  • Fuck WMG

  • Comment removed

  • ...fuckin EPIC!!!

    Hell Yeah

  • A masterpiece, the one and only from Dimmu Borgir. REAL BLACK METAL. Not for posers.

  • Love the keyboards in this song. Does anyone know any similar sounding bands?

  • @biffen89 Try Burzum (the album Filosofem 1996) or the early albums of Catamenia

  • @biffen89 try the first recordfrom Kovenant, "In times before the light"

  • La meilleure version, pour toujours!!!

  • The best, real, fucking DIMMU BORGIR!!!

  • is better the old version

  • Even though I've stopped listening to Dimmu, everytime I hear a thunderstorm coming I come listen to this song.

  • Where are the Skyrim-comments?

  • @XanaX93 I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee at Trollhome's moudly gate...

  • @XanaX93

I will give you one: I used to be pop star like the most, but then I took black metal in my soul ;)

  • @Dounax I liked this one! ;D

  • the best black metal ever , is a shame they have abandoned this style

  • I prefer the original 96 Version. My youth. crazy shit

  • @deenomat69 I agree with you, this is the best version and ORIGINAL

  • Stormblåst is no doubt my favorite Borgir CD even thuogh i prefer the 2005 version i still love this:D

  • I honestly like the remastered versions and their new sound. They like it more i guess considering they are the band but never forget roots.

  • Why did they record this at such low volume? Damn, their equipment sucks. Manowar is a million times better.

  • @VitalSigns1 lol u gay faggot this is ooooooold

  • @2pac2590 It was released in 1996. It's not that old, albums during that time were louder.

  • @Brandonlym 15 years ago is old enough, my point was that the albums after this did not have bad quality

  • @2pac2590 Oh, I miss interpretted your sentence then. My mistake.

  • @VitalSigns1 Manowar are no where near as good as dimmu, even later dimmu

  • @iamwalkingthec0w I don't think Manowar and Dimmu can be compared. They are totally different.

  • @VitalSigns1 well, at least they created an epic bm album with that shitty equipment... and if you dont like it, then why the fuck are you here? go and be a bitch somewhere else :)

  • Ill bet this song gets girls wet

  • Anything from Death cult armageddon and up is crap

  • Sincerely, I think abrahadabra is theyre best album :)

  • @Metalflamme : What are you on? LOL

  • @Burzum666Arkona right???? Enthrone Darkness Triumphant TOTHEMAX!!! they sucked at puritaical misanthropia or whatever that (fifth album?)ones called

  • wow here they sound like real black metal

  • in my opinion, abra. is a very difficult album .some big moments some worst moments.all in all i love dimmu so i love the musik they do

  • I would love if they would still sing like this.

Would be awesome if they sang this album in English, so I can understand the lyrics.

  • mai fuked god in sorte diaboli and abrahadabra sounds like yustin viver

  • Good old Dimmu

  • it sounds pretty smooth. must be all the DRUGS i'm on atm, cause i'm KOOL like that /:o[ , but i rekon not to bloody shabby. I need to hear more, i seen these blokes in melbourne aus (gaywave) a bit back and rocked the shit out of their moshpit. they sounded nothing like this. heh.

  • me gustan todos los temas de este disco... es genial. lo viejo de esta banda te ambienta a otro lugar, es arteeeeeeeeeeee ... wachin!

  • I love the old dimmu borgir, they ruined everything now i cant listen, its my personal thoughts.

  • One of the bands that ruined black metal. The vocals sound ridiculous and the music is cheeeeeeeeeeeesy... And the piano is so nice:p I will NEVER sink so low and call this "Black metal". Romantic-sym-PHONY gay-metal. Fuck that. I'll go back to my coffin and listen to Darkthrone, Sarcofago and Bathoryyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also thrash records like 1st Necronomicon and Sodom - Obsessed By Cruelty are waaaay blacker than this! They are so fucking awesome I gotta listen to them right now!!!!

