You can put conditioner in your hair so it wont cause as much damage. Use however much lemon juice you want then go outside in the sun for about an 1-2 hours. [WARNING] if you have dark hair and dont want to make your hair orange-ish experiment get a streak of hair and see the results if it turns your hair orange. Also be careful if you want your whole hair to be all lighter. Make sure you get absolutely ALL the hair with lemon juice so it wont look patchy

@Phantomfan61 Lemon naturally dries out hair so that is natural to occur. U shud try to mix the lemon juice with something else to keep the moisture, water works fine or just mix it with your conditioner

@biebergurl555 that depends on your hair. it doesn't make your hair blonde or anything...all it does it help your natural highlights come out. if you have blonde highlights, it'll bring those out...red, brown etc. same thing.

@JoeAnnUhh I do it all the time, you just have to deep condition after. Because lemon juice is an acid, it will damage your hair, you just have to be careful. And if you have a lot of red in your hair, I wouldn't try it because it will turn it orange, but if it doesn't have too much it should turn blonde. And it won't be instant, it takes a lot of tries. I only recommend doing it 2 times a year, 3 at the most.

@meganilysm heyy , i actually did my indoors (because its winter) and all i did was towel dry it for about 30-45 minutes. then i let it air dry the rest , then just to amp it up a bit i took a blow dryer to it for about 2 minutes , then washed it , you know , the usual stuff... and it was wayyyyy blonder... i went from like a light/medium brown to light/dirty blonde, like a little bit lighter than a dirty blonde !! i hope this helps ! @ButterflyBuzz1 maybe longer, it doesnt really matter, butt maybe the sun wasnt directly on ur hair, maybe you didnt apply enough to get it to work. my suggestion is to take a shower, shampoo, and get conditioner that you have mixed with lemon and work it thru ur hair. rinse and add another layer of lemon. go out in the sun for about as along as you want. go out each day for results. ive tried this, it works

It works better is you use a brush, cotton or just your hand, i will not suggest to use the spray bottle because you can spray it in your eyes, and I believe it won't be fun or you can use the sprayer but put some gogles on it.
