SD Card (class 6, so it doesn't take forever to download the files from the card)...enables 9 hours at 720p, 60fps...about $75 or less.
what camera did you use and how did you get all the footage? im getting a car ready right now and am wanting to have a camera the whole time and looking at different options right now
Pleasure racing with you too. I will try to include the Jeep in the highlights footage I am putting together...takes a while when you have 16 hours of video to go through. Car appears a bit faster than it really is as these are the slower cars at the back of the field at the beginning Sunday, and a lot of drivers were learning the track in the reverse direction whereas I had raced this direction only two weeks prior.
Wow, I never realized how quick that car really was. Really reinforces my belief that it's time for either more displacement or a turbo for the Jeep. Pleasure racing with you guys (though I noticed you cut out any footage of the Jeep, lol) -TeamPettyCash
There's a boat on the track
