  • my dogs were mating today and i was trying to stop them but they got tied together and i separated them is that good? ( the boy and girl were going to get spayed and neuter but it wasnt until next month)

  • i think u grow to love any dog and anyone shouldn't care what breed they are...they are all dogs the same thing and they all need love STOP PUPPY MILLS!

  • Black dogs and black cats in shelters get passed over more than pets of other colors. There are specific rescue groups on Yahoo just for Black dogs and black cats.

  • i moved out of my house and the neighbour wanted my cat as he became friends. All worked out well. We own our own home now with 3 cats and a dog.

  • What burns me up is someone that has a pet finds themselves in a position they have to move, and the apartment they are moving to doesn't allow pets, so the pet gets sent to the shelter. That is such a shame. I wouldn't move anywhere without my pets, but some do not have a choice.

  • Agreed. One of the things dog owners can do is to find a privately-owned no-kill rescue. Rescues can keep dogs much longer than a shelter or a pound, until they find a new home for the dog. Some rescues have a tremendous network of foster homes as well. Those of us who are no threatened to move should find a reputable rescue, and volunteer to foster an unwanted dog.

  • Very true, and I absolutely agree. However, a lack of knowledge is what hinders some folks. They just do not know anything other than "the pound" is where the pet has to go. In our area the humane society, or any other rescue is extremely hard to get a hold of, and I think we lack foster families, too.

  • I ABSOLUTELY AGREE.

But there is only one flaw; You also dont know that dogs history; It could be animal/human aggresive, or territorial, or poorly socialized; So you have to really careful when you adopt; As long as those dogs are rehabilitated, I want to encourage people adopting dogs!

  • My Dear! Oh, you have my so excited! I am writing an article EXACTLY covering that topic. You are either brilliant, or we are twins! You can't express all that you feel and know in one video, but you hit it all in your comment. Thank you!!!

  • Aww.. Poor dogs. All they need is a nice, loving home where they are given food, shelter, and lots and lots and lots of love!

    Good luck!!!!!! :-) :-)

  • and you certainly have the right to purchase a dog for hundreds of dollars that a puppy mill sold to a petstore for only $5.00, therefore, promoting the puppy mill industry, thus promoting pet over-population, thus promoting 4-5 million pets euthanasized each year. Once your puppy mill dogs start getting older and developing genetic disorders, your vet bills may rise because of careless breeding driven by greed. Good luck!

  • and the same thing can happen with pet finder and shleter dogs. "vet bills may rise because of careless breeding driven by greed." Those dogs are pretty much all you will find in a shelter. Well bred dogs with champion blood lines don't end up in shelters. I like pet stores :) I dont like puppy mills but BYB's are cool with me.

  • it's obvious that you are terribly uneducated. Again, I wish you luck and happy pets.

  • I hope you never become an ex-wife or girlfriend and the gentlemen you meet think "used" women are gross.

  • hehehehehehehehe used people ARE gross

  • good one!!! There's no time in life to discriminate like this poor soul is!!! Thanks for your comment. I can not allow my videos to create anger and debates like this. Thanks again.

  • all my 4 boys (dogs), r all adopted & they all r good looking & pure bred (smooth hair fox terrier, basset hound, shi tzu & maltese)

  • Visit my website, TheDogLiberator (dot) com

  • A very powerful message, Gisele! Thanks for those numbers.

  • If someone wants to describe another person as being without conscience, compassion, kindness, or empathy they'll call that person "an animal." How ironic, it's the humans who use and abuse the supposed "lower life forms" we have dominion over. Puppy-millers, careless breeders, but most of all those people who buy a dog (or any animal) on impulse then discard it when it becomes an adult, inconvenient, or too much trouble disgust the rest of us.

  • Sure wish this were a TV ad.

  • Maybe folks like you can forward it to folks who WOULD make it a tv ad!!! Thanks for your comments! Gisele

  • That is a wonderful idea! We have to get this message out now. Next year those numbers will be higher. How truly sad. Did it have the number of pugs?

  • They should play it during the Super Bowl as a tribute to Michael Vicks tortured Pit Bulls!

