  • Fuck sopa

  • If this song was anymore Epic the planet would explode!

  • Your vid went viral on San Salvador

  • @8down10 Don't see it. I wish this was on DVD, I'd love to buy it.

  • Also used in the Hong Kong movie "Moon Warriors"! I was SHOCKED when my friend told me he had no idea who Ennio Morricone was.

  • @samsamba08 Moon Warriors? It's on "secret rivals" I think

  • @samsamba08 if your friend had no idea who Ennio Morricone was, then he is mentally ill XD

  • one of the movie of the trilogy of "the Peon" by Sergio Solima --

  • 魂を揺さぶられる音楽ですね。モリコーネ最高!

  • I loved this movie. I liked the epic finale.

  • Impossible to find this movie!

  • @hanshotfirst1138 its on youtube in full believe it or not :) just search the big gundown and its about videos down, and its defietely worth watching, by far the best non-leone spaghetti western

  • Comment removed

  • @hanshotfirst1138 about 3 videos down*

  • Love this one - never heard it before! :)

  • 8down 10... I haven't seen too many spag. westerns that I thought were intelligent. I liked "the ruthless four" with Van Heflin, and "find a place to die" with Jeffrey Hunter. I liked the Eastwood dollar trilogy, but the G B & U should have used cap & ball pistols for the civil war era, & Clint shooting Tuco's rope at several hundred yds. was too unbelievable. Some spags. were entertaining, however like "death rides a horse", but if the real west was like Italy portrayed it, no one would survive

  • @Lyndle54 well it certainly isn't the glorious land that the old John Wayne and Gary Cooper films portrayed it as being, the spag. westerns are the more realistic of the two genres, and the finer in my opinion. the things you mentioned in GBU don't bother me because ones an anachronism which all historical films have and the other isn't impossible. btw there are quite a few intelligent spaghettis, namely Corbucci's, Solimas and Leone's last two, as well as others such as Quien sabe? and DRAH

  • I wish they used this song in Read Dead Redemption.

  • It's hard to believe such a mediocre film could have such an awesome soundtrack. Without Morricone's music, no one would even bother with this nuttiness. Oh well, a lot of spaghetti's were worse, with only the music rescuing them. I love Edda's voice & the electric guitar in this score, along with the choir.

  • @Lyndle54 mediocre? i admit that there are many bad spaghetties but there are many brilliant ones and this is one of them, definetely the best non-leone western

  • @8down10 By mediocre I mean Corbett getting shot by the Mormon girl, but punching & chasing Cuchillo a day or two later. Or shooting Cuchillo's knife out of the air without even aiming. Or Cuchillo throwing a knife faster than his opponent can draw a gun & getting him right between the eyes. Mediocre, & CHEESY! And unrealistic.

  • @Lyndle54 well i completely disagree but if thats the way you see it then i cant argue. i thought the film is the most underrated of all time

  • @Lyndle54 It has a lot of great moments. In my opinion this flick is almost as great as the first two Leone-westerns. You should watch this again.

  • THIS IS THE VERY ITALIAN MUSIC...THANKS ENNIO

  • 6 dislikers hımmm..... one revolver clip has 6 six bullets so kill everyone the "GOOD" :D

  • La musique a un nom : Morricone.

  • No 'rock' band on Earth could create a sound this big.

  • wow! that was incredible

  • Liam Howlett brought me here :D

  • man, I would love to get a guitar tab for this master piece, especially the intro.

  • thats one hell of a song!

  • you know, leone's westerns had not been half that good without morricone's glorius music

  • in myass plz?

  • When people stop badmouthing those whose opinion is different ? if you like it like it

don't get angry if someone doesn't like it lol

  • the dislike button is the size of bieber's gun :P

  • I don't get it why people are such bitches about whether one's personal opinion whether this western classic is awe-inspiring or obsolete. If you ask me they have the right to their own opinion - what you seem to forget. That's why there IS a dislike button - unlike you, Youtube is open-minded; else there would only be a dislike button on every JB song ever...

    Just sayin'

  • @MrQTarantino sendt me here...

  • Quentin Tarantino brought me here.

  • I shall reply here as your pussy lock on your page prevents me from doing it there. Search Zephyr trolls mate. Also, know what your going on about before you make yourself look a twat. xx

  • Those are 3 FUCKING MORONS living in the RETARD ZONE!! Prepare to dig & meet your maker, you bunch of LOSERS!!

  • HOE

  • HOLY SHIT !

    I GOT 666TH LIKE!

ALSO HOW DO YOU FIX A BROKEN CAPS LOCK KEY?

  • Talk about music that you can feel going through your soul ! Intense!

  • I hate the inflationary way some people use the word "epic" ....but man....morricone IS epic...

  • man diss is da only cleef movie i haven't seen

  • american cowboys (clint eastwood) Mixed with italian music and filmakers= 100% Awesomeness!!!

  • Morricone's music has a power no one else can come close. 'Puts hair on your chest' as they say.

  • Everybody be sure to check the cover version listed in the video responses. Morricone himself would be proud.

  • my fav. soundtrack ever!!!

  • hammer lied.

  • Things to do while listening to this:

    1) Walk in slow motion in the middle of the desert

    2) Go grocery shopping on a holiday.

    3) Run from the nazis who just killed your family, to the hills!

    4) Have a gundown.

  • @skulldrix 4)Have a BIG gundown

    5) Hunt a person in a cool way like Lee Van Cleef does.

  • I WANNA PLAY THIS ON MY TRUMPET!

mostly the part from 1:18 and up

  • Still dont know how can one single piece of music be so damn epic

  • @Kouma013 Because the power of a man training since he was 6 can be powerful.