  • @cometothesabbat Then go listen to them.. lol and stay off music you hate. poser

  • @PandemicInfektion okay well, maybe poser is going a little far cus you do have some good music on your profile. But if you don't like a video, don't leave a shitty comment unless you want to get trolled yourself.

  • @PandemicInfektion Cool, I'll go and listen to my jazz records:)

  • @PandemicInfektion

I don't blame anyone comparing this to the follow up music .. it is hard to accept to this will turn to that but on the other hand the hall genre of Norse black metal turned upside down with corporate record labels.. managers and big arenas so originality and creativity is now judged by how much will this sell .. I liked the latest album of DB maybe it isn't what I demand but it is good and healthy so the guys are growing and yet working their way out so cut it short folks

  • @cometothesabbat well aren't you just soopur Br00tal??

  • @cometothesabbat well aren't you just soopur Br00tal??

  • @cometothesabbat Without DB many people now wouldn't even have known black metal. You gotta give some props to them.

  • @MetaIhead89 But I don't see the point in all those people knowing about black metal. What good does it do? Those people who need to be spoonfed in order to understand anything doesn't have to know what black metal is. They just misunderstand it anyway and take it to even worse even more laughable levels of stupidity. So now most people think black metal = extreme goth metal? If they can't get into bm by listening to Darkthrone, Burzum and Mayhem, then maybe bm isn't for them.

  • @cometothesabbat But those people who discover black metal through DB can dig deeper in the history of black metal and try old bands like Darkthrone, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, and etc. And how can the mass public even hear about those bands when they are so unknown. That's what is sad but true about black metal. I started listening to death metal and melodic death metal after I listened to Children of Bodom's first 3 albums lol

  • @MetaIhead89 MAYBE it's possible to start liking DB or COF and end up having decent music taste. I stopped listening to bm before they became popular. People started wearing coats and getting very serious and sophisticated. I couldn't stand that. But I started listening to bm again later, mainly 80s (and some early nineties). But I also like some newer bands. Furze, The Deathtrip, Vomitor, Teitanblood and Negative Plane are very good bands today, each having their own style.

  • @cometothesabbat Nice, I don't know any of them but I'll check them out. I like Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, and for symphonic black metal I like Anorexia Nervosa, Sigh, and Shade Empire lol. There are also good unknown bands like Ne Obliviscaris and Martriden.

  • in my personal opinion. silinoz is a way better vocalist then shagrath, but don't get me wrong i still love dimmu's new stuff. but nothing beats the old dimmu.

  • @MrJesus666 For All Tid & the original Stormblast. can't be beat.

  • @EmpyreanFrost OLD!

  • @tokey12345 And?

  • :)

  • @1hallah1 so which do you prefer old or new dimmu?

  • For all saying Abrahadabra sucks, I think some of us can agree that gateways, ritualist, and chess with the abyss are all awesome songs. Bands change. Get over it\m/

  • I love For All Tid. The first time I listened to this I didn't like it(could probably be because I listened on YouTube where the quality isn't always the best) but now this is actually good. Maybe I should buy this album also because I have almost all Dimmu albums. They have developed much in playing and actually in all things from FAT to this.

  • I love the choir thing on 3:50 !! so wonderful

  • when I found this CD at FYE I think I transported my soul to teh frozen winter of Norway and shat myself....

  • @EmpyreanFrost Winter in Norway is suuuper cold

  • best DB album

actually, DB is a perfect example of starting really high and going down with each subsequent release

  • best DB album

  • stormblast and stormblåst is two different words haha

  • 13 DEADMAN

  • I still love the Stormblast Album. It's definetly what's going to be an oldie but goodie in my life. The melodies go by heart and no signs of showing off how bad ass they are. A brilliant album and some kind of real tone to it. Love it!

  • this the only song i think i like of them, i like The progencies oof somethig... idk, but they're no Cradle of Filth

  • they remove the ambience in the 2005 version.

