it's from the Groove Essentials 2.0 dvd and book. I can't remember the groove #. I think it's 84. Not sure though. I'm only up to the mid 50's myself! Incredible book and DVD.
no i saw him a few weeks ago at a clinic he was doing in johnson city,tn. his drums were unmiced. the evans heads on them sounded great..... he had an emad2 or emad on the bass drum it was just hitting me straight in the chest. i am going to switch from remo to evans.
tommy did not act arrogantly at the clinic i went to. 1 ply heads are great but have a lot of overtone. so many use 2 ply for a deeper sound and less overtone. they are also more durable. It just depends what you like. I think overall evans project more than remo but sound boxier than remo. I also think 2 ply heads are best for toms and 1 ply for snare and kick.
Tommy Igoe is the most humble musician met. I've seen him many times and he's gracious and generous everytime. He's also brutally honest , doesn't lie to students and calls it as he sees it. I find that refreshing, some find it arrogant. I was at the clinic at AIM and I remember him saying that everyone in the room was trying to be a pro, he was going to treat them like pros. He was also sick as hell that day, remember? He could barely breathe or talk but still didn't cancel. I admire that.
If this is anything like number 1 which it looks like it will be then we are all in for a treat. Tommy is one of the baddest cats, make sure you dont pass up a chance to see him in clinic.
He's one of the baddest on the planet. Search his name on youtube. He's got tons of vids with his own band, I've watched them all about 500 times. Groove Essentials is his teaching stuff.
Groove Essentials is my favorite drum video by far. I just got this one and it's even better than the first one if that's possible. Harder songs and grooves. There is so much information that I can't believe it's only 25 bucks.
no man, what i've meant there was i've finished watching the 1st one, haha and hell no about endure i don't even have the coordination and enough cymbals to play it.
I have the 2.0 book already. It's amazing, it's not even a book, it's more than that. I'm listening to the tracks on my ipod like they are regular songs, that's they incredible they are. Any serious drummer is going to want it.
