  • @TheInterSpire yeah, it's groove 84

  • what's is the track/song called?

  • Awesome track! wish I had it...

  • just listening to this track makes me want to buy for his cd at this time ( and its 12 am)

  • He change to Evans Heads?

In the first DVD he use Remo or he just change the endorsement?

  • wonderful piano track, does anyone know what song is that?

  • it's from the Groove Essentials 2.0 dvd and book. I can't remember the groove #. I think it's 84. Not sure though. I'm only up to the mid 50's myself! Incredible book and DVD.

  • 84 is correct

  • its groove 84

  • le groove est génial et piano..woah DU GRAND ART ^^

  • Does anybody know what # groove this is? Thanks

  • 6/8 I guess.

  • i like this jam

  • I think he should have stuck playing with Remo Drumheads

  • no i saw him a few weeks ago at a clinic he was doing in johnson city,tn. his drums were unmiced. the evans heads on them sounded great..... he had an emad2 or emad on the bass drum it was just hitting me straight in the chest. i am going to switch from remo to evans.

  • tommy did not act arrogantly at the clinic i went to. 1 ply heads are great but have a lot of overtone. so many use 2 ply for a deeper sound and less overtone. they are also more durable. It just depends what you like. I think overall evans project more than remo but sound boxier than remo. I also think 2 ply heads are best for toms and 1 ply for snare and kick.

  • Tommy Igoe is the most humble musician met. I've seen him many times and he's gracious and generous everytime. He's also brutally honest , doesn't lie to students and calls it as he sees it. I find that refreshing, some find it arrogant. I was at the clinic at AIM and I remember him saying that everyone in the room was trying to be a pro, he was going to treat them like pros. He was also sick as hell that day, remember? He could barely breathe or talk but still didn't cancel. I admire that.

  • you could be right. i just didnt get the answers i was looking for to my questions afterwards. i didn't get a good vibe.

  • do it...... ec2's are the business! I have glass finish clear and coated with EMAD's

On a PDP MX kit and on My Mapex Saturn. Both Sounds so sweet!!

    JW

  • Con este trailer me ha enganchao... QUIERO EL DVD!!

  • jaja! este mismo groove se me había ocurrido a mi, que satisfacción escucharlo por un maestro!

  • beautiful track

  • Great groove, so tight, fills are spot on.

  • Oh wow, what a great trailer! I wanna run to the store and buy his second DVD after I saw and heard this!

  • thomas pridgen played a groove very similar 2 this at the modern drummer festival

  • i love you!!!

  • sweet, anyone know exactly when this is coming out?

  • If this is anything like number 1 which it looks like it will be then we are all in for a treat. Tommy is one of the baddest cats, make sure you dont pass up a chance to see him in clinic.

  • who is this guy? He's got great feel and technique but I don't recognize him?!

  • He's one of the baddest on the planet. Search his name on youtube. He's got tons of vids with his own band, I've watched them all about 500 times. Groove Essentials is his teaching stuff.

  • haha what IS his name?! :P

  • are you serious. it's right there in the info. Tommy Igoe

  • holy shit! How did I miss that? I always read the vid descr. !! I even looked for it!

  • went to his clinic in auckland loved it....

  • Groove Essentials is my favorite drum video by far. I just got this one and it's even better than the first one if that's possible. Harder songs and grooves. There is so much information that I can't believe it's only 25 bucks.

  • And sweet, perfect rolls at 0:56. Makes it look so easy.

  • this is a must have! i've already finished the 1st one, can't wait to get this.

  • you have finished the first one dude? fuck, i'm only on the the mambo section from the first one...i'm slow i guess.

    you can even play endure?

  • no man, what i've meant there was i've finished watching the 1st one, haha and hell no about endure i don't even have the coordination and enough cymbals to play it.

  • I have the 2.0 book already. It's amazing, it's not even a book, it's more than that. I'm listening to the tracks on my ipod like they are regular songs, that's they incredible they are. Any serious drummer is going to want it.

  • excited for this... his poster in my studio is definitely the first referance to build on when making a groove...

  • OH YEAH! was waiting for it to come! the first groove essential was incredible... can't wait to get a hand on that one :)