  • @garrash6 And he composed this when he was only 38. One of my biggest dreams is to see Morricone composing for a western again, can you imagine how would it be now he's got 44 more years of experience?!!!!

  • @Kouma013 Your mind will (literately) be blown away

  • Envy (also called invidiousness) is best defined as an emotion that "occurs when a person lacks another's superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it. And that's why there are 3 dislikes!

  • @PrietenulDeIncredere Well said!

  • @PrietenulDeIncredere i love this, but i have to disagree on one thing...EVERYBODY lacks the superior quality of Ennio Morricone! Thats why is he is so damn amazing!!!

  • Thumbs up for Ennio & Liam!

  • I heard this theme in a lot of martial arts movies also that how Epic Morricone is He Awesome.

  • @MegaWhackMan That's where I first heard it as well - in a promo for the HK movie Moon Warriors!

    Awesome music.

  • @forafewdollarsless Give them only one, they don't deserve their own coffins :)

  • @UncomfortableSilence coffins? heh, that's funny. I'd say leave 'em for the buzzards. Except I think they might poison the buzzards.

  • @forafewdollarsless Fuck it, why not make it 4. Get 4 coffins ready....

  • @forafewdollarsless probably whine about the quality but still bring 4 coffins.

  • I'm ashamed I didn't know this until I heard the cover from The Prodigy.

  • Lee Van F-ing Cleef!!!

  • I was so lucky to get to see this movie on a film history course as part of my cultural history studies in university. It was some years ago, and I hadn't seen any Spaghetti Westerns before, nor Lee Van Cleef. Have to say I was impressed by pretty much everything in it... and LVC is still my hero. :)

  • nice picture of the great Lee Van Cleef ! great track too...

  • In a word...epic. Timeless timeless classic and genius of a man was Morricone.

  • almost sounds like gladiator music

  • this tune kicks more ass than...

    an asskicking machine!

  • i sooo bad want to see this movie... anyone got a tip for me where the hell i can find it?

  • @comicguitar Amazon

  • That guitar opening is timeless

  • great film if you can get your hands on it, really rare.

  • if i had a marching band i`d make them play this stuff all day long till they drop down dead!

  • Thank's for posting

  • Both this and the John Zorn version are epic, I can't decide which one I like more

  • Now that I have heard this song I must see the movie.

  • There is a spaghetti western inspired band called The Hellbenders who do a great version of this song on their album "Today We Kill, Tomorrow We Die": 2 guitars, bass and drums. I even saw them play it live. Look for it on Double Crown records.

  • Brilliant movie.

  • good song, cool to see where the prodigy for their inspiration

  • WOAW AwESOME !

  • I bought the LP to this in '68 after seeing the film.

The cover said "Mr Ugly Comes to Town". Not quite right, as Van Cleef was "The Bad".

  • They switched that in post production. The early trailers had Tuco as 'The Bad' and Angel Eyes as 'The Ugly', hence why your LP had it wrong.

  • For some reason, I want to see someone turn this song into an animated music video with gameplay footage from Red Dead Redemption. That would be awesome.

  • Check out the Prodigy song with the same name, that features samples from this

  • The Prodigy version is Amazing!;D

  • Bravissimo! Ennio Morricone is a God.

  • Ennio Morricone is the Greatest in All Time and Lee Van Cleef is the coolest Gunner Ever!!!

  • Goosebumps, Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!

  • Hell yeah! KING FALCON SAVES THE DAY!

  • now this what i call western hero music!

    Lee van cleef forever!

  • @karateslaginnek

i gave a thumb up to make it a 40

  • @4321micro well thank you! XX

  • the first time i heard this song was for the opening of a kung fu movie called 'Secret Rivals' i knew it sounded very morricone-esque. Thanks for the upload

  • Sollima`s classic

  • another movie with "angeleyes"

    wikkkiiiddd

  • Gerade eben zum ersten Mal gehört. Bin begeistert!

  • Man, and thought The Prodigy's version was cool.

Every time I think I've heard all the really great Morricone scores I stumble onto another!

  • @TheInflicted If you like spaghetti westerns you should watch the film - this piece is the soundtrack for second half of an epic chase sequence. (the soundtrack for the first part is much stranger but equally great)

  • @TheInflicted listen to the originals they're always the best

  • This is fantastic, wish you could buy this music somewhere. Saw it on ebay for like $149 for a cd. Same with Death Rides a Horse

  • @tb516 I just got it quite cheap as a double feature with "Faccia a Faccia". Maybe that CD costs less.

  • @tb516

This soundtrack is actually on iTunes, save 139$ and buy it there.

  • one of the best scores by the master ennio morricone. truly epic!

  • he's been spotted! In the cane fields!

  • CORONEL MORTIMER

  • what kind of guitar does he use for this

how does he get that sound

  • Its a baritone guitar. Do a search for it, all spaghetti westerns adopted this type of guitar for their sound. Also surf bands in the 60's used baritone guitars.

  • "Of course I know the man you're trying to find out about, of course I know him. He's COLONEL DOUGLAS MORTIMER---Nortimer---a brave man---a soldier---he was known as the best shot in the Carolinas, a great soldier!"---line from "For A few Dollars More" In "The Master" he is asked how he severed the bad guy's artery he answered "With my fingers."

  • Wow, absolutely adore this type of cinema!!

    einfach nur geil!!!

  • Van Cleef is the best there is. Nuff said.

  • unattainable genius, truly the greatest composer of all time

  • the guitar thing in the begining always sounds like it should be in metal n shit, its soooooooo freaking awesome

  • What is the actual name of this track? Thought I had the complete soundtrack from resa dei conti but its not on it...?

  • @nickmcgurk It's La Resa Dei Conti - Seconda Caccia on the soundtrack at Spotify.
