Many strange things have happened in my life and this is up there with the strangest. I had a brother named Jimmy DeMers who passed away at the age of fifty four. Today is September 23rd, and it is his birthday. Not too many Demers in the world, perhaps we are kinsmen. I was singer and bass player with the group Velaires who can be heard performing on youtube.
