Amazing... a chef who does not know that raw eggs my contain SALMONELLA.
Dude, this is not the 14th century! Use pasteurized eggs, or add the eggs to the hot chocolate (about 160 degrees F).
HOW DARE YOU go on Youtube withthis DANGEROUS recipe! YOU are the reason half a million Americans get food poisoning annually. I wonder if you wash your hands after using the bathroom. That's not sarcasm. That is my lack of confidence in your SAFE FOOD HANDLING procedures.
@kiran97aulakh it's not the same as our mars. the mars bar he's got is milky way in the usa. what we call 3 musketeers is milky way over there. confusing lol
oh, i think it was notlight and airy because he started to fold the mixture which makes there be no air bubbles, he should have mixed it properly or whisked it so there were lots of air bubbles so it is light, airy and fluffy:)
Eating raw eggs in dishes in America is not recommended due to the risk of salmonella. The corporations that raise 90% of the eggs in America have successfully fought any regulations that would reduce contamination. This is because of how eggs are produced in assembly line fashion by millions of hens in cages. Taking steps to eliminate contamination would cost the corporations millions of dollars in 'lost' profits. I even had to stop making egg nog for Christmas. So sad.
the mousee is hard as shit , doesnt explaine its got raw eggs in it so if not eaten then and there it can kill you and does cowboy methods like microwaving chocolate and cant even whisk egg whites or cream buy hand ... mate your shit

why would i use proper grammar to comment on youtube videos? who am i trying to impress? i'm just sharing my opinion with people.
I watch them because the thumbnails of his videos look nice on the sidebar, which is false advertising because in the end,,,,,,,,,,,,, it looks nothing like the picture nor is it the same recipe as in that pic
when its done will it taste like 70%cacao chocolate. Like that bitter taste. I dont really like chocolate over 60% 65% maybe.. if they make that. But my friend made me try 70% once and it was wayyy to bitter.
@FatalBeauttii Even so, a mousse should not have that texture and consistency. It should be a lot lighter. The dessert he's made looks a bit too dense, more like a kind of fudge.
That said, mousse is not an easy dish to get right. A friend of mine, who is actually a very good cook, had the same problem.

@proudmexican111 Don't be silly! Haven't you ever bought chocolate/strawberry/other flavoured mousse from the refrigerator part of the supermarket? You'll find it's light, fluffy and nowhere near as dense as the version he's made, despite the surrounding temperature.
And I admire Nicko for making a career out of this, but he's not a professional, trained chef (he says so in his latest video), just someone who has always enjoyed cooking as a hobby.

Hey Nicko! Just wanted to ask, do you have to mix the cream? I don't have an electric mixer and friend mixing with a fork, but it actually got liquified more. Also, beating the egg whites was working with a fork but took nearly half an hour! D: Any tips?
@XXmaryXX214 e coli is something you get from faeces (i.e. shit), which is why people can get it if they don't wash their hands. you can sometimes get salmonella from old eggs, so if you use fresh ones it's fine.

@BellaOfBacardi how did it come out?
Makron5 1 year ago
@Makron5
Each time I make it; the outcome is different.
It's thicker than pudding, more chocolatey,
and it's important for the chocolate to melt thoroughly
(bits of unmelted chocolate can disturb the creamy texture).
I have yet to perfect it, but I do enjoy the flavor.