  • i like both versions. this one has more feeling and atmosphere but the new one sounds badass and brutal

  • I'm not really a conservative, but I feel like on Stormblåst and EDT they had this sense of writing melodies that's lost today. Heavy's good too, but there's not enough of those harmonies that nearly make you weep.

  • One of the greatest songs of all time-competing with Motzart, Beethoven, Bach, Chicowski etc.. (sorry about spelling)

  • Stian Aarstad thanks for that keyboard outro....

  • Which albums had this logo and style of music?

  • @ConvertMusic Devil's Path 1996 was the last time they used this logo. I'm guessing this style of Dimmu died along with the old logo. New Dimmu is good too, but nothing beats the old style of any black metal band.

  • Amazing song \m/

  • Comment removed

  • I love dimmu old and New but I think we can all agree that Abrahadabra was the worst album they've released...

  • @doomofmalantai Actually on various sites you can see Abrahadabra got a better rating than In Sorte Diaboli! But AGAIN! We've all got our own opinions of good and bad in the matter, and that it yours! Opinions are like assholes, everyones got one, and they all stink!

  • @GodisDead667 thats some funny shit my dab used to say the thing to my about opinions

  • @GodisDead667 I agree with you on the opinions thing haha. But that aside, In Sorte was kind of weak compared to their other albums save for a few songs. Abrahadabra sounded less "plastic" to me. And it had far more memorable songs. But my favorite album will always be Enthrone Darkness Triumphant.

  • @GodisDead667 I love your comment! :'DD

  • @doomofmalantai "Opinions are like assholes, everyones got one, and they all stink!" EPIC WIN

  • @GodisDead667 oops excuse me, that wonderful sentence was yours :D

  • @GodisDead667 abrahadabra was better musically i think, not much but still better, In Sorte Diabloli was alot of shit with awesome drums.

  • @GodisDead667 I think Abrahadabra got better ratings because it's more mainstream.

  • First Albun, i think Abrahadabra is BEST.. but still..........

  • First Album, i think Abrahadabra is BEST.. but still..........

  • @doomofmalantai On these last albums, Abrahadabra is actually one piece of God... I mean Satan, not so better as these old stuff but it's amazing.

  • @doomofmalantai gateways was a pretty awesome song though :P

  • @doomofmalantai No I actually agree. Abrahadabra was the worst. For ME the biggest fault was Snowy Shaw or whatever his name is doing the"clean vocals" on the record. He sounds like the singer from KoRn after a 9 hour heroin binge with a big dildo up his ass. If they ever re-record Abrahadabrs (like they did Stormblast) I'm sure it will be MUCH better since that guy isn't in the band. Still... they need to bring back Vortex and Mustis. I think Vortex brought a LOT of depth to their sound.

  • @AkashaandAlucard To me For all Tid was their best for sure but since that is nearly impossible to have back, I think the best move they could have mad was to keep Vortex in. His clean vocals were done very well.

  • @doomofmalantai I actually havn't had the chance to listen to all of Abrahadabra. I have a bad habit of every time I feel the need for Dimmu Borgir, I MUST play one of my old favorites, I can say, without a doubt though, that I love the old version of stormblast MUCH bettter than the new one. The new one seems like it's trying to conform too much to current black metal trends, but the old version distiquishes it'self more, ya know?

  • @deathhound7

I agree, stormblast has a very unique feel to it, too much was changed in 2005 version.

  • @doomofmalantai

Truth. The only song I really like on there is "Dimmu Borgir". And even then up until a certain point. It's bullshit what Shagrath and the others did to Vortex and Mustis. Vortex had awesome stage presence and nice vocals and Mustis had some of the best orchestrations I've heard in a band. The only other keyboardist I like better than Mustis is Jonny Maudling from Bal-Sagoth.

