  • I really think you shouldn't THROW the hedgehog babies down like you did!! They are fragile.

  • @beccababy73 hmm, they all grew up to be some of the nicest hedgehogs anyone has seen, but ok, tall me how to care for my pets

  • @earthling1984 you freaking animal abuser don't throw them down there fragile what if i threw you down a 20story building you die like you did to them

  • @bobrusable He didn't throw them, are you blind?

  • @el3m2tigre he did are you blind?

  • @bobrusable Rolling of his hand from a height of 2 inches is throwing? You're delusional.

  • @el3m2tigre Ur pathetic for thinking i was serious.

  • @bobrusable Excuse me for not grasping your seriousness through text.

  • @earthling1984 wow that was one of the douchiest reply i have seen to a comment. She wasn't even being disrespectful.

  • @earthling1984 Dude, I was expecting some Babe Ruth action from the comment you replied to! People are such spazzes.

  • @earthling1984 did you name one.... SONIC?! *BADUM-TSH*

  • @AntiChristAntiFail lol mines name is sonic. :)

  • @beccababy73

if you have eyes, he placed them down

  • @beccababy73 I've watched this video several times....don't see any of them being thrown down as you're trying to imply. Little ones like these need stimulation.

I doubt they're as fragile as you may think.

Thanks to great folks like these for taking time to post their experiences with us!

I've enjoyed watching this several times and look forward to watching these grow up!

wish I could have them...but with 5 cats...don't think so!

  • What is the youngest age that you can buy the hedgehog at?

  • @EnvyJadeonUtube usually between 2 and 3 months is the youngest, any younger than that is unsafe for the baby hedgehog.

  • @earthling1984 i got my hedgie at barley 6 weeks....

  • @EnvyJadeonUtube BUY??? to BUY ??? Thats an animal which should live outside not being a PET!! Ignorant humans!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi!

What is the cheapest hedgehog color?

    :) Your pets are coool!!

    And 1 more thing.

Whats the worst time you've been pricked by a hedgehog? Did it draw blood? Can it draw blood?

  • @TheAnimalClan27 usually salt and pepper is the least expensive. never has a hedgehog caused me to bleed.

  • @earthling1984 I saw an advertiesment on a website and she's a certified USAD breeder and she sells for FOURTY ($40.00) dollars and up to $100.00.She is awesome. Do you think that shes a rip off?

  • @QualityQuills Thanks. I know what I'm doing.

  • Comment removed

  • @QualityQuills are you mental? That is the hedgehogs NATURAL defense instinct.... they have barely been introducted to humans, OF COURSE they would exibit this behavior... wow, you need to think before speaking...

  • @QualityQuills -.- his 4 days of from them being 2 weeks ...really lol

  • @Litt0MiMi Hedgehogs are very sensitive. Your smell on the babies too young could cause the mother to eat them. That's not a risk I would personally take.

  • omg i really want one but they expensive -_-

  • Cute!!

  • so cuteee! ^0^

  • Where can you buy hedgehogs?

  • @MrsHedghog From shelters, pet stores, or anyone who breeds them. They may not be able to sell them in certain areas because they're illegal. Not sure why though. :/

  • SONIC!!!!

  • Thts the new patch for the sonic game. Now you able to use the baby sonic!

  • Are these from the big chubby female that was eating the pinks?

  • @katie113098 I was asking my mom yesterday but then she said yes. But today she said no!!! it's not fair!!!

  • do you sell these

  • DUDE!

  • D'aww, they're like little tiny pinecones!

  • u selling any?

  • wait, i thought hedge hogs hurt.

  • @flaminlolland123 they do at first. If you aren't scared of them they don't hurt at all.

  • wtf are those things 0.0

  • @MafiaCarrots hehe. They are African Pygmy Hedgehogs :)

  • @MafiaCarrots they r cute :3

  • do they always curl up in balls like that or just when they are little

  • @Plattapeople they can do it when older too. The more you handle them and tame them, the better they will be with humans. Curlins is their natural defence though, and even nice hedgehogs will often curl into a ball upon being disturbed, but if you pick him/her up with some beeding, from underneath, then place him on a flat surface, he will usually calm down and start talking around curiously.

  • @earthling1984 some typos.. but I think you got my point :) Curling* and Walking*

  • Grrr.

I wonder whyy hedgiess are so expensive when they can only live up to able 8 years.

    whereas turtles can live like 40-50 or more years and cheaper. D;

I love turtles, but hedgies are just so friendly compared to the turtles.

  • do you sell the animals that you breed? btw they are very cute

  • lol at 00:21 you just like drop one

  • meh ;p I guess, only like 1/2 inch tho :)

  • @nntrebing lmfao I noticed that too

  • can u buy like baby albino hedge hogs? like mabye a month or 2 old

  • 2 months old is usually the youngest you will find hedgehogs for sale. Yes there are albino hedgehogs, so if you can find a breeder who has some young ones for sale, it should be possible.

  • They are awesome. I am getting one and i will put him in one of those untill hes about 2mos old then he will move to a larger wire cage for rabbits and guiney pigs or a zoozone cage i dont know witch yet. when they bite does it hur and do they do it often(when they are not used to people handling and touching them) because i have a sugar glider that bitees realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly HARD and i dont want another pet like that so ya i cant wait untill i get my very own litt bby

  • any type of pet can or can not bite. All depends on how they were raised. If you purchase a young / nice hedgehog that doesn't bite when you purchase him/her, then it should be easy to continue to keep him/her tame. If he already bites it will be hard to change the habit.

  • ok thx for the info!

  • You have some cute little pintos here. I actually had a litter of 4 on October 25th and they are pintos as well a few are choclate pintos and some cinnamon pintos. You are doing an awesome job! If you have time check out my video of the 4 i have " Juno and Hedgewood's Babies! " There is a runt, and we aren't sure if she will make it.. they are now three weeks and she's still alive but so so tiny!

You are doing a really good job!

  • Oh that is so cute seeing them walk around and like I mentioned with all the human contact they will be super friendly look forward to seeing more videos as they grow

  • I bet they will be super sweet! And you are right that is expected she is just protecting her babies that one is so cute that keeps moving when you touch it and then it rolled...he he he....are they active walk around alot?

  • Every once in a while I will see one or two of them out in the cage, usually during the middle of the night if they are awake. They are still very clumsy and don't move around very well on their own. Most of the time they are still just in the hide/nest. They will probably start exploring more once they are about 3 weeks old.

  • I love how they roll LOL so cute!!!

  • Cute Hedgehogs.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • OMG so CUTE!!! Gosh I want one...lol...they had changed so much in 1o days so momma doesnt get upset you pick them up? they are gonna be so tame since they are gonna be handled and around humans alot

  • The mom hisses when I go in the cage, but that is expected. She doesn't bite me or anything, just a little crabby. She has re-accepted all babies after multiplr handlings so seems good! I'm sure the babies are gonna be super sweet! :)

  • Dude pretty neat!

  • The mom doesnt mind?

  • It is recommended not to handle them for a couple weeks... I didn't touch them for about 7 days. I first only picked up one then waited a day to make sure the mom re-accepted the baby. The last few days I've held them just a minute or two a day.

  • I'm glad your being careful.

  • they are so adorable

  • sweet :)

  • nice
