    DUDE:CORRECT!

    ME:O.O....dude..really?

  • Uhhhh; I didn't believe what Portal 2 was telling me, I had to see it for myself O~O;;;

  • So, you took a robot designed to be a moron and you put him in charge of the entire facility. Clap.....clap....clap

  • does it only work in series or paralell?

  • hey we are just talking about the battery not the calculator solving.

  • does it work??

  • @SiPlusPLKV xDD

  • Potato's are acids? I thought they were GLaDOS's!

  • @97kevinhuanle hahahah dudeee :DD I just got here because I was playing Portal 2 and I wondered... :D

  • ahhh the portal 2 references.

    1.1 volts of win.

  • Bird! Bird! Kill it! It's evil!

  • Is it possible to run an artificial Intelligence with this?

  • @rezaka116 This is like any battery but the current is in micro amperes.

  • @rezaka116 Are you serious? Ofcourse it is! Portal 2 ftw!

  • @vanjastanic LOL

  • @cplover3009 xD

  • Can it power a Slow Clap Processor?

  • @burnsy96 One potato cannot. Many potatoes connected in series or parallel can.

  • @edumation so how'd Wheatley do it? D:

  • AGH! A BIRD! KILL IT! ITS EVIL!

  • GLaDOS!!!

  • So, How are you doing? BECAUSE I AM A POTATO

  • Will it power a quasi-evil robotic AI?

  • @Lunarvx22 GLaDOS maybe. ^^

  • eezy learnink

  • what kind of wires do i need?

  • @ishaqorange copper wires

  • lol funny accent, i luv it wen u say potato

  • @frega95 seriously speaking, due to large volume of viewers from US, would it be OK if you narrate our videos in the future? Do you say, Patata instead of potato?

  • @edumation yes. yes i do.

  • Contact potential difference?

  • can a potatoe charge a capacitor?

  • @Iseekoutthetruth a very small capacitor

  • How many potatoes were required to build the calculator?

  • @ILIKESFLAN 3 potatoes

  • mashaAllah, god is great!

  • wee have used three potataoes toa make electricicty

what kind of accent is that?

  • watafaka...english 100+ - 20000000000

  • i love how he does "simple arithmetic" and keeps saying "correct!" as if the Potato would change the equations fundamentals =P

  • you can also run the casio calculator on your dental fillings

  • does it matter what kind of potato i use?

  • @reddanx35

NO. You may even use other fruits or Coke! Any acidic fluid would be OK

  • @msdaif how do i know what has acid fluid in them,, what is that exactly?,, very interesting video,, thanks

  • @7Supernova7 All fruits have acid. You, as a human, have acid inside you. You are a battery especially after having a meal!

  • @reddanx35 Round ones are best but even those will go flat after a while!!

  • thanx any way i m doin my project today

  • where can i find LED evey store i went they sayin they dont have LED CAN U TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND

  • @obijobij1 You need to solder it by yourself

  • @obijobij1 Try RadioShack. And make sure you spell it out, as otherwise they may think you mean lead, the toxic metal.

  • where can u find alligater clips because every time i look for them i get by sapraited alligater by itsel and the wire by it self ..i dont wan that i want all of them togather.

  • @obijobij1 it's normal that it's separated. you connect it. how simple. lol>>>

  • ahahahahahahahahahahah

    funnny assssssss acent

    arab

  • thanx i need this for my project

  • What`s your project about?

  • how do u get zinc from a battery or anything else that is safe

  • Zinc is a battery terminal

  • good english XD

  • I love this demonstration!!!

I am so new to science.

    This helped me a lot.

    Thank you so much!!!

I did have to look up the "galvanized nail". I now know it is zinc coated. Still learning...

  • is the copper coin inserted on the potato ?

please, I need your answer. :D

Our teacher asked us to make an IP, and I found this interesting. :) So, would you help me ? Anyone may do. ^___^ thank you !!

  • Yes. Insert the copper coin IN.

  • Why do you sound so amazed that the calculator spits out correct answers?

It's not the potatoes that are giving it the answers, rather the software in the calculator.

Potatoes do not produce "smarter" electricity.

  • Hey, I wasn't amazed. It was to draw the attention of viewers that the potato could produce enough power to do many calculations without power being intermittent.

  • sic

  • I actually had this as my 8th grade Science experiment in 1985. I had two potatoes, pennies and pieces of galvanized metals (zinc) for the contacts, alligator clips from Radio Shack and a digital watch with the battery compartment exposed. It worked like it should but somebody from my class stole my alligator clips the night before the big show! I think pennies back then had more copper content than they do now.

  • Ya man, thats how we make electricity in Jamaica!!! ;)

  • WTF???stange voice ahahahah...

  • thanks god!!!! you reminded me i have to change my calculator's potatoes!!!

  • thats cool but he says potato really funny,i love his accent! accents are cool

  • Could you be anymore boring? Whole video could have been done in < 1 minute

  • your so right

  • ERROR 1!!!

  • You are Palestinian, salam bro!

  • omg u talk like BORAT !

  • the potato is uhh makin uhh uhh uhh da elektricity!!!! yah!!! lol soo funny accent.