  • @doomofmalantai I was so excited for that album, then i got severely dissapointed

  • lol, old Dimmu Borgir? RIP (1994-1998)? Are you fucking kidding me? Have you realized how good Abrahadabra (2010) is???

  • @41184140 no.

    the new album blows

  • @nickisbetterthanyou Well that's your opinion, I thought Abrahadabra was pretty good, obviously Dimmu is not as dark as they used to be, but that doesn't mean their new stuff sucks, it's a new direction they've chosen in their music career, and I for one enjoy the fact that they're still playing music and still entertaining their fans at least! You should feel lucky they havn't disbanded! Besides, if they continously played they're music in this style, I'd get sick of them faster than COB!

  • 13 dislikes, 13 dumbasses

  • I think that shagrath is better singer

  • I'll probably get flamed for this, but I prefer the re-recording.

This one's really good too, though. But I like the 2005 version just a wee bit more.

  • @WolfieboyMachi hey bro fair enough I fckin love them both haha

  • @666PrinceOfDaDark666 I'm 14 and I love this and early darkthrone

  • @stewy1897

who care how old are you?

    poser

  • @EnkiBlackThrasher lol I love how people like you just classify everyone they hate as posers XD

  • @EnkiBlackThrasher and read the comment that I was responding to dumbass

  • @stewy1897

my cock got 30 cm... and?

    poser

  • The best song, on their best album. Strangely, the band wasn't satisfied with it, and re-recorded nine years later. =P

  • Is this Shagrath on vocals or Nagash? I know in the early albums they shared it a bit

  • the past sucks ass!

  • @Hejabonden Did you just say real black metal sucks ass?

  • @stewy1897 dimmu is best now!

  • @Hejabonden XD

  • @Hejabonden I dont whant to live in the past.. I like more the new ones then the old ones but thats just me. sorry my shitie eng I am swedish you now :P

  • I remember, how Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth have been the first Bands, that brought me to Black Metal. Must have been 7 or 8 years old ... Now im 21. It's music, that I still listen to, and never get bored of'. It's "true" Music.

  • @ThanatosVergin o.0 You were listening to Black Metal since you were 7 years old?

  • @RygorMortys Jub. I have seen a Video from Cradle... From the Cradle to Enslave... in the older MTV. And other stuff always. And well, after that I was searching for more. In younger times it was just music I prefered listening to. Now its part of my life. ^^;

  • nice song. thanks for the upload

  • @666PrinceOfDaDark666 A 14yr old who listens to Dimmu? Nice! Check out their previous effort for all Tid. And if you're into Dimmu's old stuff I'd recommend checking out Stormlord, Emperor, or of corse Immortal if you haven't already, or the 90's Moonsorrow Demos, Myrkgrav, Falkenbach, Skyfire, or old Ulver. Keep those influences coming, and keep them horns growing my metal head friend \m/

  • @GodisDead667

You hae great taste in black metal. Where can you find the old Moonsorrow demos? I imagine they are rare as fuck.

  • @Heavymetalgamer28 Hello, thanks! And the Moonsorrow demos are YES!... VERY HARD TO FIND! I was able to get them all through a torrent site a long time ago, can't remember the name of the site :S But I've been lucky finding them a couple times just continuesly searching day to day on Soulseek if you wanna try that? Otherwise, I know other utube users who have posted them here with their channels. Otherwise I definately would have!

  • @GodisDead667

I'll try Soulseek and see if they come up. If you want a physical copy I suggest Ebay but even that is a longshot.

  • @Heavymetalgamer28 Oh I already have all their demos actually, it was hard getting them though yes!. But yes indeed, Ebay would still be a long shot no doubt!

  • back when they were good

  • Before they went to shit.

  • great song!!

  • This song is genius!!!!

    Love it.

  • @Xana, i was thinking the same thing. old Dimmu is pure, beautiful black metal with a hint of symphonic and classical influence. They got popular, made money, increased the production value, so f-ing what?! i thought that was the point of the music industry, to get famous and have people enjoy your music. Dimmu is certainly more symphonic and classical now then back in the day, but still as brutal as ever. to people like @YancyAdan and @rambomoore, you're obviously not very intelligent.