  • This is very powerful! I hope it hits home with the right folks. I for one and very tired of picking up the pieces, yes my conscience will not let me turn my back on them. SE. Border Collie Rescue League.

  • This is so sobering! If you watch this video and don't feel a great sense of disappointment in the responsibility of mankind, go and visit a shelter in your community. Smell the desperation, hopelessness, and chaos of living in a cement cell with excrement from multiple dogs in a small space. Feel the impending death of each of these beings because euthanasia is inevitable. DO SOMETHING!

  • Interesting... here I am on youtube. I stumble across a video from a talented filmogropher (whom I know, by the way. At the same time I am watching the Bourne Ultimatum.

I am torn. However, the MUSIC, not the video caught my attention: Edith Piaf's "No Regrets."

Now, we all have heard this tune. The words on the screen make an impact- sure. But, the words of the song really drive it home.

In my mind's eye, I see myself rescuing a Border Collie on the horizon, and having no regrets.

  • And we can just imagine where the 8000+ Pit Bulls end up. People. WAKE UP. This is so wrong. Ask yourself this question BEFORE getting the dog. "Am I going to keep and care for this dog for 15 years?????" If the answer is anything but ABSOLUTELY, then don't get one. If you have to even THINK about it for 2 seconds, don't get one. And for Gods sake, do NOT get one from a puppy store. Get me a barf bag too.

  • There are some wonderful, good-hearted folks out there that want a dog for their family. Yet they don't know what's really going on. Maybe, with our help, they can truly understand, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Maybe we can help the American family in getting the right dog, for the right reason. I LOVE DOGS, but they have to be placed in the right environment to achieve success. Join us! Let's make a better place for the American Pet! Let's not judge, but help, educate, and empower!

  • ......and STOP breeding them! For God's sake, I purchased 3 pugs from 3 separate breeders over a 3 year period and all 3 of them need to be spayed for one reason or another. Yet these are all dogs that were purchased as breedable. These genetics don't need to be passed on. SPAY and NEUTER! At least then when you decide to dump your dogs, they won't be breeding in a mill. Karen

  • though there are great breeders out there trying to help the breeds there are many many more byb that breed for the sake of the almighty doller they make me sick

  • Absolutely. Where would we be without reputable breeders who protect the breed. Most reputable breeders rescue their breed of focus as well. And top notch breeders started somewhere. You don't become a Westminster winner overnight. Thanks for your comment.

  • I've got news for ya.....There's NOT that many "good breeders". 99% of them are in it for the money.

    Dogs ARE NOT A COMMODITY.

ANYONE that gets a dog ANYWHERE besides your local shelter, is signing a death warrant for a GOOD shelter dog and keeping the "dog factories" in business.

Let me say it again...."DOGS ARE NOT A COMMODITY". Just because they use the word "breeder" in their business description, doesn't change the fact that they're in it for THE MONEY. Don't be fooled!

  • A standing ovation for this one! And these numbers are NOT included in the 7-9 million dogs and cats that are euthanized in out shelters every year. Lets also not forget the ones dumped in breed specific rescues. There are SIX pug rescues in the state of Florida alone! And can't forget the ones that are dumped on the streets, or just "magically" disappear. This HAS to stop.

  • thank you so much for validating what I feel in my heart. Stop... enough is enough. There comes a time where you just have to stand up for what you believe in... eh?

  • I forgot the plight of the kitty! Thank you for reminding us.

  • No, thank you for the video. If it only teaches one person and the next one teaches another, it's all worth it. Karen

  • I humbly accept your thanks, for I know what you do, behind the scenes. Gisele

  • AMEN. I met this woman at the dog park today. She told me her 10 month old Rottie mix was from her friend's son. The dog is 10 months old. SHe has a new litter already. And guess what? The 10 month old has terrible hip displasia. I almost threw up.

  • thank you for your comment... but please excuse me while I puke!!! I agree. We humans have gone wrong, but I can't tell you when, or why... but somwhere from the 1960s to present, something has gone terribly wrong. But what? I wish it was like the good old days again. Dogs were valued.

  • This is the count of animals in the USA alone. We must stop the mills, the backyard breeders. All of them. Each and every one. Stop them now!

  • THANK YOU!!!!

    Gisele
