Woohoo wrote @juandangas: you talk alot of shit about this song, w/ me & other people, but you have nothing to show of your own talent, Mr. Singer-Songwriter .. you probably suck the most... ; )
Thanks Woohoo or is it Boohoo? You’re right, I talk shit about this song & have no posted videos. You call me Mr. S. S, but you add I suck the most? Well, it’s obvious Boohoo you are no musician & playing the radio doesn’t count.
Truth be unknown, this cover job of Chris Youlden's with S B is awful. You say you always wanted to hear a band butcher this song? I don't expect covers to be as good as the original, but these guys play the song so bad they suck. What good is it to play covers well? You state a good cover does the original justice, while inflicting flavor and for that reason these guys did the song justice. I guess that is true if you don't have to listen to it.
Good cover job of one of my fav's!............. I've always wanted to hear somebody do this and you dudes did a great job. Some folks expect the cover version to be a copy of the original,...........however.............what the fuck good is that? A great cover does the original justice while inflicting yer own flavour into it.............and in that mode, you guys did good......real good. :)
Gosh guys, I guess you have the right idea because this is a classic blues number sung by the great Chris Youlden, however your rendition of a Savoy Brown song is too slow, your vocalist sucks, and the band is at best mediocre. Basically you guys are awful. Word to the wise, don't tackle tunes you have no chance of reproducing. Stick with simpler songs till you replace your singer.
@juandangas Have to agree with you. These chaps really are nothing more than mediocre. Saw S.B. several times at the Marquee with C.Y. singer and man, as you wrote, don't try something until you're proficient enough to do it justice. This is an abortion! As for the fucking singer????????? You should, if you haven't already, give a listen to the two C.Y. albums. They're excellent. All the best. By the way, I used to work with Kim S.'s ex-wife around '91-2.
First of all, despite it's relative obscurity this Savoy Brown tune is an absolute badass blues classic. I mean, what male of the species can't relate to the lyrics? lol Excellent job by the band here. Only slight criticism would be the vocalist who, while otherwise doing a fine job, never quite manages to nail the high notes.
Great rendition.

The singer is what is known as "swallowing his tongue" - think Kermit the Frog. Sorry, I do a really good Chris Youlden.

good vocals, clean playing and yet it suffers from being at about 75% of the original speed. Pick it up and you've got a very good cover.

@juandangas - I agree 100%. The song has terrible flow. Try tapping your foot to it. The meter is all over the place.