  • @greezey33 puritanical and so on are ok, but the last album to have that black metal sound was spiritual, since puritanical their sound became more mainstream like more industrial. is not bad is just different

  • @greezey33 thanxs MAn I love you man!

  • Why is it so important that a blackmetal band isn't allowed to be popular and succesful? I understand if old Dimmu just sounds better but why are people so insulted because of they have made progress and developed? I like the old stuff but I'd be pretty bored if they, after these years, would still be playing in the same musical style all over and over again. Commercial and popular isn't automatically a bad thing, even if we're talking about black metal.

  • how can a song be both beautiful and brutal? think about it. Dimmu does it and it actually sounds amazing. hail dimmu borgir 1992-2007 R.I.P.

  • One thing about Dimmu Borgir is that one this particular album shagrath did the drumming and the drummer now the singing.

  • tristan rules thank odin i can ask him for adivce on these Master piceces

  • dimmu old material is a gem. now is more than a shit

  • i miss this times..great song...hail old dimmu borgir

  • @eisendorn your damn right, I miss the old Dimuu Borgir, now its all famous fake black metal, HAIL DIMMU BORGIR 1993-1997 albums

  • Who else here has the actual CD of the original album?

    It's a great feeling.

  • @DagosZeta I have the original Stormblast album with the cd case, it is a great feeling to have the true Dimmu Borgir, ETERNAL HAILS!!!

  • @DagosZeta Have it, and I've had it since 1996. What's more interesting (to me) is that I have all their original CD's, including the first version of "For All Tid" - the crappy black-and-white sleeved one, not the re-issue in colors and tracks added. Not that their last 4-5 albums are too difficult to come by - not even this one. But getting your grubby mitts on the original For All Tid will take some work, I believe.

  • @KuldeHimself I envy you. I only have the reissue of For All Tid...

  • Eh... I'm digging more on old Satyricon and Darkthrone than old Dimmu...

  • i like every album of Dimmu. and syn47 couldn say it better. In my opinion everybody who is such stupid and say the new stuff of Dimmu is crap should go home and listen to BRING ME THE HORIZON.

  • los espero manana houston

  • new dimmu is better hands down.

death cult armageddon to be more precise.

i dont see why you would prefer this more.

just because the newer stuff has more of a fanbase doesnt mean its worse, they became more popular because their music is better... not because theyre corporate sellouts. and im not quoting anyone specifically.

  • @syn47

death cult Armageddon is not mainstream and sellout material.

abrahadabra is the mainstream blackmetal sellout shit that noone likes, not deathcult. deathcult is great.

  • The roaring should not be measured quantitatively, it flows with the direction of the song, listen: guitar, synth (roar), guitar (roar) , synth (end roar), 5 minutes that will change your life.

  • new album sucks...dont waste your money

  • @metalmonster456 you suck

  • @varnoth no probably rigth i dont even care their albums anymore

  • bring this dimmu back

  • Still a classic black metal record... where did they go wrong???

  • Vive le black ! Pour les black métaleux francais, ca c'était du bon black, rien a voir avec ce que dimmu est devenu, et son dernier album tout pourri, vive les 90 !

  • really awesome!! hail dimmu borgir!!!

  • en el caso de DIMMU BORGIR los tiempos pasados son mucho mejores que los presentes todo por querer ser mas comerciales y hecharse un par de dolares mas a los bolsillos

  • the fucking old good times of Dimmu Borgir......

  • @disgorge00 i know :( now their a gay commerical band with stupid african noises...so glad i didn't buy the new album.

  • @disgorge00 same here

  • so they remade this song?

  • maldita sea x q ya no es el mismo shagrath

  • Not saying their new albums are bad, but this is so much better than their newer music
