just so you know, if you take the stock intake elbow that goes from the box up by the radiator, you can put that on the throttle body and clamp a filter to the end so it sucks up less hot air. i did both setups on mine and you can tell a difference with my setup

BALLZ!!! i love my century. i got a 3100 with a chip and a dual cold air intake, split exsust and, headers and a turbo. its pretty quit.lol their good cars

runnin like a baby 3800 i got a 95 GS Coupe 3800 no boost, supercharged, stage 1 tune, turbonator, k&n, gatorback, and a couple of others things 4t60e trans and i always whoop ass it s a sleeper a clean ass sleeper roof leather sounds and a lotta balls for a 6 with no boost.

That would be called a short ram intake, not a cold air intake.

CAI's have long pipes so it can pull air from outside the engine bay.

i have one of these cars, a 1996 3.1L v6 buick century. i would like to get some minor power adders installed on it and turn it into a civic smoking granny car sleeper but im afraid if i walk into a shop asking about it ill just get laughed right out of the place lol

@MikeLevi316 Just do ur intake, exaust, and little stuff like that u can make ur own intake by going to autozone and buying tubing and and a cone filter from spector perfromance i made a intake for my buick for like 80 bucks including the cone filter thats washable and u can get more exaust flow by cutting off ur cat converter or putting on a higher flow muffler but dont do both inless u want ur car to wake the neighbor hood everytime u drive down ur street.

There are a set of kids in my area with their civics that are mildly modded and they think they are all bad ass well i got a glasspack on my 99 century and they came were along side of me reving the shit outta the hondas and i put my century in nutral and pushed the pedal reved it shut them right up they rolled their windows up and all that havn't seen em sense

@gtlw344 nice! i love doing that. but for some odd reason my subaru's H4 sounds more muscular than my buicks v6 (i cut them both at the cat) my subaru just sounds more low toned and muscular, and my 3300 gets quieter i would say around 1500 RPMs anything before that sounds nice though. just looking for advice thats all, so i dont have some civic reving at my backup car and getting away with it. (my subaru WILL kick these civics and acura's asses "i beat an NSX so i sead the whole acura aria")..

@MikeLevi316 its not a ram air intake sorry to say you just put a high flow air filter on it ram air intake implys the intake opening is exposed to the air hitting the front of the vehicle when its traveling