  • I like this dude's accent! :)

  • thank you =]

  • "The potato uh produces uh the electricity..." LOL

  • does it really? I always thought it was the copper and zink sharing electrons and th e potato/lemon was just a "pathway" for the electrons... if I am wrong feel free to correct me.

  • of cours it will work becus in bottatos 70% h2o

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok this thing's HILARIOUS

  • how many Ah are these good 4 :)

  • Very small. Probably a few micro ampere minutes

  • that was soooooo helpful im doing my science project on it and i needed to know how to connect it to the calculator!!!!

  • I rather eat them

  • what if your potato already has roots would it make the potato's current stronger?? or any effect at all?? or what if you have a bad potato?? would it then have less??

  • A fresh potato produces bigger current

  • thank you =]

  • To work: you need 2 OPPOSITE gender metals.

eg. Copper, and Zinc. Zinc is also called "galvanised" metal, but here is in fact an iron nail with Zinc plating, Zinc is usually used as protection of iron, against the elements (rain, snow, oxydation, etc).

Remember: you need 2 OPPOSITE GENDER metals in this process, in order to work. Everythong in the nature reffers to mother (Earth), as the male or female, SO AS METALS.

  • tahnx fo halp i need it to do scince fir tanx

  • I don't have a metre that measures electricity so can I use a lightbulb?

  • You can use a small lamp from a toy. A 60W lightbulb needs 250mA which requires 1000's of potatoes!

  • cool thx for the help

  • is it okay to use copper wire instead of copper coin. If so, whats the size of the wire?

  • Even a small size of copper wire will be allright

  • man it didnt work for me

  • Use more potatoes and make sure you connect them in series i.e. coin to nail, coin to nail, and so on and it should work.

  • coppär kooins

  • nice

  • It´s funny it is exactly what your mother ask me to do her all the time.

  • really? I thought only citrus fruits like lemons, limes, oranges, tangerines produce citrus acid not potatos

  • Certain amount of phosphoric and citric acids

  • what kind of acid are in potatos

  • pretty much all fruit can power an lcd clock. i did it for science fair one year.

  • yes! and that is also how they made such precise mesurements on many of thier arcutectual structures.

  • i tryed this experiment and it wors so cool!

  • where does the right wire go to ?

  • Radioactive potatoes, cool.

  • Man, all you need to know is the principles, research a little and read, not everything will appear before you eyes like on TV, even better, why don't you try it!!!

  • Are these scientificly engineered patatoes? What kind of potatoes are they? Can I use this method to charge rechargeable batteries?

  • Man please, Scientificly engineered? just plain potatoes, even lemons would work, check my site, click on my name and see for yourself

  • OMG TATER ELECTRICITY

  • i agree, it is a calculator and even if it was powered by apples, it would still prodcue correct answers.

  • I have a theory that if it were powered by an egg all the answers would be wrong. What do you think?

  • nah...if you hooked a few eggs in to your calculator im sure it would power up and function normally :P

  • Good discovery, but try to show all wires. keep trying...

  • how many potatoes to run a computer? lol

  • You would need around 2 million potatoes!

  • okay...

  • pwn3d own3d fuck3d omgf omg lololololol lmao

  • lmao.

  • whoah

i have this casio calc machine huhu

  • 0000000000.1 volt.. what a waste of time...

    good explanation thou...

  • if u don't deactivate that bomb then u'll be fried

  • what bomb?

  • mmm.........

ahora ya se en que puedo ocupar mis cents

  • does anyone know how much voltage he got?

  • 0.9V

  • Quote... potatos are not fruits xD ^^

    Still worked thought didn't it.

  • youre right, potatoes are french fries in hiding

  • nice video man, congratulations, now i was wondering do you think someday the alkaline batteries can be replaced with that? what would it take for that? by the way, your english is quite clear and easy to listen and understand, so keep it up. greetings from Mexico

  • My plan is to do more research to make batteries out of fruits; to make it possible to last long.

  • Somewhere in yer home country, somebody is starving because you deprived them of thet there potatoe. It was sposed to be their dinner.

  • Im going to stick copper coins and nails into the fruits of my house xD, and see whats the best

  • potatos are not fruits xD ^^

  • Lol your right xD

  • Yo a la papa la uso para sintonizar los canales de aire, le clavo dos agujas de tejer y va como piña..........

  • If you are going to explain, first use the right instruments, because you should use a voltmeter to measure the potential difference, useful people use ampermeter to check how much intensity you need to move voltage, and learn english

  • There's a coming video that will show you the generated voltages of lemon, potato, tomato, banana, etc. As for my English, I'm not a native speaker BUT I'll be happy if you can teach me; would you?

  • i understand your english better than other english-speaker videos :)

Oh, nice video; poor material make it more real :P

  • Yo ya lo había visto antes en un capítulo de Dexter, pero no sabía que si se podía hacer en realidad.

  • mangos and bananas are betters.....

  • lemon + potato = nuclear power

  • So, how long you can run your calculator without re-changing your potatoes?

  • lemon batteries are betters =P

  • But potatos are cheaper :P

  • Apple has more watts but less volts :P

  • a good man

  • thank you mehn. we need this for our project.
