@ultramedieval I highly disagree I have a Bc rich warlock one "one" bass with double pickup that cost me £400 brand-new and the weight is unbelievably light The only thing that makes it seem heavy is the Bc rich coffin case I bought it for
got a favor to ask all b.c. rich lovers go to my friends band site and like it even if u dont like the music cuz there bassist is gonna give me his b.c rich bronze bass if i can get him 600 likes by friday of this week search untraced in fb and like them if u have a heart and dont want me to cry cuz i miss out on this thanks alot in advance
@iAmRobertTrujilloFan I've got one of these. It was in a shop in Glasgow at an insanely low price and I bought it on a whim. I'm glad I did but there are some issues. It doesn't balance very well, neck dive being a problem, and the straplock buttons cut into your body as they're rear mounted. I positioned the bass at the right height for me and just play around these issues. A case is a must as the horns on the headstock can be delicate. Sounds good and I look fucking great onstage with it!!!
@nightshadetheexorcis i have the widow and shit i personally fucking love it a lot...its fucking heavy tone wise and weight wise but nonetheless its awesome so i would recommend getting it...only problem is it neck dives but you'll end up not noticing it eventually
1:11 someone crapped in a cereal bowl of seek and destroy, and DEEN DEEN DEWN and bass riffs. well it tastes like shit smells like it too but its a breakfast cereal
@GrayXIII That's sortable with a good set up. Get the shop to do it for you when you buy it. Most basses are set up by the importer before despatch to the shops but if the importer is in New York and you're in El Paso then the bass is going to be way out due to the ambient temperature. This is embarrasing. I know too much. Does that make me a geek? Damn........
I've played one of these and they sound good, but i've played much better ones that may not look metal bt can keep up with the changing strings and you can still hear the disorted tone
no new bc richs suck ass. if you can find a used one made in america from the 80s their extremely good. i have a bright green warlock bass made in usa from the 80s its great, and has like 5 switches. but yah the one in the video sucks... its like a toy from a pharmacy store
I got one at an insanely low price last weekend. It sounds really good and plays nice but the straplock buttons dig into the players body and force the bass to hang oddly on the strap. I'm going to move them but the new locations need to be right so I'm not rushing it. It's a VERY big bass and you need the correct case and I suspect it could be a bit on the delicate side with all those fins and edges and horns. I have to chuckle when I pick the fucker up. Brings a smile to my face every time.
Yes it sounds really good although it sounds fairly nothing like mine here. I use filthy amps. One thing I have had happen is that I lay it on the bed while I adjusted the strap and the bedding pulled a small piece of the headstock off. I glued it back on with good glue and it's fine. You can't see the chip. I got me thinking that the bass wouldn't stand up to a tour or serious pro use but if you balance that against what I paid for it then that's ok.
i played this at house of guitars in rochester where i work. its actually great. i told em to keep one in stock till i graduate from college later this year. lol. or at least till i go back to new york
whats the quality like because i sarted bass half a year ago and my bass teacher says im doing well and my dad says that i can get a new bass soon in a couple of months i like metal and know alot about metal bass i just need it to be good quality caus my dad wants me to have a good quality 1 no matter what the price
If you know you will be playing metal, this would be a good bass to start with. The way the pickup is, its gonna sound good for metal, and OK in a lot of other areas. Plus you cant beat the looks for metal.
If you want to play more genres, I would go with something like an Ibanez. They are inexpensive and work in almost any genre.
I wouldn't get a Fender or Squire just cuz every1 else has one and they are big, bulky, and are way over priced.
Whatever u get, though, happy playing and good luck
i have an ibanez and i love the hell out of it, how ever our band is going to be covering some metal so im getting a bc rich walock for 200$. but yes ibanez works with mostly any genre lol i love em
so, any advise guys?, is there another brand that you recomend to buy for a beginner, in the range price of 300 to 400 ? or si this one good enough for a beginner?
only played a revenge so far. yes the neck back was black. I didn't realize i did not show the back. Next time i see one, bro. And i can play a little better now.
BC Rich basses are percfect choice for playing metal. That's for sure! I vote for the 5 string Vortex signature, that guitar just kicks ass! Amazing design and sound.
The B.C.Rich's sound fine for the price or not. I always say get the bass that is easy to play, for you. That way now matter over time if you find another bass. The easy playing one, you would keep over one harder to play on.
@universalrenote Very true. I have a bronze by bc rich war lock 4 string. it's my very first bass and i love it. But i played on a buddy of mines yamaha 5 string. and in comparison i liked mine better just for string placement. the bc rich has more room inbetween the strings compared to the yamaha where the strings were practically ontop of eachother. very wierd.
the vortex is a better bass it has an ebony fret board compared to the platinum's rosewood fret board. the pick ups are better in the vortex and the finish is nicer with cooler inlays. overall take the vortex warlock! :P
That looks fucking killer & sounds decent! & the price blew me away man.

Most of basses have buzz that's why you must buy some expensive one and try it out in many tunings before you buy it.
